Hi, i was diagnosed with chlamydia today in my local STD clinic, the doctor gave me 4 250mg Zithromax tablets to take which i did as instructed. A little later without thinking about it i drank one pint of beer. Genuine mistake. i was just wondering will the dose of Zithromax i took work now?
My test results are not back from the lab yet but I had symptoms and was treated for what the physician said sounded like chlamydia. He gave me 1000mg Zithromax and my symptoms are going away fairly quickly so I am assuming I had chlamydia and not gonorrhea. As I have read here on other threads it would take around 2000mg of Zithromax to treat gonorrhea

I am unable to get a STD test due to facilities closing pretty early and will get one in a couple months but do you think the 1g would have cured gonnoreha, chlamydia, and syphilis if I did have it? I did not notice any bumps on him and he said he gives blood and nothing has come back wrong (although I am not sure how long ago that was).
I had chlamydia and negative for gonorrhea and had yeast infection. I was prescribed zithromax, which cured it when I went back to the clinic. Also, my pap smear was all normal. This was all about 3 months ago. Now, for the past week, I've been having all the same symptoms I had when I got diagnosed with chlamydia: itching in vagina, bleeding in between periods, thick whitish-brownish (I guess from the blood), with an odor. My panties are constantly ruined from this.
Hi I am currently three days on Zithromax (treating chlamydia) and I have a light sometimes darker Orange discharge with strings of blood in them when I wipe. The consistency is stretchy and I’m pretty worried. Me and my partner (also taken Zithromax one day oral medicine) haven’t had sex since our treatment (same day), as told to wait seven days. Two weeks later my older brother has told me the heat would of rendered the anti-biotic useless and that i still would have chlamydia. He told me had the same problem but mixed it with Lucozade Soda (A energy drink)
Before i have another test i would like to have an expert opinion on wether i would still have the infection.
I have made an appintment at the health clinic on the 23rd January 2010 as I'm in full time employment.

After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days. I also took doxy 100mg. bid for two weeks but my testicles still hurt. Was the treatment enough or a failure?
Also my wife whom i had sex during the supposed incubation period also took 1g of zithromax and 5 days of 100mg. doxy bid.
The doctor took a swab and diagnosed me Chlamydia in about 10mins and said the Zithromax had failed. Two days later I was extremely suspicious so I went to a lab. They did every STI Test possible for urine plus a blood test (IGG and IGM) for Chlamydia and Ghono. All came back negative. The last month or so I have had a discomfort in a testicle which is only painful if I touch it and paranoia took a hold of me again. Could it be Chlamydia like the first doc said? Or something unrelated?
I went back to the doctor and got treated again for chlamydia and took another test. The results came back negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea, but even a week after these results discharge from my penis still persist. I had also gotten treated with Metrondizale for trich but symptoms still persisted after that. It is now almost April and am still having discharge in the morning and after urinating with a mild sting and itch after urinating.
If it is sexually transmitted, Isn't prostatitis and gnu caused by chlamydia itself? By taking the
Zithromax 1gm wouldn't that in itself rule out prostatitis and gnu due to chlamydia being treated?

I have recently been diagnosed with mild NGU although I am still waiting for my Chlamydia and Gonorrhea results. I have been given one single dose of azithromycin (1 g) . It has been four days now, and when i urinate there is still a burning sensation. I have not had any discharge at all. Before (Hours before) I have the burning feeling when I urinate, I also have a feeling of pressure/pain at my pelvis.

m worried, I shamefully cheated on my wife one time only on the 5th of June, 5 days later I strted to need to pee all the time, I visited my doctor on the 15th June and he tested me for Clymadia and Gonnorhea and gave me 1 gram of Zithromax to take straight away. The results came back negative. 2 weeks later the need to urinate came back again, and 4 times since then I've had a tiny amount of clear discharge in the morning.
Good point. I'm just ... i guess embarrassed and would rather just take those pills and hope for the best. I'm not planning on even touching her until I know its gone. I guess the plan is to see if the magic pill works, if not, I'll just be going to my doc.
Plus to kind of add to my original post, I had chlamydia long time ago (I know, I know, I'm a ***** I guess) and had real bad burning. I went to the doc and the doc said it was chlamydia.
