Avatar n tn Some of your symptoms like tightening around the neck, ear, and gum pressure could have been due to dental abscess. However it is very unlikely that tingling numbness in the feet is due to dental abscess. I would suggest you to get your blood sugar levels checked to rule out diabetes. Nerve compression and peripheral vascular disease also cannot be ruled out. Please discuss these possibilities with your treating doctor. Take care!

405614 tn?1329144114 I am sorry you are need of so much dental work. I also have had lots of dental work done, and so far, knock on wood, it didnt set off any TN for me. That being said, I also had troubles with Root canals giving me lots of pain post-op. I think I didnt go to the right person for one of them. If it were me, I would wait until I got back from my FUN trip and enjoy without any additional mouth troubles. Not that anything would happen, but ya never know.

Avatar f tn ve never had pain like this from dental work. Tylenol and advil have been helping manage the pain, right now I only feel slight pain/pressure, but when the meds wear off it's so painful that it wakes me up at night and I can't focus on anything/want to cry. The pain/pressure has been seeming to spread slightly also, at first it was closer to the teeth that were worked on, then the jaw, then my cheekbone and nose and temple area.
1399266 tn?1280637104 My 8 year old cat, Kupid was diagnosed with a dental abscess about a week ago and put on clindamycin 1 ml twice a day. When she started she had a pink drainage coming from her right eye and right nostril. Her eye has gotten better and her nose has slightly improved. She is still sneezing and looks terrible but she is eating on her own. This cat has failed the pre anesthesia test twice after having complications during her spay surgery so we are reluctant to put her under to pull her tooth.

Avatar n tn A tooth abscess is a pocket of pus that's caused by a bacterial infection. The abscess can occur at different regions of the tooth for different reasons. A periapical (per-e-AP-ih-kul) abscess occurs at the tip of the root, whereas a periodontal (per-e-o-DON-tul) abscess occurs in the gums next to a tooth root. The information here refers specifically to periapical abscesses.

Avatar n tn I went to the dentist 4 yrs ago and i needed a rootcanal back then. The cost is ridiculous. All my dental work was over $5,000. I can imagine how much it is now 4 yrs later. I don't have any medical insurance and can't even get approved for the monthly payment plan.. I have had this for almost a year now. I also have suffered in many areas for about 8 months now such as going from 9 or more hours of solid sleep with dreams and all to 3 months ago when it haulted..
Avatar f tn I went to the hospital since my dentist is not available on weekends and I found out I have a dental abscess. I am in a lot of pain and I have been taking amoxicillin and tyenol. Is amoxicillin safe? I know the doctor wouldn't prescribe it if it wasn't but I still feel paranoid. And how much tyenol can you take in a day, I'm taking regular strength.

Chin up, this too shall pass! I hope this helps a little. Get well soon!

Avatar m tn Two injections were administered for the Anaesthetic. I have had a fair amount of dental work in the past but I noticed that the pain after was far greater than before. I took ibruprofen for a full 7 days after. The pain seemed to subside. A few weeks later and now I have a large sore lump at the site of the injections. I am concerned as to what it could be.
