7996069 tn?1410153318 My fiances aunt said she has ones you swallow but mine work faster. And without insurance the script would have been $150! Crazy!
Avatar f tn When I was prescribed zofran, I still didn't have insurance. It cost me an arm and a leg, but it really helped. I was so sick I kept ending up in the hospital, and I couldn't even keep down water. It reallydepebds on how bad your sickness is. They are amazing medication though.
Avatar f tn The total out-of-pocket wihout insurance would be $2400 a year. With insurance it would be $1900 a year. So now the total cost of medical care with United catastrophic insurance is $6300 and uninsured out-of-pocket cost is $3600. The costs of outpatient procedures and other things are generally comparable to that and I'm not going to bother doing the math on them as I'm not familiar with the costs there.
Avatar f tn I am taking zofran and it's perfectly safe and a class b drug. The ads on tv are just lawyers trying to get money for a case they can't prove. The birth defects they state are the most common among all babies born no matter a family history or not. Don't be afraid to take it if you need it. If you are that afraid though, look up the study of 600,000 pregnant women in denmark in 2013 that proved it was safe.
Avatar f tn I was given Zofran during my tx with Incivek. The insurance company fussed and the nurse practitioner had to go back and forth with them a bit. Seems it's approved for cancer chemo but they haven't yet figured out that HCV tx is also chemo. I think that's the big benefit of Zofran, it doesn't cause the drowsiness. I wonder if the cost is any better by now. Anyway, it really worked for me even at the lowest dose.
Avatar f tn Hey guys....my birthday is on the 10th of this month and I will be 21. So next year I will be 22 and I'm still in college and of course I'm diabetic. My parents insurance over cover me until I'm 22. What's a good insurance for diabetics and how much will it cost because I can't go not being uninsured. I can barely keep up with what my insulin and strips cost now WITH insurance.
Avatar f tn I am pregnant with my first child and I had the same question about how much it would cost. I have insurance but mines was able to give me an estimate of how much a vaginal birth and c - section would cost out of pocket. Vaginal birth was about $5,000-$6,000 and C - section was about $8,000-$9,000. I am assuming this varies depending on labor. Hope this helps some.
Avatar f tn It was gonna cost us over two hundred to pay out of pocket but with insurance it was only ten bucks
Avatar n tn umm in the usa without insurance, n im chronic.
Avatar n tn Like any health treatment, it can be quite costly without insurance. If you are in the states, I would recommend going to Planned Parenthood. They will charge you on a sliding scale fee or for free and make things very affordable.
Avatar f tn can someone walk me through the process of getting health insurance? I don't currently have any, and I'm already seeing how expensive this pregnancy will be without it. I had my first visit yesterday and it's cost $240 out of pocket. I'm 18 on August 28th, any advice?
Avatar f tn If you are worried, you can call your local pregnancy hotline. Zofran is the only thing keeping me eating and drinking while pregnant. I ended up in the ER without it. LOVE IT!
Avatar f tn Hi again:) wondering what you take for morning sickness? I have taken OTC b6/unisom didn't help. Now on zofran but my good ins plan ends sat. Zofran without insurance using generic name, I can't think of it now but it costs 311.00 dollars without ins. You ladies know of an rx that is cheaper without good insurance since I will have to pay out of pocket. Thx for your time.
Avatar f tn I am just wondering if that how much you really gotta pay with or without insurance just for a freaking check up. I mean they just ask MW how I'm doing check my blood pressure check my baby's heartbeat and that's it. Oh they check if I still have the bacterial vaginosis and if I still have any other infections by peeing and a swab. Seriously? Just for all that. I mean I ain't paying anything but its still my insurance. Or their a rip off?!?!
629668 tn?1222914854 My insurance only covers the office visits and the meds but does not cover the IVF cost. It cost us about 8000 for the procedure.
Avatar f tn Nothing worked for my mom, even Zofran which we had to purchase...without insurance...for nearly $1,000 per week (as you can expect she went without when outpatient)...IV, pill, etc....no relief. The only time she did was the use of a G-Tube (surgical tube into the stomach) to drain that fluids...but that is extreme (but also common)...route to take if the meds that were talked about in this thread do not work. Aloxi (as mentioned) is one of the newer ones and does last a while...
Avatar f tn In Canada without insurance it costed me $25, however I'm not sure how much is covered by the public health care or if it falls under prescriptions and private insurance. In pets the cost is $500-1500 depending on the length of testing so I would assume it should be somewhere around that.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
748907 tn?1233163781 If you don't have health insurance you can look into one of the government trials going on. They pay for the tests and the meds. If you are denied by insurance you can call one of the two numbers above for Commitment to Care of Pegasys but then you'd have to still pay for all the tests.
Avatar m tn can anyone give me an idea of what interferon costs im just looking for a round about figure so i can start planning to try and afford it i know what my insurance will cover im looking for either the cost beofre or without insurance as well as with insurance or just what you paid for it and if you live in georgia and have coventry as your insurance provider i would really like to chat with you about the costs
Avatar f tn I was prescribed zofran.
Avatar m tn It can take weeks to start working and you might need to increase the dose. How long have you been taking it?
1218873 tn?1300091216 There is no rhyme or reason to the US Medical system. Everyone gets charged differently for the same MRI at the same facilitiy. The same with Pharamceuticals. The Government sets the rates for Medicare reimbursement which is too low for service. The insurance companies one by one negotiate with the facilities and Drug plans every year or so, which is based loosely on Medicare.
1036535 tn?1278502599 Looking at the EOB from insurance they repeatedly charged me for something that cost $89.72. The only thing I got more several times was Pepsi, and I know an 8 oz. can doesn't cost that much ;) I can't believe the stupid insurance company paid this right away, but haven't paid other, more legitimate things without a fight!
Avatar f tn no matter how much the hospital bill comes to be id go to the er like asap! red blood isnt good!! i dnt think yu have to pay anything up front anyways...
Avatar n tn The difference between the full cost of a treatment (which the uninsured often are charged), and the amount the insurance company tells them they will pay is often quite a bit. If you have cash and offer to pay up front (for a discount) you may get charged less than what they can get out of the insurance company, because it's less hassle and instant money for them. Just a thought, even if you had to borrow the money. Will your Endo accept results from another facility?
