I would like to know please if like a day or two following 1,5g single dose of zithromax can someone develop an itchy skin rash for 6 days with red spots on the torso and few pimples on the arms and legs, nothing on the face or neck.
in the past month her and i both tested possitive for chlamydia and gonnorhea but they her test and so she took a urinalysis again. botched the test so we both took zithromax 1g and 2 weeks later took suprax 400mg. we carried on having protected sex until this week. This morning i went to the clinic where the doctor did a dip test on my urine and discovered traces of blood.
1. Is it possible that i could have caught chlamydia / gonnorhea again - conseridering she could still be infected.

Though you tested negative for the bacterial infections, you were given Zithromax in case (as a back up plan) you might have caught anything. Its seems like you didn't catch anything since you waited a week and hopefully you didn't have symptoms. Your original doctor is a good doctor and the doze of zithromax you took was a pre-caution, and it took care of any bacteria that the tests may have been missed.

It has been my experience with hospitals that they will give you information on all medication they give you before you leave. They should also have explained it before it was given to you, but as scared as you are of this, you might not have comprehended what they said. Try to find your paperwork and look to see if the information on the medication was given to you.
I know that you will say if I am concerned, I should get tested, but based on this additional information, what would you say? The zithromax would have taken care of it, if there had been anything, wouldn't it?

In Feb. 06 I suffered a blackout. I may have had a sexual encounter with a sex worker. I had a girlfriend at this time (now fiancee). We weren't having full sex at the time. (All screens came back neg. except for NSU which is recurring). Main concern is any possible damage I may cause/have caused to my fiancee.
July 06 - Tested positive for NSU (no known bacteria found). - Prescribed 1g Zithromax in a single dose. - Was not called back to GUM & was told to continue on as normal.
I asked our medic at work about it, he said more than likely it was not an STD because of how fast it appeared. I took 750mg of zithromax orally just in case. It has only been 2 days not other symptoms. Could this just be an irritation from this sexual experience, is it ever normal to have symptoms? The medic said it could be fluids from the night before.
I was treated with cipro, with no results and then went to the ER and was given a shot of rocephin, a 1000 mg of Zithromax and prescribed doxycycline. The discharge went away, and the lymph swelling in my left armpit, left elbow and behind my left knee went down by about 1/3, but stayed swollen and irritated for over a year. I had unprotected sex after that with only one woman for a few months, but I always pulled out and never ejaculated in her.
Also, because he saw I didn’t seem convinced, he just gave me 2g of Zithromax (8 tablets) which he said would take care of Gono and Chlamydia if I had it. I took it in one shot.
I came to this reputed site for a second opinion.
i) Does this event carry any risk for HIV or any STD? Would you recommend any testing? I’m thinking of doing a HIV Duo test at 28 days and a VDRL
ii) Assuming I had a RECTAL infection from this, would 2g of Zithromax clear Gono and Chlamydia?

I dated a guy back from October-December and we had sex about 5 times. I know it is not healthy to do this but I recently became paranoid and took 1g of Zithromax today just in case of a STD. I was tested before this guy and was clean. I am unable to get a STD test due to facilities closing pretty early and will get one in a couple months but do you think the 1g would have cured gonnoreha, chlamydia, and syphilis if I did have it?
I got the result when I arrived- and I tested positive. So I went to local doctor in Italy and he prescribed 500mg Zithromax (12 tablets) and said take one a day for 12 days... that seems a lot. I took one yesterday and one today... not sure what to do now! Most sites say 1000mg is enough!
1) Would 5 days of doxycycline and on day 6 the 1.5 g zithromax cure chlamydia if present?
2) I used zithromax back in july for an ear infections. Would this build up resistance against chlamydia due to overuse of zithromax?
it went away but came back, so possibly the Zithromax is not strong enough to eliminate possible MG. Presumably if it was MG then 1g Zithromax was doing no good & it was now resistant against it. However I then was given a 3rd 1g & it went away for 4years. So is MG ruled out based on this as i didn't take Moxi or 5days of Zithromax prior to the 4years clear spell? Note: Doxy was also taken prior to the 4year clear spell but this isn't good against MG.
As this problem started next day of started taking the zithromax tablet, i want to know this problem caused by zithromax side effect or by hiv symptom?
I just want to be aware what is happening with me, so that i can proceed further in that way. that's why i am asking it again. Please dont mistake me Rob.

the first was receiving unprotected oral sex from a CSW (a female, I am male) while intoxicated, the second was trying to self-treat with antibiotics. I took 1.5 g. of Zithromax and began 7 days of Doxy (this was prescribed, for a sinus infection), 2x100mg/day about eight hours after the event.
Next day, in a panic, convinced that 1.5 of zithromax would not be enough, I took 2 g of Biaxin at once. I plan to take 500 mg/day for the next 3 days.
I received zithromax (azithromycin) for 5 days. (500 mg the first day and 250 mg day 2-5). The symptoms have improved, for example I no longer have the morning discharge that I had before and the stains in my underwear have almost disappeared. It is now 5 days since I took the last dose of zithromax. I still have some mucus strings and mucus debris in my urine. I did not have this before the STD so I know it is not normal for me.
is it safe to take Zithromax? i have a double ear infection and a bad cold and the ER prescribed it for me.
ever since I took zithromax a month ago, I haven't felt well. Upset stomach, loose stool,etc.. I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and I am prone to chest pains, etc. Have had many tests and they say there is nothing wrong with my heart. However, ever since I took the meds, I have been having back, shoulder, arm, stomach and chest discomfort. The pain travels and is short lived, and sometimes it gets worse when sitting.
I was treated for Gonnorhea, and Clamydia with an injection and Zithromax. My partner was given Cipro for UTI, Suprax and Zithromax he started the Cipro last Thursday and when positive results came back yesterday started the other two meds, his symptoms were gone before starting the Zithromax and Suprax, I had no symptoms. My question is what is the percent of reinfection if we have sex over the weekend.
