I caught Gastro at the end of my holiday in Spain, I had sickness and the runs and became severely dehydrated and ended up in hospital because I couldn't even keep water down - I think I was 13 weeks at the time. Baby will be fine as long as you are staying hydrated. I would contact your GP to find out if you can take the mess that you are on because I know that even many herbal remedies are frowned upon by the medical world.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I've already been Diagnosed with hyper emesis gravadium and the put me on some anti nausea medicine the first one didn't work at all this second one works a little bit but I'm still not keeping much down and now I'm having diarrhea and I'm still very light headed what should i do
You need to contact your OB. Vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration which is bad in pregnancy. Please make sure to check in with the doctor and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
Yesterday morning at 3am I woke up with stomach cramps, low blood sugar, and ended up having some major diarrhea. The diarrhea continued all day, I had a lack of appetite, but was able to keep fluids in until about 2:30 in the afternoon when I vomitted for the first time. I continued to vomit and have diarrhea ever since. As of right now I've kept down 1oz of water every 1/2 hour since 4:30am this morning.
d better see a doctor. I went to Urgent Care and got a bag of I.V. fluids and 8mg of Zofran intravenously. I was extremely dehydrated and it definitely helped! I wish I could get a bag of fluids every day.
What scared me was the fact that I have Crohn's Disease (it's currently in remission), and I was afraid this bug would send me into a flare. The doctor gave me a 2 day prescription for Lomotil and some Zofran that dissolves under my tongue.
So for the first 14-15 weeks I was constipated so horribly bad, mainly because I was on zofran and I was dehydrated a lot from throwing up. But I'm now 23 weeks and I've had diarrhea since the constipation went away. Its not always too bad sometimes I just have loose stool but its starting to worry me so I was wondering if this is normal or not!
I was prescribed Zofran to help and it wad truly god sent. Lol. I haf stopped taking the medication around 23 weeks cause the nausea and sickness subsided. But all the sudden today i feel beyond tired, no strength, really bad nausea to yhe point i had to take a Zofran. It helped i wad able to eat anf start feeling better, well now i have this horrible headache between my eyes, diarrhea (to the point i couldn't hold it in, sorry tmi), and lower abdominal cramping.
It has certainly helped me. I'm also taking Zofran for the nausea, and I was warned that the Zofran could cause a bit of constipation so if I do take the Immodium I just take 1/2 tablet. But it does work, and usually doesn't seem to take long to help.

Hey I've been having stomach problems since I was a kid. I'm 25 now and still experience problems daily. My doctor prescribes me zofran which helps with nausea and helps to prevent vomiting. It's used in chemotherapy patients and works with our situation. I have ibs too. It helps quickly and works well. Some says are better than others.
Everyone is different and what works for some does not work for others. I used zofran and phenergan suppositories for nausea. For constipation I used stool softners and used miralax powder. When I used these like clockwork, I would usually do alright. I kept a medication journal and wrote it all down( or when I wasn't doing so well someone would) so I would not forget something or the time to take it.
On March 28th I had started feeling bad and had diarrhea twice and felt extremely weak my husband brought me to the ER and when they tried to do my IV they said I was very dehydrated and all the digging around for a vein caused me to vomit but they gave me fluids and zofran and after that I never did again and just felt weak for a couple days.
m in week 7 of my pregnancy and I woke up this morning with diarrhea and terrible cramping. I got so sweaty I had to take off all of my clothes and so dizzy I was afraid I wasn't going to make it back to my bedroom. I had an intense nauseous feeling as well but didn't vomit. I've not had any morning sickness yet. Does this sound familiar? I'm just worried because it was so intense. Thanks.
I feel ill everytime i take my iron pills, the first few days i was alright but now im getting diarrhea and wanting to vomit. I even take them with food. Im 30weeks pregnant, my csection is 8 weeks away and im severly anemic, i HAVE to get my iron up before surgery and i cant stop taking it. It just makes me feel so ill the last few times.
There is another nausea pill you can take. I forget the name of it. Just tell your doctor the Zofran isn't working and can they prescribe you something else.
s, cholitis, diverticulitis, basically enything GI! I go back and forth between diarrhea and constipation which makes my stomach feel even more blocked up. I am vomiting bile mainly, lots of dry heaving. Sometimes I may spend all morning just heaving. I have no appetite and am not thirsty, making me dehydrated. I have lost like 10 pounds in a week. I do eat if I feel a 'hunger-urge" but they are rare now. No doctor has been able to tell me anything.
