I visited the doctor with a slightly raised rash on my side shortly after I started feeling itchy and was treated for scabies, and I went the extra step to be sure they couldn't live. At this point I don't believe I ever had scabies for many reasons. The rash faded away eventually but the itching never has, and I'm talking 6 months here. Since then I have not had any raised rashes, however, I have had hives appear randomly.
You may have "physical" or Cholinergic urticaria". Any rash (hives) appear together with itching? Next time when itching start take an antihistamine pill (like Benadryl). If this will help you, it means you have physical urticaria (allergy to heat in your case).
About a week ago I developed some itchy red spots on my left side just under my breast area. They itched mildly for about 5 days (nothing as intense as poison ivy) and Itch-X stopped the itching. Now they appear to be healing but have become painful. There is one larger spot on the left side of my back that started itching after the rest stopped. I've never had anything like this and am wondering what it might be. Thank you.

Call your doctor or go to an urgent care facility ASAP and get some orders for prescription medication for the itching (and rash if you have one). The over the counters are not strong enough.
If you want to show them my list, that might help. Most doctors have no idea how horrible these rashes are and how horrible they can itch and they tend to under-prescibe the meds, give way too little and way too low doses. That actually happened to me.
Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!

Maintain scrupulous hygeine - boil your tights or replace! - and both the rash and the itch disappears. . Steroid creams have not touched the problem, or antibiotics - just old fashioned disinfectant did it in a week. One thousand sleepless nights are in the past. What does the doctor think?

my itching was insane!!!!!!!!!!!! i developed rash on lower leg, upper arms and doc sent me to dermatologist. doctor give me script for atarax and that helps me to this day. also don't use hot water in shower or bath, and i used to shower everyday, but do every other day if i can get away with it. make sure you put lotion on such as aveeno, eucerin, cetaphil, i also use natural soap. all of this info was given to me by the people in this forum, and i am so thankful for these people.
I recently started using a new body wash, and after a couple of days 4-5 uses, I started to develop a rash all over my body which is accompanied by extreme itching. I've since stopped using the body wash and switched back to soap. I've also started using benadryll to relieve the itching. It's been a few days but the rash hasn't started to go away yet. How long does it usually take for the skin to clear up, and are there any other treatments for it?
They are flat and not tender to the touch. Nothing is itchy or painful. They come and go in redness, but have lingered for over a month now. When the redness goes, my skin becomes dry and peels off. There is no discharge and I have yet to find any pictures or publications that look simlar to or describe what I have.
You could apply calamine lotion and take some oral antihistamine medications for the itching. Wear lose clothes. This should help with your symptoms till you get to see your doctor.

It is kind of periodical and sporadic and the itching sometimes disappears for few days, and than returns again. From time to time the bumps appear on different parts of my body: my back, my shoulders, my butt, my arms, my thighs, around my knees, around my ankles...

The next morning the rash was on my right thigh and calf. Next day, appeared on the left thigh and buttocks. For 6-7 days new body areas became covered in an intolerably itchy rash Over the counter antihistamine helped with the itch. The other thing that helped was scratching spots until I had a small amount of blood -- just a drop or two, and just two or three scratched spots per area (i.e., two or three small spots on my left thigh helped out the whole thigh.
