Good point. I'm just ... i guess embarrassed and would rather just take those pills and hope for the best. I'm not planning on even touching her until I know its gone. I guess the plan is to see if the magic pill works, if not, I'll just be going to my doc.
Plus to kind of add to my original post, I had chlamydia long time ago (I know, I know, I'm a ***** I guess) and had real bad burning. I went to the doc and the doc said it was chlamydia.
My test results are not back from the lab yet but I had symptoms and was treated for what the physician said sounded like chlamydia. He gave me 1000mg Zithromax and my symptoms are going away fairly quickly so I am assuming I had chlamydia and not gonorrhea. As I have read here on other threads it would take around 2000mg of Zithromax to treat gonorrhea

I went back to the doctor and got treated again for chlamydia and took another test. The results came back negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea, but even a week after these results discharge from my penis still persist. I had also gotten treated with Metrondizale for trich but symptoms still persisted after that. It is now almost April and am still having discharge in the morning and after urinating with a mild sting and itch after urinating.

This was all about 3 months ago. Now, for the past week, I've been having all the same symptoms I had when I got diagnosed with chlamydia: itching in vagina, bleeding in between periods, thick whitish-brownish (I guess from the blood), with an odor. My panties are constantly ruined from this.
They treated me for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia while sending the test off (only vaginal swab). They gave me a shot and 4 zithromax and 4 other anti fungal type pills. Well they also prescribed doxycycline. I started taking it. Raging yeast infection! Well i took the doxycycline for 5 days before my ex fiance wanted to come back. We were together sexually on the 19th. No oral. (The gonorrhea and chlamydia test came back negative....vaginally) im scared to death it could still be in my throat.
I went into a urologist and was diagnosed with potential prostatitis and was put on a 4 week course of bactrim. I had read that chlamydia and gonorrhea could be the cause of prostatitis. I had a complete STI test done and all came back negative. Hi all , ok here is my concern , I had an unprotected encounter with a girl woke up the next day and took 1g gram of zithromax ,as for the fear of catching nsu or Chlamydia, 9 days later i booked my self in for a full screening , and all my tests came back negitive , my worry is would me taking zithromax 9 days before the test effect the gonorrhea result ,

In oktober my wife needed to that Zithromax 1.5g over 2 days for an infection of her ear. I then also took Zithromax 1.5g and doxycycline 100mg 2 x a day for 5 days against possible chlamydia/ngu. I have a few questions:
1) Can I get gonorrhea or ngu from this brief oral?
2) Would the Zithromax 1 day after the exposure block or prevent gonorrhea or ngu?
3) What about the 4 pills of augmentin?
4) I’m afraid that the Zithromax just made gonorrhea symptoms mild.
If you have an unprotected sex exposure and 3 days after a doctor gives you a zpac (1500mg of zithromax at one time) for possible Chy and GH exposure would that take care of both of those STD's?
If you then had a test 3 days after that (6 days from exposure) and everything came back negative, would that be reliable OR would the antibiotics you took possibly have tainted the results?
I Tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. I took treatment anyways for chlamydia for reassurance, 1 dose of Zithromax. symptoms still here after 2 weeks so today I took treatment for Trichomoniasis for reassurance as well. Penis discharge started 20 days ago. Anus irritation started 8 days ago. What do I do? I dont have money for urologist and i have low income health insurance that almost all docs wont accept.
I had the most common symptoms for gonorrhea and clamydia. I went and got tested and I won't have the results for a couple days. They gave me a shot of rocephin and zithromax in a powder form with water added. I am wondering if this is enough to cure me of them if I do indeed have them, and when is the soonest I can get tested again to make sure they are gone. I was told one week, but I just want to be sure. Thanks.
This is not common but is well described. The timing and description of your discharge are quite consistent with gonorrhea and the therapy the you received is the recommended therapy for gonorrhea. The same treat ment would also cure chlamydia or NGU if these were causing your discharge.
I predict that you will find your discharge gone or at least much improved by tomorrow morning and suspect that your test will be positive for gonorrhea as well.
To this point I had mild urethritis only, Yesterday as paranoia has me in a tighter and tighter grip I bought a identigene Chlamydia and Gonorrhea urine test and mailed it off but will have to wait until weeks end for results. Yesterday three days after the zithromax I have noticeably less urethritis but noticed a small amount of clear discharge in the urethra. Is this normal? Also if the test comes back positive for chlamydia or gonorrhea do I assume that the above treatment was adequate?

Testing 4 days after zithromax was a waste of money for the most part. Though it's not very effective for gonorrhea, it is for chlamydia and if you actually had chlamydia, you would've gotten a negative result at that point anyways. Did they do routine urine testing to look for signs of infection at all?
Pink eye is viral most times. In time it will go away but if it's been a week, best to be seen and get eye drops.
Three weeks later I went and saw the doctor and they did a swab test, urine test, and blood test; the results for chlamydia and gonorrhea were negative. They also treated me symptomatically at the time of the above said visit for both mentioned STD’s. I still have a small discharge when I wake up and “milk” it and it appears to be clear and kind of watery.
3 days go, I went to see an STD specialist and I requested to have a rectal swab for STDs (mainly Gonorrhea ,Chlamydia, Syphlis). He said that no testing was required; there was no risk for HIV or STD from the incident. In fact, he found the whole idea of risk quite unbelievable. He just mentioned that the only small risk would be if there were blisters/lesions present during the grinding (for Herpes), and he said to just monitor any blisters in the area within the next few weeks.
