zyrtec and sudafed pe

I get sinus infections every time I have to take it for more than 5-6 days in a row for unknown reasons. Try actual Sudafed (the kind you have to sign for through the pharmacy) not the PE crap on the shelf. There is no better allergy medication than that. Hands down!

if you are sneezing and stuffy, take sudafed, it has to be the regular staight sudafed, it can not be sudafed PE, my RE and ob gyn told me the sudafed PE decreases blood supply to the uterus, but straight sudafed is perfectly fine. I dont know about other states but in new york you actually have to go to the pharmacist to get the sudafed, as people were abusing it to make meth, so they have to take your drivers license info down..

Sudafed is ok during pregnancy just no extra strength or sudafed PE, saline nasal spray is fine and vicks

I'm currently 36 weeks. I would be feeling pretty good and was up until about three days ago. The pollen in the air is making me so sick! I am so plugged up that breathing is incredibly difficult on top of having this belly. The pregnancy alone or the allergies alone would be fine, but together I just want to quit my job and lady in bed crying all day. I've been taking zyrtec, benadryl at night. I've even tried sudafed pe.

Ya ibwas stuffy and stuff than my bf got sick and I have a cold like he did a d the list said sudafed was fine but I grabed sudafed pe and I wasnt sure if it was okay I only took one anx I have a drs app tomorrow so im gunna reassure but I wanted to see what other oregnant women think

I have had fluid behind my eardrum since September 2010. My physician looked and saw fluid behind my eardrum and said it's caused from allergies or sinuses. I do have allergies and postnasal drainage. I was prescribed Flonase for 30 days, which didn't work, then prescribed a 7 day steroid medication, this didn't help either. I have tried Allegra D, Mucinex D, Mucinex, Sudafed, Sudafed PE, Afrin, etc. I am currently trying Zyrtec.

I called and asked and she just said to also take phenlyeprine (sudaphed PE) and guaifenesin (Mucinex). These help quite a bit, but they make me jittery and queasy, I have to pee really often, and I'm still sleepy from the other stuff, and I still have some congestion and sore throat. So what do I do now? Did I just get really horrible genetics and there's nothing I can do?

He also told me I could take Sudafed, BUT if you do, make sure you specifically look for just plain old Sudafed (not Sudafed PE or any of the other ones)... and if your pharmacy is like mine, you won't find the regular Sudafed on the shelves anymore...

My doctor says Sudafed and Sudafed PE are both safe but neither should be used over 10 days in a row. Personally i feel if you're still having symptoms that long you should be going the doc anyhow to get antibiotics.

One of them is Sudafed. I am now 20 weeks and have taken Sudafed PE only four times ( not in a row) Im getting mixed reviews that PE may or may not be harmful? Please help.

I am about 10 weeks in and I have had pregnancy rhinitis for about two weeks and I've tried everything to cope with this. It's so bad that sometimes I can barely breathe even through my mouth and I panic, and I'm not a panicker. I used Afrin twice and Sudafed once (both barely worked but at least they were a little bit of a help) out of desperation and then I was horrified that I had done that and now I'm worried that I may have done something bad.

I have had a sinus infection for 2 weeks and have taken 1 box of Tylenol cold and sinus, 2 days of Sudafed PE and now have started Claritin all suggested by the Dr. (How can all these meds be okay for the baby?) She refuses to give me an antibiotic stating Dr's will no longer give antibiotic for a sinus infection because it is viral. I have terrible headaches, face pain, and low grade temps, cannot sleep or seem to get real relief. I have used a Netti Pot, Vicks, Steam etc...

Robitussin PE! it has to be PE!!! my Dr. Said, i had some of the same symptoms, and i thought i had mono, or a sinus infections, but i think that it was just a cold or something.

t help, I talked to the doctor, they told me to take mucinex and sudafed. Took those and still stuffed. Took antibiotics thinking it was an infection and I received no results. I am 5 weeks pregnant since yesterday and wondering if it has anything to do with the pregnancy. Has anyone experienced this, if so, what did you do that helped?

Try taking plain Sudafed. (not the PE stuff) I had horrible sinus headaches from 16-20 weeks and it was the only thing that helped me.

My doctor told me to take sudafed original NOT sudafed pe and it helped me

Depending on how far along you are you can take benedryl, my dr says 20 weeks. (Every dr is a little different) Your OB should at least be able to okay you maybe taking an alergy med like Alavert, call and ask. There is no reason they can't just say 'yes' or 'no' and yiur General isn't an expert in pregnancy so he won't know what's safe.
