Avatar f tn Lots of walking and a lot of yoga! There's videos for exercises for first trimester, 2nd trimester, and 3rd. You could also check with your doctor to see what works best for you and just a heads up if you start doing this early in your pregnancy it shouldn't be hard as you get bigger! Good luck!
10033740 tn?1458081962 I just recently heard about pregnancy yoga. I'm thinking about buying a couple DVDs so that I can do this at home. I'm currently a stay at home mom, 12wks + 3, with my second child after 9yrs. I just wanna stay active and also fit for labor. Anybody try it before?
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga can help a lot. Until you get to a class try some cat/cow, pigeon, and hamstring stretches. You can find lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do them. I'm 22 weeks and still work out and do yoga. Have had plenty of symptoms but hardly any back pain.

Avatar f tn Hey congratulations on the pregnancy :) and I watch the yoga videos for pregnant women on YouTube and do them daily for 30 minutes. It's helped with some back pain and also helps me sleep. If you just wanna try them I would suggest you first watch the ones online before you invest money in classes.
Avatar f tn I usually look up youtube videos on prenatal cardio, yoga, etc. They have a big variety of videos with pregnant instructors showing you how to do the workouts and you just follow along with them just like any other workout videos. Best of luck to you!
Avatar f tn Im 40+2, having a sweep tomorrow morning. I really dont want one.. ive watched videos and it looks very uncomfy and my cousin says it makes you ache with period pain etc. I just want my waters to break! So anyway i got a yoga ball, it gave me intence pressure on my pubic bone after about 30 mins of using it so i stopped. Is this meant to happen or??
1846163 tn?1331048748 Also recommend the yoga. There are a lot of videos on you tube that target certain areas which I found helpful. When your muscles are stronger, a really good therapeutic massage is very helpful too. Wishing you a quick recover.
Avatar m tn She wrote number of articles and runs her own yoga system claiming to cure Hashimoto’s disease. She even mentions that she cured her own thyroid although her thyroid looks “ample” even to the naked eye (just check her videos!). It is very common when traditional medicine is stuck on old treatment methods, the “new” methods are growing like mushrooms after radioactive rain!
649848 tn?1534633700 Well, Ranaesheart suggested the other day that I do a post about yoga, since I suggest it whenever someone new comes into the community, so I'm going to give it a shot. I must confess, I am definitely a novice with yoga myself, but I learn more as I go along. I know there are several different kinds of yoga, ranging from what I do, which is slow and deliberate to another type that is very physical. Each kind of yoga has its own name and no, I don't know them all.
Avatar f tn I do yoga and I just watch videos on YouTube.
1088217 tn?1301925756 And i talked to my ob about it and he said since im just home doing nothing i should tried yoga so he gave me this ad and it said gentle yoga and is also for high risk pregnancies but is $118 for like 1 or 2 sessions im not sure so then i found out that at the hospital they give classes too for free so they fax me this paper saying that even with my a dr note is not guarentee that is safe for me to exercise so that kind of threw me off.
Avatar f tn I read that nipple stimulation works better than what you would think, google videos and do that.
Avatar f tn Anyone doing prenatal yoga and can recommend a good video? Today YouTube didn't want to load and it was irritating me, so I wanted to see I'd anyonw knows of any good videos. Before I got pregnant I was weight lifting 3 times a week and running 3 times times a week due to a previous miscarriage I want to scale back my work outs till I know everything is ok.
572651 tn?1530999357 Want to try yoga in the quiet and privacy of your own home? There is a free MyMSYoga program dvd ad that keeps flashing on my screen here at MedHelp. I have this DVD and it is very good. The program is sponsored by BioGen and you don't have to be one of their patients to request this resource. If the ad isn't popping up for you, here is the link for more information and to order a copy for your home use. http://www.msactivesource.com/ms-yoga.
1149046 tn?1264361586 Regarding eating, I fully agree with Barb - it all boils down to being sensible. Eat reasonable amounts, eat healthy snacks often (fruit, carrot sticks, etc), stay clear of fats, stay clear of sugar. It really is pretty simple in theory - getting it done is the tricky part ;) As for exercise, what matters most is that you pick something you enjoy and do it with regularity.
Avatar f tn as far as exercising and stretching I think walking is always great and you can also find pregnancy yoga videos on YouTube and stuff that works great to kind of keep you limber and not so stiff all the time.
Avatar f tn Yoga yoga yoga!!!! Make sure it's prenatal though. Its so good for you and your babies :) helps in labor and delivery too!
Avatar f tn The best place to start is with the diet.... replace the fatty foods with fresh/frozen veggies. Most non starchy veggies have so few calories that they are considered "free", meaning you can eat all you want, without adding unwanted calories. Just don't load them down with cream or cheese sauces, etc. Eat plenty of lean protein, either in the form of lean meats, chicken, fish, eggs, etc. Opt for low fat dairy, including milk, yogurt, cheese.
