Ambien and buspar

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien and buspar

ambien

Avatar f tn Drop the buspar, it doesn't do anything. Why trazodone and ambien? And Celexa usually causes weight gain.
Avatar f tn One is that we do more unbalancing up stairs in our Brain wiring and there is a lot to this. Try to re-direct yourself and DO NOT watch the clock..The detox will go bye like a turtle at first it seems, and then time will just go flying bye. Make sure you are drinking LOTS of fluids..You can take some vit/min and some vit/min will help with sleep like Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium and Ds at night..These help calm your muscles down. Go out and buy the box that says Electro-Mix on it..
1198664 tn?1368647812 No problem switching because I rarely take the Ativan anyway and have been out of ambien for months. But the more I read about buspar it seems pretty good! Once a day pill, supposedly non addictive and had anti depressant quality and works on serotonin receptors and some other happy areas of the brain. And it is used to reduce stress anxiety, SWEATING, heart racing and all kinds of stuff that seems to go along with withdrawls.
5764859 tn?1400881756 fed up and want to strangle the fish and kick the dog and sleeeeeeeeepy. We were on a holiday and the rest of the people around me were "normal" and frustrated with me being so sleepy and holding them back! Just remember: you have options in life, but giving up is not an option.
Avatar f tn My nervousness ended immediately, though I had a mild headache from even one-half cup withdrawal of coffee. This morning I took Buspar and did not have any coffee, and Buspar worked much better for me. I still need the coffee, due to other medication, but I don't think that Buspar and coffee at the same time is the way to go.
Avatar f tn I am taking 60 mg Paxil at night, 15 mg of Buspar 3 times a day, a thyroid pill, Neurontin for back pain, and have tried Trazodone, Remeron, Seroquel, Cymbalta, all of em for slsep. Nada. I can't fall asleep at all but I really, really have to be waken up in almost an ice cold pool of water to wake up.
Avatar n tn I take klonopin, also, plus zoloft and vistiril, ultram for pain, and sertraline for sleep, ambien as needed (i havent need to take the ambien yet). You may want to talk to your doctor about possibly raising your dose of klonopin and/or adding vistiril, as doing so might ease your nervousness.
Avatar f tn This is a new symptom, and disturbing, because Buspar does seem to help anxiety for me; I even felt it was going to be a miracle drug. But I can't have anger coming out of the blue. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
467977 tn?1262714747 Do you recommend taking the Paxil at the same time as Buspar, and then another Buspar (as needed) later in the day? Or just Paxil in the morning, one Buspar in the afternoon, and one later on (I know this is according to each person, I am just curious). AND, will the Buspar actually combat the anxious feelings? Not the panic attack feelings (Paxil works for me on that), I just need to get rid of this leftover anxiety!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar m tn 5mg Alprazolam 2 x a day along with Buspar 15 mg 2 a day the buspar does not help I want to get off Benzos but it is difficult, Sleeping is hard and have been up for 5 days and feeling miserble. My New Dr. cannot understand my agony and my old Dr. never told me all the info about Alprazolam, if I had known I would never have taken it. Is there something I can take to help wean off this? Ambien is too expensive. I want to be normal again. Right now I cannot afford to go to the Dr.
459279 tn?1206997145 I am on buspar and zoloft. I started Buspar first and I actually lost about 10 pounds after starting it. I think it depends on the person. I have heard many people say that Buspar makes them lose weight.
Avatar m tn My shrink prescribed me Buspar about 10 years ago and it worked, is non addictive and helped with my anxiety, but I not longer take it for about 3 or 4 years. I'll ask him , I'm a little concerned with the withdrawal using a long term life like Valium, I know it works, according to Dr. Ashton, but I am worried it will become addicted to it. Thanks for the input to all of you.
Avatar n tn I have been on Buspar since April and I have actually cut down on smoking and lost about 10 pounds. I have been taking walks and doing yoga. That helps.
431073 tn?1222177026 I have been taking buspar (5mg 2x a day) for almost 2 weeks now and I seem to be having some side effects. I have been feeling tired (due to trouble sleeping) and having headaches as well. I am also having trouble sleeping. I know that it could take a while for this med to kick in but I am still worried about the side effects. Has anyone ever taken this med and is there any advice you can give me?
Avatar n tn If you ever stop the Buspar, you might try passionflower as well. A good all around nervous system relaxant. Holy basil can help with cortisol levels, and adaptogens can help with the adrenals. Lots of stuff to try out there. Good luck.
608208 tn?1220398134 I know for me when I was on BuSpar my heart rate declined and so did my blood pressure and has stayed on the low end of the spectrum since getting off of it last year. Call your doctor just to be safe and good luck!
Avatar f tn My doctor increased my dose a few months ago (I take 15 mg twice a day) and I feel like sometimes my heart palpitates and night. The palpitations are waking me up some nights. My BP also seems to be spiking on and off the last couple months. I'm wondering if it related to the Buspirone or something else? I also started taking the generic BP medication (Nebivolol) of Bystolic, because my insurance didn't want to cover the name brand last time I filled it.
429700 tn?1308007823 I too am on Propanolol. Alongside this I am also on Buspar. I haven't had any side effects at all such as weight gain and it doesn't make me feel like i am on drugs such as lexapro and xanax did. Have you tried buspar before?
Avatar f tn Does anyone take buspar with doxepin? My doctor prescribed me both and so far i have only taken the buspar. I have read taking both could cause serotonin syndrome and scared to take the doxepin. I take 15mg x 3 daily of buspar and was given 50 mg of doxepin to take at bedtime.
Avatar m tn Hi, My name is Lynn and this is my first post here. I've been in the throws of a bad bout of anxiety/depression for the past month or so. I had this 7 years ago and antidepressants got rid of it. But now it has returned with a vengeance. I wake up early in the morning full of panic and nausea and vomiting. I'm unable to eat and have lost 15 lbs in just a few weeks. I actually quit my job 2 weeks ago and am now reeling from the shock of "what the heck did I do?
Avatar f tn I'd say, given the lack of successful clinical trials with Buspar, it probably won't help much anyway, though some do find some benefit, but it doesn't seem worth the pain given it's lack of success generally. If it's just one week it's doubtful you'd even need to taper off, and since it usually doesn't work, drugs that don't work are usually easy to stop taking.
142722 tn?1281533616 I was just wondering if any one had any experience with Buspar and wanted to know if it worked for them. Buspar is a Class B med which is very safe during pergnancy. I was just wondering if any one had anxiety with one of these meds. Just wondering that's all.
872115 tn?1242182670 So my doc, gave me this Buspar, does any one know about it, I really did not want benzo type meds, and I guess buspar takes a couple of weeks to start working, but then I read, about you should only take buspar for a few months.
Avatar m tn She is the only one who can tell you what is right for you and what is safe for your baby. She would not have put you on BuSpar if she did not know it was safe. You need to relax and trust her 100%. BuSpar is a very well known mild anti-anxiety medication. It can be given to children as young as 5 y/o. All psychotropic drugs affect everyone differently, which means, basically, that you will just have to try it and see how it works for you.
543959 tn?1301315419 t start until he stated Buspar and Prozac for depression, on top of taking Tegretol. Stopped Buspar and Prozac after a month and high bp lasted for almost 4 weeks.
Avatar n tn Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.
Avatar m tn m taking low dose of ativan which works but need to switch to something less addictive. Tried zoloft made me sick and desperate. Has anyone tried buspar and what did you think?
1325193 tn?1450127436 Doctor and pharmacist said it wouldn't be the Buspar so it's probably some withdrawals from your narcotics. You're doing great, hang in there, totally normal.
