zofran

8475475 tn?1403476630 I have suffered from migraines for years and learned that lesson the hard way. The zofran normally does cause constipation but I know for some it will cause diarrhea. Honestly the migraine is probably causing the nausea. I hope the er gets you to feeling better soon! Migraines are no fun!
Avatar f tn Are you taking Zoftan for morning sickness? I suffered from migraines before getting pregnant when I got morning sickness bad they stuck me on Zofran and one of the side effects is head aches and it caused me to have migraines. They had me sip on Gatorade when I couldn't keep much water down. Sprite and ginger ale did the same thing to me.
Avatar f tn I've never heard of this before unisom is a sleep aid but i don't see why sleeping better would help with nausea i have an abnormally high level of hormones that my body produces and have been diagnosed with hyperemisis during this pregnancy and both of my previous two it's excessive vomiting due to the high level off hormones my body produces.
Avatar f tn Hello all, I am 10 weeks pregnant and extremely sick. I have headaches, even as extreme as turning into migraines. I have all day nausea and vomiting that won't let up. I have an aversion to all food and seemingly can only keep down crackers and bread. I'm worried I'm starving my baby, as I have absolutely no animal protein, no chicken or eggs or even yogurt.
Avatar f tn I am 47 and have suffered from migraines and headaches for about 6 years. The only thing that helped was Topamax. I used it about 6 years ago for about 2-3 months. Unfortunately, it made me extremely nauseous and my hair started to fall out. I am so desperate for relief that I asked my doctor to try it again, but at a lower dosage. The first day I took 25 mg and felt Like I had "morning sickness" all day. I am supposed to gradually increase to 200 mg by the end of the month.
Avatar f tn With my migraines being that bad i drink soda and it clears it right up!
Avatar f tn We have had a negative MRI/MRA, spinal tap and blood work was ok with just WBC and platelets elevated. We started with 5 mg of maxalt, naproxen, compazine, zofran, toradol and phenergan injections. No ease of pain or symptoms! Spinal tap last Wednesday and that night, again severe headache, nausea, and vomiting. We were admitted to the hospital and given IV decadron, depakote, compazine, toradol, and Benadryl.
11970398 tn?1443134602 Your doctor can give you an injection that stops you from vomiting for 12 hrs so you can at least get food and fluids in you.
Avatar f tn Ive tried several of the anti nausea medications and zofran worked the best for me depending on the headache. Some headaches or migraines I get none of the anti nausea medications work I end up sick anyway. Hope you can get some and it helps you.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a transfer migraine last August. It started on Aug 1st and hasn't left me since. It's been an agonizing 6 months. It's called transfer migraine because it moves all over my head. I've never had one of those common migraines where the light bothers me or I get nauseated or see auras, etc. My migraines have been "light" headaches that stay with me for a few days: from 3 to five days at the most.
Avatar f tn For migraines I had to take tylenol extra strength with coffee and then just icrease my in take of water because of havig the caffeine to keep it away (recommended by the nurse). You can always ask for zofran as well for morning sickness.

Avatar n tn I use Zofran for nausea and it works well. I needed it frquently while on 3x therapy, but still need it occasionally on SOC. If the nausea becomes too bothersome the zofran is great. I never realized how debilitating nausea can be until 3x treatment. Procrit is a treatment saver for me.
Avatar f tn Get Botox injections for killer migraines every 3 months (it REALLY does stop them). Tried Zofran sublingual and throw it up, injections of Phernergan, suppositories. Have no regular appetite. If I do feel hungry I'll eat then end up puking within a couple hours. GI Dr. can't come up w/anything. I feel like crap and keep losing weight. Lost 60 lbs since 2007 simply from vomiting. Anybody want to offer ideas/suggestions.
Avatar n tn I had to be put on meds and was diagnosed with hyperemesis Gravidvarium (severe morning sickness). I take zofran and pheneragan because that is all that helps.
492869 tn?1285018933 consistancy helps, other times the only thing that helps is not eating. I have found a muscle relaxer, zanaflex, that was prescribed for my chronic headaches/migraines to be the only thing that helps. But, that puts me to sleep so is of limited use if I want a normal life!
Avatar f tn He was treat with a Ceftin type drug for 14 days. He also to 60mg of steriod for 3 days, could not talk for 9 days. During this he was checked by an ENT. Yes, he has only been seen by Neuro. He had a sinus xray last year and a CAT Scan, 11-08. All were clear. He had an MRI in 11-09 when hospitalized for migraine, we went in level 8, left at level 6 apin level. That time torodol iv push worked.
Avatar f tn If you have nausea with your migraines ask your doctor about a prescription for Zofran it dissolves on your tongue and helps greatly. Hot showers are not recommended for migraines the heat can cause you to get really dizzy. Next time try a warm bath with an ice pack on your head and neck. Also sleep in the darkest coolest room in your house, if you have to use a fan. It keeps your temperature down so your head can relax. I've suffered from chronic migraines for 15 years now.
Avatar f tn As for something to help right how, when I get migraines I find putting an ice pack (in its cover) where the pain is until it becomes almost too cold... and then I warm up the area with my hand then repeat with the ice pack. I just keep doing that until the ice pack goes warm. I find it does give some relief. I know some people who have tried Toradol also to help with the pain. Hope this helps in some way.
Avatar f tn He has prescribed Verapamil 180 MG to be taken 1 in the PM. I was also perscribed 81mg asprin a day and zofran for nausea. This is for my Atypical migraines. I am scheduled to see him next week and he wants to know if I have had any improvement with the headaches. I looked up the Verapamil and it is not approved for the use he prescribed it for. Have you heard this medication used for this purpose?
694787 tn?1227718128 It is actually used for all sorts of things including morning sickness, migraines, and even helps stimulate a bowel movement in diabetics (we have some issues in that department). I hope this helps!!
