Have you tried zofran instead of what your taking because i only get when the baby does'nt like something?
Im gonna bimp this bcause i dont know what you can take otc but Nothing worked for me.. my dr put me on zofran which made me throw up too.. i got thru it with unsalted pretzels, ice and watermelon.. i hope u feel better because that was the absolute worst part of pregnancy!Good luck!
I'm a FTM and have been diagnosed with Hypermesis. My nausea and vomiting started at 6 weeks and has yet to end and I'm 35 weeks today. Although I've lost 32 pounds and have been on IV's my entire pregnancy for nutrition/electrolytes, Zofran and Reglan have saved my life when it came to decreasing the vomiting and nausea!!! The pill didn't work so I have Zofran pump that pumps the medication into my stomach 24 hours a day.
I think it is worth it. What have you tried so far? Many people with mild nausea get a lot of help from ginger (tea, candied, or capsules), and keeping your fluid intake very high is helpful too. If the nausea is severe those measures probably won't do it and you should try prescription meds. Most of us have had very good results from Zofran, though there are occasional people who get nothing but a headache from it. For me, Zofran is nothing short of a miracle.
Any other mommys been prescribed promethazine for nausea/vomiting?
I took the same meds/zofran until about a week ago (17weeks) and it helped a bunch. I found taking it just once a day was plenty to get me thru most days at work and after that I just dealt with it on my own at home.

Yes I take that and prometizing when its bad . Im 4 months now I didn't take any medication to see if my nausea was better but no I was back to throwing everything back up the next day. They told me u hace Hyperemesis.
I took a couple things for my morning sickness, it was just so bad. I can't remember but everything I took made me sicker. If it was prescribed by your ob they are confident that it's safe. You can try it or just deal with your morning sickness the old fashioned way, which ia what I ended up doing.
Could any of your current medication be causing nausea? I know some of my medication can cause nausea-related side effects. Just something to keep in mind.
I'm sorry the Zofran hasn't been helpful. Perhaps another doctor will have a different opinion on how to treat your nausea symptoms? I hope you feel better soon!
I'm 10 weeks prego and got morning sickness or should I say all day sickness lol. My mid wife had to put me on nausea medication and I chose to take reglan. It doesn't take the nausea all the way away but it helps you cope and not be at the toilet throwing up . the only bad thing is that you get drowsy but there no proof of birth defects.
Try sprite. When my morning sickness was really bad the only thing I could drink was sprite. I've heard to let in flatten though because the carbonation could upset your stomach. I was on zofran but my Dr had to switch my medication because it wasn't working well. Ask if you can get something else.
Hello! I am 34 years old for the past 2 years I have been getting nausea with constant headache for 6 days before my period. It's to the point where I'm on zofran and have maxalt for headache. I can't leave my house because I feel like I'm going to vomit but I don't. I guess that's a good thing, lol zofran works. Once I get my period it goes away! Anyone experience this or have any feedback thank you!!!
I am 25 weeks along with my 5th. I have been sick from day 1 nausea vomiting the works. I also suffer from severe headaches due to intracranial hypertension. Well I stopped taking my medication for the IIH because there was no telling if it would cause birth defects. I also held out on taking meds for the nausea until about 3 weeks ago. I had the rx for Zofran but wasn't taking them, I took the meds for about 5 days out of the 3 weeks.
