I never used it during pregnancy but thy did give me a high dosage of it during labor it worked so good.

Because they dont tell u what else the mothers did or took during the pregnancy nor the dosage!

I would highly recommend Zofran. It is used for nausea and it works WONDERS! They have other drugs likes Phenergan and Compozine, but the side effects are long and AWFUL (I know because I have taken both). I just looked at the med fact on Zofran and while it doesn't say much about breastfeeding while taking Zofran, there aren't any known problems with taking it during pregnancy.

I am taking zofran and it's perfectly safe and a class b drug. The ads on tv are just lawyers trying to get money for a case they can't prove. The birth defects they state are the most common among all babies born no matter a family history or not. Don't be afraid to take it if you need it. If you are that afraid though, look up the study of 600,000 pregnant women in denmark in 2013 that proved it was safe.

Doctor is going to start me on vitamin b6 that helped me during my second pregnancy now on bby #3 hopefully it helps since I to have lost weight.u should adk your doctor if it would help u to. Just as a second choice.

t really taken it though just because by the time i feel sick its to late and i did see one of those terrible commercials on it lately so it kinda worried me but during my first pregnancy it was a life saver

They both work pretty good for me..the zofran does work a little better for me though but it makes me so constipated (tmi) and the promethazine will make you so sleepy! I still need both occasionally :/ 32 weeks today!

I had severe nausea during all four of my pregnancies and was only prescribed Zofran during my last pregnancy. My daughter was born with spina bifida and fused toes on one foot and several ear and skin tags. I was only taking prenatal vitamins and Zofran during this pregnancy. My daughter had to undergo spinal surgery at six months of age. She fortunately does not suffer the terrible heart defects some of the other unfortunate children did.

There is no recall on zofran. It is safe to take during pregnancy. I took it for 7 weeks this pregnancy and no defects with this baby. Don't believe everything you hear on tv or online.

Once I was about 18 it was virtually gone with some minor breakthrough nausea. I started gaining weight like crazy so ur body will catch up.

The risks of defects associated with Zofran occur before 12 weeks of pregnancy. I had to take it for a few weeks during that period before my morning sickness went away. They check for defects and everything at your 20 week scan. It seems like she prescribed it because the risk of you running into a health issue due to your weight loss is higher than a birth defect caused by Zofran.

you should talk to your doctor about whats safe to take during pregnancy. does he know you are taking dramamine? just make sure its safe! i know its frusturating when pregnant and cant sleep....its the worst! i feel for you...best of luck!

no, 200mg 2x/day isn't ever effective for suppressive therapy , even when not pregnant. Not in canada so I go by the ACOG recommendations as well as the extensive research by Dr Zane Brown who has done the majority of the research on herpes and pregnancy. It seems that the most concern is when it's taken in the first trimester. It seems it's only recommended when there are no other alternatives. There seems to be confusion on what class it is, cause I've seen it labeled as both a C and D. Call and get a second opinion and see if there's anything else you can take. I believe you said you were using it for anxiety, nausea and sinus? If so, there might be a few better things that you can take which might be safer.

I'm on it to..Round two of it. I'm thinking everything's going to be fine. They say benadryl might (might) cause it also which is safe during pregnancy and I've also taken that. But it could also happen for no reason at all. So I try not to worry. You have to eat. Believe me I take it and even then I still get sick but it's better then not taking it at all.
