I looked it up and found that thrush could've been caused by the antibiotic, but of course I first read that it was also possible that this was also one of the symptoms during initial exposure to HIV (including link below).

The bump beside my anus - a perianal abscess started growing about 10 days later, burst as an abscess to the surface and has been bleeding since. I have had night sweats, some really soaking on and off for the, loss of appetite, fatigue and fever and non itchy pimples appearing scattered over my back.
As can be imagined I am very worried. Testing is the only way to solve this.

Has anyone experiecned this issue. It is sometimes called a subareola abscess. This is a chronic condition- I have had 3 surgeries to removed the abscess because of the pain associated with it. It is back again and my last surgery was in November. I quit smoking because that is what my one doctor to me the was the ONLY cause and that is I quit smoking it will stop them from returning 100% of the time.
Although the antibiotics may kill the bacteria that is causing the abscess, if the core of the abscess does not come to the surface or is not removed by the doctor or the nurse, the abscess will continue to fester.
Apply a hot compress to draw the abscess to the surface. If there is no broken skin on the abscess, you can purchase magnesium sulphate from the pharmacy and apply this to the abscess. This is a drawing ointment and can only be used on unbroken skin.
While I was on interferon therapy and my resistance was low, I developed an abscess on my buttock that was drained and healed. For several months now I have had pain that feels deeper in the tissue, possibly in the ischeum. It has never come to a point and there is no drainage that I can detect. My 9 month old cat recently had an abscess that burst on his side. I took him to the vet two days ago and he was put on amoxicillin. I don't no wot causes it but my I'm in pain. Hi i started with really bad tooth pain and went to the emergency dentist who said its infected and got an abscess. They give me amoxicillin 500mg i started them yesterday teatime then last night my face started to swell up on the right side where the bad tooth is never had this before. In Nov 2008, I had a swelling below my right breast which was diagnosed as "Abscess". It would ooze out puss with blood and was very painful. Dear Guys, I developed abscess three times with in two weeks interval in my groin area.....the last two were big and required surgery with full ansthesia. My doc therefore suggested to escape the shot at least for one week so i did not take the shot last week. I continued to take it again but I developed another abscess on the preannal position. I am afraid it will force me to discontinue the therapy. Has any one exprienced such problem during therapy?
