After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days. I also took doxy 100mg. bid for two weeks but my testicles still hurt. Was the treatment enough or a failure?
Also my wife whom i had sex during the supposed incubation period also took 1g of zithromax and 5 days of 100mg. doxy bid.
I freaked out and thought I may have contracted possible STD so i requested some advice from a pharmacy the next day whereby they prsecribed 400mg cefixime and 2g Zithromax all to be taken at one go

I would like to know please if like a day or two following 1,5g single dose of zithromax can someone develop an itchy skin rash for 6 days with red spots on the torso and few pimples on the arms and legs, nothing on the face or neck.

I used to have whitish liquidy discharge and pain in my urethra. After a course of zithromax, I no longer discharge but a light tingling sensation remains and the rash still remains. The rash fades when I take antimicrobial substances like coconut oil and olive leaf extract, but it never goes away completely. All of my tests for stds have come back negative. Is there any idea what this could be and how to cure it?
I was prescribed 2 Grams of Zithromax and wondered if I could split it up over 2 days instead of taking the full 8 pills at once. I'm afraid of the upset stomach and diarrhea . Just wondering if I cansplit up the dosage and get the same results?
Hello, a few times a year, I get swollen lymph glands under the jaw, and at the same time a sore throat and a high fever. My doctor prescribed me Zithromax and I was told to take it every time I have the same symptoms (500mg dose daily for three days).
I have the same symptoms now and it is very painful, however I did have unprotected sex three days ago with someone who has apparently had unprotected sex themselves many times and never been tested.
Though you tested negative for the bacterial infections, you were given Zithromax in case (as a back up plan) you might have caught anything. Its seems like you didn't catch anything since you waited a week and hopefully you didn't have symptoms. Your original doctor is a good doctor and the doze of zithromax you took was a pre-caution, and it took care of any bacteria that the tests may have been missed.

Was prescribed Zithro 1 day dosage. Symptoms alleviated but still felt as if something was not right down there. I was also able to milk slight clear discharge from my penis I figured I'd wait it out to see if maybe symtpoms would go away. So I am taking prednisone a steroid for 13 days, and zithromax a one time dosage today, and robitussin DM for cough and chest congestion.
The doc actually acidentally popped my ear drum today too, it sucked. He was sticking the instrament(sp) that looks inside the ears, and the ear drum was sooooo swollen it popped. So I had blood and puss running out of my ear for a while, until he flushed it out, so im now completely but temporarily deaf in my right ear lol.
I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with chlamydia and tested negative for gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV, I was prescribed the 1000mg dose of zithromax, I took the pills and ate two hours after I took the pill (the directions said take 1 hour prior to eating).
I am told and have read that Zithromax can and often does make people sick to their stomach and throw up -- particularly in a 2g dose. Is there anything that can prevent this? What about a half cup of milk or a little food such as a slice of bread?
i have heard that overdosing on antibiotics will weaken your immune system. will those dosage of zithromax be enough to supress my immune system that it will delay the production of antibodies? i also take daily multi vitamins and exercise suplements like protein shake, zinc and l-arginine. will those have any affect on hiv tetsing?

My doctor wants to test me for Syphillis and HIV (via "antibody test") at 15-days. He states that he runs blood through 3 different hiv tests at that time and that his results are so specific that they would have a 99.9% accuracy.
It has been my experience with hospitals that they will give you information on all medication they give you before you leave. They should also have explained it before it was given to you, but as scared as you are of this, you might not have comprehended what they said. Try to find your paperwork and look to see if the information on the medication was given to you.
I know that you will say if I am concerned, I should get tested, but based on this additional information, what would you say? The zithromax would have taken care of it, if there had been anything, wouldn't it?

In Feb. 06 I suffered a blackout. I may have had a sexual encounter with a sex worker. I had a girlfriend at this time (now fiancee). We weren't having full sex at the time. (All screens came back neg. except for NSU which is recurring). Main concern is any possible damage I may cause/have caused to my fiancee.
July 06 - Tested positive for NSU (no known bacteria found). - Prescribed 1g Zithromax in a single dose. - Was not called back to GUM & was told to continue on as normal.
Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.
I asked our medic at work about it, he said more than likely it was not an STD because of how fast it appeared. I took 750mg of zithromax orally just in case. It has only been 2 days not other symptoms. Could this just be an irritation from this sexual experience, is it ever normal to have symptoms? The medic said it could be fluids from the night before.
I was treated with cipro, with no results and then went to the ER and was given a shot of rocephin, a 1000 mg of Zithromax and prescribed doxycycline. The discharge went away, and the lymph swelling in my left armpit, left elbow and behind my left knee went down by about 1/3, but stayed swollen and irritated for over a year. I had unprotected sex after that with only one woman for a few months, but I always pulled out and never ejaculated in her.
