I am eating zidovudine and lamivudine !and I am a smoker so i just wanna know smoke will influence medicine or not?
I ate lamivudine and zidovudine at 22 hours late after the behavior.Does it will work well?
I was given Epivir, Viread and Zidovudine.

Clinical risk factors for severe RBV-induced anemia include impaired renal function, high age, high dose per body weight and female gender. The type of anemia you have is hemolytic anemia (drug induced) so food or supplements are not going to help, your doc seems to be following protocol by reducing riba after becoming UND, 9.7 is not to bad, ask your doc about a drug called procrit (erythropoietin) to help if the riba reduction doesn't work as well as needed

After investigation, the doctor prescribed PEP for 28 days. The tablet name is DUOVIR (Lamivudine 150MG/Zidovudine 300 mg). The doctor told to take "half tablet" in the morning and "1 full tablet" in the night.
When I read the leaflet inside the tablet, it is written that it should be given to adults or children over 12 years of age. It is mentioned that it should not be given to children below 12 years of age.

my regimen was Zidovudine+Lamivudine+Aluvia, i mean, i missed one dose of Zidovudine+Lamivudine+Aluvia...you mean I should add one dose more on the end?
1 - would PEP be effective even if the source has a high viral load?
2 - After the 28 days, can I drink alcohol?

No Risk in a "Prick" alone. HIV is transmitted via INJECTION from needles not pricks. You should have still reported this and followed the hospital rules for this type of event.
This is hypotension perhaps made worse by the tachycardia induced through sexual excitement. It would be no harm however to have a blood test done to rule out anemia etc.
No being overdue does not mean your baby is anemic nor does it have anything to do with anemia.
Heart attacks are the most server side effect of Ribavirin due to anemia. Cardiac disease may be worsened by drug induced anemia, patients with a history of 274 significant or unstable cardiac disease should not use Ribavirin.

My father is 77 years old and up until now has been generally healthy apart from irritable bowel syndrome which has lead to suspected pernicious anemia.(We suspect it as he has the symptoms but refuses to get tested).
Three weeks ago he had a seizure in the middle of the night during which he convulsed for a few minutes
lost conciousness for a few minutes and was illucid for a few hours.
The next morning he was lucid but couldnot remember the incident.
I performed oral sex on a guy that I later found out has HIV. I certainly swallowed a bit of his cum during the oral sex and the next day discovered he is taking Atripla (medicine for hiv treatment which is said to reduce the viral load to undectable in most cases).
I freaked out and bought lamivudine/zidovudine 150/300mg as a preventive measure (I'm travelling so that was my option). What are my risks? Am I overreacting?

I am straight male 28 years old. On may 20, I had one possible exposure with involve with broken condom with KTV girl in Cambodia. I asked the girl about her HIV status she replied to me, "I want you feel scary for couple months". I told my friend about incident then he went to ask the girl to test and it came back negative. 12 hours after incident I was prescribed PEP for a month.
So I have a ob appointment in an hour, I have severe anemia, my ob told me I'll need a blood transfusion following labor immediately, my husband is in the army in another state right now so its just my 5yr old twins and I. He will be sent home the moment I go into labor. with my anemia being so bad I get headaches often and am falling asleep allllllllll the v time and when awake just tired... I get help from family but urs still hard and I knowthe bbloid transfusion and iron.
