Not real pretty but I'm 12 weeks and have had diarrhea the last 2 days. I'm on zofran for nausea and that plugs me up so I've had to take milk of magnesia to go. But the last 2 days have been constant trips to the bathroom. Any advice?
30 in the afternoon when I vomitted for the first time. I continued to vomit and have diarrhea ever since. As of right now I've kept down 1oz of water every 1/2 hour since 4:30am this morning. Still not wanting to eat since I feel very nauseated even just drinking the water. Any ideas? Stomach flu? Severe morning sickness? Combo? I haven't had my first ob appointment yet since I'm 6wks4days today. My appt is scheduled for Dec 2nd.
So I.started taking zofran because.nausea is so bad. However, now I am incredibly constipated. What can I take that is dr/preggy approved?
My 30 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with idiopathic gastroparesis after suffering vomitting, nausea, diarrhea or constipation for 5 years. She is also borderline bi-polar II. One of her big problems is she has reactions to many meds. For instance, she cannot take any antihistamines, nor phenergan, or compazine because they result in severe akathesia. She can tolerate Reglan and is on that 4 times a day and has been prescribed Zofran, which helps some.
I had hyperemesis is gravidium too I was in the hospital for a week I'm on zofran and it helps I'm still a little nauseous but it's a lot better than it was.
s currently in remission), and I was afraid this bug would send me into a flare. The doctor gave me a 2 day prescription for Lomotil and some Zofran that dissolves under my tongue. The Lomotil couldn't even touch my diarrhea, but the Zofran has worked magixally. I don't know how to explain it but even those these are technically the same symptoms as Crohn's, they're entirely different. I have never felt this awful even when my disease was at its worst before surgery.
Its hard to work or do anything at home I puke and have diarrhea and just want to sleep. Im still gaining but I just feel like crapola. And zofran isn't working. Anybody else have this happen?
So for the first 14-15 weeks I was constipated so horribly bad, mainly because I was on zofran and I was dehydrated a lot from throwing up. But I'm now 23 weeks and I've had diarrhea since the constipation went away. Its not always too bad sometimes I just have loose stool but its starting to worry me so I was wondering if this is normal or not!
Zofran is known for the headache. Could possibly be just a puny day as we are allowed to have them! If you're not feeling better by tomorrow, I would call the doctor just to be sure you're not dehydrated.
Just as anyone should when considering using ANY drug, OTC or otherwise. For example, Immodium is popular for detox for the inevitable bathroom issues. However, it should be used very cautiously with people who have a history of liver disease, those who have diarrhea caused by antibiotics, and those who are taking certain anti-virals. Another example is the use of herbal supplements. They are contraindicated with countless prescripition medicines.
It has certainly helped me. I'm also taking Zofran for the nausea, and I was warned that the Zofran could cause a bit of constipation so if I do take the Immodium I just take 1/2 tablet. But it does work, and usually doesn't seem to take long to help.

They sell things called preggie pops and preggie drops they are made with certain oild such as lemon, lavendar, peppermint, ginger I like them....
m afraid we are headed for another 20 pound weight loss. He has zofran but it only helps a little. And it never stops the vomiting. Has anyone had something similar and actually had a diagnosis or resolution? I've thought about cyclic vomiting syndrome, but the diarrhea component doesn't seem to fit. And he does not have DRASTIC or dramatic vomiting - he just basically throws up what he eats. He is not woken in the middle of the night to vomit or anything like that.
Everyone is different and what works for some does not work for others. I used zofran and phenergan suppositories for nausea. For constipation I used stool softners and used miralax powder. When I used these like clockwork, I would usually do alright. I kept a medication journal and wrote it all down( or when I wasn't doing so well someone would) so I would not forget something or the time to take it.
On March 28th I had started feeling bad and had diarrhea twice and felt extremely weak my husband brought me to the ER and when they tried to do my IV they said I was very dehydrated and all the digging around for a vein caused me to vomit but they gave me fluids and zofran and after that I never did again and just felt weak for a couple days.
Hey I was just looking for some insight from anyone who has experienced this before. I'm not sure if it's norning sickness or something else. I'm in week 7 of my pregnancy and I woke up this morning with diarrhea and terrible cramping. I got so sweaty I had to take off all of my clothes and so dizzy I was afraid I wasn't going to make it back to my bedroom. I had an intense nauseous feeling as well but didn't vomit. I've not had any morning sickness yet.
