Zyvox food restrictions

Common Questions and Answers about Zyvox food restrictions

zyvox

Avatar f tn I picked up VRE while in the hospital which was treated with 14 days of IV Zyvox. The VRE came back, in my urine, and I was hospitalized again last week and put back on Zyvox (oral this time). I am also on IV clindamycin and azithromycin, and a long list of other medications. While in the hospital they did daily blood work, of course, and my results have gotten progressively worse. They told me to follow up with my pcp, but my pcp is pretty much useless.
Avatar f tn We were at our local Childrens hospital last night to have a very large one drained. She was on Zyvox during Thanksgiving and we were free of abscesses for 3 weeks. That is the longest she has gone without having one. We have seen an Infectious Disease doctor that doesn't offer us much hope in getting these to go away.
Avatar n tn Does anyone else hoard food? It's odd- I often feel compelled to buy things (always sweets) or bring them with me to work, but I rarely eat them. Just thinking about the fact that I have the option to eat them during the day gives me a feeling of relief. I don't binge; I don't purge; I do watch what I eat, but I eat about 1700-1800 calories per day.
7892775 tn?1395673991 He has had a tube in his stomach more than 6 months now because he was unable to swallow anything due to his treatment for throat cancer and the muscles are just starting to work enough for him to swallow fluids and I told him not so much tea and soda to drink some water milk and Gatorade but his old self is stubborn. And he has no real food in his belly just the liquid food he eats through tube which is probably why his heartburn is so bad.
468836 tn?1215476116 We do have a food tracker and an allergy tracker on our list of trackers to add. We're not sure when these will be available, but we'll let you know when it is. Thanks for the suggestion!
Avatar f tn t put in my initial post. You should listen to your doctor first and foremost. If there are no food restrictions, then the answer remains the same. Enjoy the burger.
Avatar f tn We are happy to announce that a Food Diary is available for you to use. This tracker will be very beneficial for those users who have dietary restrictions due to medical conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol, and will also be useful for those who are simply trying to watch what they eat. In addition to providing a calorie counter, the Food Diary will also allow users to track their intake of carbohydrates, fats, protein, sugar, vitamins, minerals, and supplements.
Avatar f tn JUST HAD AN IDEA. HOW ABOUT A FOOD JOURNAL. IT'S HAS BEEN ON ALOT OF NEWS COVERAGE. IT SEEMS PEOPLE LOOSE MORE WHEN THEY CAN KEEP TRACK OF WHAT THERE IN TAKE IS.
776302 tn?1241091853 A food tracker would be a good tool. List the foods we eat and the tracker can list the calories, fat calories, starch content, and protein amount of each food we list. That would be an enormous help to losing weight. Please let me know when it's up and working.
Avatar f tn Saying how food, relates to energy, mood, and concentration would be extremely useful.
Avatar f tn My prescription is for 25 mcg every twelve hours and my doctor said to take it on an empty stomach (4 hours w/o food), no solids for the first hour after taking it, and no calcium or citrus for four hours afterwards. AHHH! How do I do this? I can deal with no milk in my morning coffee, but what about dinner? Any advice or help? I think that this is just until my RAI in a month or so. THANKS!
Avatar f tn his symptoms returned immediately when the antibiotics were finished. This resulted in 2 debridement surgeries where all the hardware was removed. He was on 6 weeks of IV Vanco and Rifampin which seem to end the infection. 6 weeks ago the went back in to redo the spinal fusion as his scoliosis was still severe and he had become very kyphotic well into his lumbar spine.
Avatar n tn NO, there is no food restriction. You can eat as usual. In special cases there are food restrictions and generally the person who does the bookings informs you in advance. In usual cases there is no restrictions. Hope this helps. Take care!
573297 tn?1304709140 No, unfortunately there isn't currently a food tracker. Several other members have also requested a food tracker and we do have it on our list of to-do's. We'll let you know when it's available.
Avatar n tn s and one surgery for a port ( my veins were shot) as well as a round of Zyvox pills ($82.00 a pill or $1600.00), I still tested positive. As luck and God would have it, I had been taking amoxicillian before all this happened so I thought "why not finish it, nothing else has worked". I knew when I took the amox, I had started to feel better. I talked my local PA into putting me on 8 weeks of it and low and behold, I have tested negative 2x.

Avatar n tn How about a tracker for daily food intake for those of us who track foods for diabetic and other health issues? Breakfast-Snack-Lunch-Snack-Dinner-bedtime snack.
4624236 tn?1357891407 Lasagna, spaghetti, pizza are all filling wintertime comfort foods. Mexican food was a fave of mine when I was pregnant, not Mexican fast food but from a great restaurant near us. Meatloaf. Tuna casserole. Baked chicken.
Avatar n tn I have been having a hard time keeping an organized food diary to try to determine food allergies and intolerances and such. I think a food tracker would be very beneficial, not only for those who are trying to monitor food reactions, but also to manage their weight and keep a log of what they are eating every day.
