zofran is safe :). there are 2 nausea medicines that are considered safe for pregnancy, and zofran sounds like the better choice for you (since phenergan makes you sleepy, and that's the other option, i think it would freak you out!). every medicine is going to carry warnings, and there will be people who SWEAR that this medicine caused this or that...but that's the internet for you. it is considered safe, and your OB only prescribed it because they felt it was safe....
m 7 weeks pregnant and I went to the Dr last week and my Dr prescribed Zofran. The problem is everytime I take this medicine, I see the commercial on TV that talks about Zofran causing some birth defects. Is anyone else taking this medicine or have heard these birth defects. Thanks!
I'm experiencing extreme nausea am vomiting... I am 7 weeks...my doctor prescribed me zofran...I am scared to take it because I've seen a commercial about it..I took half a tab today. And I threw that up.

How many mommies here had to take zofran? Is it really safe I am taking it now to help me on my sickness but worries still in my mind. Share your thought about this med.
Has anyone else taken zofran while preg? I read that it was bad for baby one some sites and is a miracle drug on others. I'm just concerned and would never want to take anything that could harm my baby.
I heard the same thing about Zofran they even have a law suit going on about it I hope all u ladies that are taking that are aware of the risks my doc told me about some things I could take over the counter besides the prescribed meds
Yes this is my fourth and I have had it with all my kids its the hardest thing in the world it can just shut u down completely I tried zofran and everything else nothing worked all u can do is wait for it to pass and make sure u stay hydrated
Try to get on zofran, it feels like it saved my life. Seriously lol. And the generic brand is what I'd suggest cuz its cheaper. And don't get your prescription filled at walgreens or the like. My zofran rx at walgreens was $155! At Costco for the same exact thing it was $28! But I didn't have health insurance so that made a difference.
I was prescribed Zofran to help and it wad truly god sent. Lol. I haf stopped taking the medication around 23 weeks cause the nausea and sickness subsided. But all the sudden today i feel beyond tired, no strength, really bad nausea to yhe point i had to take a Zofran. It helped i wad able to eat anf start feeling better, well now i have this horrible headache between my eyes, diarrhea (to the point i couldn't hold it in, sorry tmi), and lower abdominal cramping.

I reckon, I'm so sick of being sick! It's ment to be over! I just think my kids gonna have a lot of hair.
This did not happen with my first so im a little lost... my doctor prescribed zofran which I plan to pick up monday but I did some research about it not being safe. Does anyone know anything about this or have taken it and no problems? I am just at my wits end cuz I cannot keep anything down but water (not even crackers) and sometimes not even that.
Medication. I had severe morning sickness with my girls (hyperemisis gravidarum) and didn't go through it with my son. This is also my 4th pregnancy and was the worst of the three. I had to give in and take meds because I'm no good being bed ridden when I still have three kids to care for. Ask for one that is non drowsy. Don't be like me and wait till it's so severe you land yourself in the hospital. I'm glad to be past that stage. Horrible three months to deal with it.
And I'm on zofran 3x a day but in am or after long nap it's to late and I get sick anyway.anyone know why ? Anyone know how to stop it?

Any reviews on zofran ? Im 20 weeks and ive been taking it once a day almost my whole pregnancy to help me keep down food. But now im hearing bad things about it. I havent had an ultra sound yet so im worried about it?
I'm now 12w3d and I've been having really bad morning sickness to the point I have to go to the hospital 3times a week just for fluids and I've been taking the prescription zofran since I was 9 weeks. I recently saw that zofran is being sued for causing birth defects.. I've asked my doctor about it and she just says that there is no evidence yet.. I'm trading the pill form and getting thru iv.. I'm a ftm and I just don't know what to do right now.
