Antihistamine cream for eyes

Common Questions and Answers about Antihistamine cream for eyes

antihistamine

Avatar n tn t use it long term without asking a doctor, though, because too much steroid cream can thin the skin, and they eyes already have thin skin. As for lotion, don't use it. Lotion has alcohol in it so it will dry fast, and can dry you out more. After a shower, while the area is still wet, take a little vaseline or cocoa butter and rub it in. This seals the moisture in--if you do it on dry skin, you'll have greasy dry skin.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar n tn What is the best antihistamine for allergic eyes? I am experiencing worse eye allergy than sinus allergy this Spring, and I think it is due to tree pollen in this area of Texas. I have found chlorphenaramine maleate and benadryl do not help.
Avatar n tn Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine (reduces inflammation, helps with drippy nose and eyes from allergies, etc) Coricidin is an over the counter OTC drug. The DSM-IV is system for measuring the risk of substance abuse or for assessing mental disorders. You may be thinking of classification of narcotics? or pregnancy drug classification? OTC drugs are not classified.
Avatar f tn Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.
Avatar f tn They showed up overnight on my face and neck and have now spread to my chest and ears. My face has also swelled up (my eyes are puffy and I now have a double chin which I didn't have before). I did some searching on google but all I could really find on what it might be was something called 'Silia' which are tiny goosebump-looking cysts caused by under exfoliating, heavy moisturizers, and/or under cleansing.
Avatar f tn And it`s only getting bigger. Whats happening? What should i do? And the cream that my mom put on it makes it 2 times bigger.
535882 tn?1396576685 , taking an antihistamine, plus eye drops. allergy, eye drops, plus doing saline nose rinse. ice pack, eyes also itch a little. any suggestion?
Avatar f tn I was told it was pupps and was given a prescription for an antihistamine and some cream. The cream burns when I apply it and the antihistamine I am uncomfortable taking as it says not to take the in the 3rd trimester on the information. But without it I get so itchy what do I do?
Avatar f tn Will say that two weeks ago had actual hives around eyes and think it was caused from eye cream. Any ideas as to what is going on? Today, had to leave work. Eyes burned and itched and lids swelled. I know that I had just put contact eye drops in. Other times can just wake up with them or have them appear at any time.
Avatar f tn I want to avoid having to obtain prescriptions if I can (I have to wait ages for an appointment and the clinic is always so busy I end up waiting hours for a 5 minute timeslot). I wondered if there was a good alternative for Betnovate that can be bought over the counter?
Avatar m tn u may have the problem of dry eyes, use sm lubricant for ur eyes like carboxymethlyl+sod. if the problem persist, acco. to u,that u hav itching on inner side corners for that u may have the need of syringing.then u have to consult with sm othalmologist.
Avatar f tn If your dry eyes is due to the use of antihistimines it will go away if you stop these medicatios. However for most people, especially menopausal or post menopausal women it is permanent.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
Avatar n tn Hi forum members, Since few weeks I am noticing that I am having some sort of white discharge from my eyes (both) and some time times it is not only irritating but also has some burning feeling. It also leads to headaches often. I had shown it to one doctor who thought it was some sort of allergy, but this is lasting too long. Can any one advice please?
Avatar m tn s been four days since it was last used and my pain is getting worse and worse as time goes on! Yesterday I woke up with puffy eyes, all over redness, bumps, dryness, pain, and so much itchiness. Today, on top of these symptoms, I have a red bumpy rash on my cheeks and, oddly enough, under my chin where product was not even used. Is this normal for symptoms to progress so long after stopping? I'm traveling and away from home otherwise I'd try to get into a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn Yesterday, I asked: Can antihihistamine Eye Drops, enter your system through your eyes? While the question seems somewhat idiotic, I am highly allergic to antihistamines. They knock me out for extended periods of time, by making me lethargic, and extremely drowsy and sluggish. I used an antihistamine eye drop yesterday, and, shortly, had all the above symptoms. My question is simply, can one's system absorb antihistamines through the use of antihistamine eye drops?
Avatar f tn She now also has reddness around her eyes which she says it painful (it looks like dry, taut skin). I thought at first it was an allergic reaction to something (we tried avoiding milk and sugar, that didn't seem to matter). At this point, I'm at a loss ~ the rash on her face looks almost like perioral dermatitis, but the rash on her arm does not. Does anyone have any ideas I can check into? Thanks in advance for your help.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your post...is scrubbing the peeling around the eyes a good idea or should i just let it peel?
Avatar n tn Hi I've been to my GP four times now and am still awaiting a cure!! At first i found an itchy patch under my arm and thought nothing of it till the next day, it had developed into rashes and had spread to my neck and shoulder. When i went to see my GP, he had to ask for a second opinion as he though they were some kind of bites but the send GP had put it down to Shaving infections, even though i had stressed that i only use tweezers, he insisted that they were the same thing!!!
