zelnorm and recall

Has anyone that has gastricparesis tried Zelnorm? It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help.

I have IBS and have taken Bentyl and Zelnorm, my doctor took me off the Zelnorm because he said, it was a dangerous drug. Is this true ?

since I have not stopped using the bathroom, all day and throughout the night, if i eat or drink anything I have to run to the bathroom within minutes and I have pains and bloatiness in my stomache. this has never happened before when I take the medication. I am afraid to leave the house and I have lost 5 lbs. any suggestions?

stool softeners need to be taken. I just LOVED Zelnorm, and was very upset when it was taken away. I've been using an herbal colon cleanse tablet every night, but one is apparently NOT enough. Two are too much. I was not aware there are drugs available for IBS with constipation since Zelnorm. Once I was given IBS meds for DIARRHEA, and THAT was disastrous. I want to thank you for your input and making me realize the obvious: my current methods aren't working! I NEEDED TO HEAR THAT!

There does not seem to be much available for my gastroparesis, since Reglan made me sick, Amitiza is not covered by my insurance, and I have no idea if Novardis will accept me to go on Zelnorm. All this and I am only 22 and my 19 year old brother also has gastroparesis. What do you do to deal with gastroparesis and its effects? Any recommendations?

I have recently have been diagnosed with Diabetic enteropathy of the colon and my Gastroenterologist has prescribed Zelnorm for this condition.Has this medication been effective in treating Diabetic enteropathy snd what are the gratest side effects? Thank you.

I have had every test available for constipation and intestinal pain. The last time I had a normal bm? I lost track. Too long to remember. Frankly, I am not even sure why I am typing this. Total desperation? Thinking of wasting more time at ER? I would love to go over there and sit for hours so I can be told to eat more fruit.

I have also been diagnosed with IBS, and have tried Phenobarbitol, Dycyclomine, and a few other meds. Dycyclomine is the only medication that I have found that works, most of the time. I am not sure what your diet is, but after 10 years I am sure you have discovered that staying away from certain foods also helps, especially coffee or anything spicy.

This looks like "official" matter. What meds are in question? Colonoscopy showed something? IBS is not a disease at all, and there's no drugs for IBS, as I know (my opinion). Zelnorm was even withdrawn from the (U.S.) market last year, now it might be back again.

His sugar level, while not fasting was 46, and was discovered during blood testing. He is and has not felt well for a year or more. Diabetes and gastroparesis sometimes go hand in hand. Ask your doctor about Reglan. It is one of the cheaper medicines and works for my husband. Good luck.

scared because i had a mamagram last thursday and just found a message on my machine that i need call dr they want to talk to me about it. i had a bioposy 15 years ago and she didnt put a sticker on it like they normally do, could that have shown up and it be nothing ?

Slings are great if used right!!! The sling that was recalled studies were done on it years ago back in 2007 and the company knew that it had a suffocation risk. The babies head shoudl always be out of the sling and the baby should never be curled in a C position laying nor upright! That is the problems not the slings.

I then went to see the doctor to get the results of my tests and he said he could see nothing suspicious on my results and discharged me, but today i got a letter from the hospital for a repeat Mammogram, why could this be? when the doctor told me everything was ok. Im very very worried now.
