Avatar f tn I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke (on top of my normal nasal allergies) which often results in sinus issues, asthma attacks, and migraines. For the past week I have been smelling cigarette (and something else, maybe incense, but I can't place it) smoke in my apartment. From the hours of 2pm-2amish I am unable to relax and enjoy my living room due to the stench. Last night I watched an hour of TV while periodically spritzing Febreeze - not that it does much good.
Avatar f tn Hi, I recently moved from south Georgia out to Shreveport, LA. I've never had any kind of allergies other than maybe a sneeze here and there from Ragweed or whatever. But since moving out here, I'm experiencing something terribly irritating with my eyes and a slight runny nose. I work in a restaurant, not a very clean restaurant, mind you. My eyes really bother me at work. They run, get some kind of 'glaze' over them, makes it hard to work really.
Avatar f tn Oke so my fiance and i have been doing fairly well with me going into my hormonal stages but for the last few days he has been "falling asleep" in the living room in his chair. which isn't very comfy. Tonight we got into it and he said he is going in there to "think." Then he passed out. Is something really that bad to cause him to not want to be around me? What do i do??
Avatar f tn Really loud and mucus-fulled snoring, pauses in breathing due to build up of mucus between nose and throat. During the day difficulty breathing through her nose so a lot of mouth breathing and wheezing due to mucus. Pediatrician has been treating with nasal spray (for minor nasal tissue swelling), nebulizer with albuterol, and most recently claritin. She had allergy test which revealed allergies to milk, peanuts, soy, wheat, corn, eggs. but no environmental triggers.
Avatar n tn m in my apartment its the worst thats why i was thinking it might be an allergy or some mold in the ac vents or something like that. I ordered a test kit to test for mold, yeast, and such in the AC vents the test can take 3 days to show but its been 2 days and its not showing any signs of mold bacteria or yeast.
1407713 tn?1290933275 I have allergies to dust, pet dander, mold, and a bunch of other things. Right now I am suffering at night I either have a cold or I am having an allergy attack. I am seeing a pulmonary doc but, I am between apointments and I have no idea what to do about the symptoms I am having. I have a runny nose and sinus pressure. I am nervous because last time I had these symptoms I ended up in the ER with an asthma attack. This time I would like to try and prevent this from happening.
Avatar f tn ve gotten my air vents cleaned today to see if that will help for allergies and I picked up Zyrtec to try that as well..... Any suggestions on what it could be or should I just suck it up and go back to the clinic???!!!!
1448936 tn?1363206346 I had to work this morning and I felt a little funky because I took benadryl before bed for my allergies and didn't get enough sleep. Or I thought that was the problem. I was dizzy, lightheaded, off balance, and felt weird like the floor was moving even though it wasn't. Then I started getting really hot and clammy. Especially my face but my finger and toes were ice cold. I ended up taking a xanax and within 20 min the symptoms left almost entirely.
Avatar f tn So she urinated in the vents and on the floor so she didnt wet her pants. Have you taken him to the Doctor to check to see if he had any kidney problems?
Avatar f tn I, too, find that my asthma gets worse with changes in weather. I'm not exactly sure of the scientific reason for it, but I believe it's because of a combination of barometric pressure changes, as well as changes in temperature/humidity levels. Of course, too, as seasons change, so does the allergy seasons - while the outdoor allergies may be less in the winter time, the inside "household" allergies may kick up more, causing trouble with your asthma.
796506 tn?1370188305 I have a new complaint! SO our condo has been turned in to Section 8 Housing in the last month! I have been all over the place looking for houses to rent and we need to find one available on the first of MAY. I am excited to be moving (I hate this condo and have since we moved in) but it is hard since we only had 2 weeks notice to move and hadn't really saved up a ton of money but I think I found a house that might be perfect that is owned locally.
1019512 tn?1251409806 It could be in your work place (think duct vents or water cooler, coffee pot, community refrig, under carpet, behind walls), in your car vents, in your bedroom or all over your house. It could even just be if you live in a damp climate and there is rotting vegetation. Everyone reacts differently to mold. If you have allergies, depending on how severe, you could have horrible reactions. Start looking around your environment and check for mold.
Avatar f tn I have suffered from excess mucus which lodges in my throat for about 3+ years now. It causes me fatigue, and it interferes with daily life, e.g. coughing up mucus all day into sink, tissues, etc. It has not let up, except for about 2 days. I have gone to approximately six doctors and no one has determined the cause nor does anyone have any ideas. I have had a car load of tests run, e.g.
Avatar n tn make sure that you don't have the air vents covered with your mouth. My pulmicort turbohaler only has one click so maybe you should ask your doctor or pharmaticist to double check your inhaler. Welcome to the asthma community and feel free to ask any other questions!
Avatar m tn why do i cough up blood? my dr. has tried to explain it to me, something about air ways, air vents, etc. i do this the majority of the time maybe 2 days in between doing so. sometimes it's bright red and then sometimes a darker pink. i have 50% breathing capacity and am on oxygen. it's real scary even though i've been told not to worry about it. i take advair and spiriva and don't cough up that much but when i do and it is very little.
Avatar n tn s been using the bathroom in our two bathtubs and using it on the vents. I noticed today when he urinated in the bathtub there was little blood in it. I know I need to take him to the ver but this is 4th of July weekend and nothing is open, and I can't afford emergency vet. Is there anything I can buy out there that will help my cat at least over the weekend?
203342 tn?1328737207 The reason I'm asking this is my allergies have been just wild the last few weeks, and it seems to be when I'm in the house. I'm sneezing, congested, itchy, etc., When I'm out I don't notice it as much but as soon as I'm back home it seems to come right on me. So, there's something in the house, something new I'm assuming, that I'm reacting to. The only thing new I can think of is my son's new cat he brought back home with him.
Avatar f tn s on my bed, shower (or at least rinse off) at night, drink caffeine in the morning (proven to help short term with asthma symptoms), put cheese cloth on all of my vents in my house, get rid of some of my pets that are not asthmatic friendly, etc. Now it is in control! But my cleaning regime is insane! I have to dust at least once a week with a wet cloth, vacume at least twice a week, take out the trash every other day, and NO PERFUME in my house. I hope this helps.
676912 tn?1332812551 Sorry TMI, but I keep getting gas/constipation cramps, I just went today for the first time in two days...and before that I had diarrhea...I hope I get a little more regular and reach a happy medium soon...lol. It's been no going or diarrhea...ugh.
Avatar f tn If you need to vent then vent hun everyone vents
Avatar f tn I started working at a window manufacturing warehouse about 5-6 months ago. I am responsible for counting broken glass that has been thrown into a bin. The bins accumulate dust from broken glass and sometimes I breathe it in. Obviously, this is unhealthy. So, I'm concerned about the effects it has done to my lungs and if it's reversible. Thanks for any feedback!
