It helps so much to relax and calm you down because it works on the happy endorphin's. Find a class you expecting mommy's. Many places have evening and weekend classes and they can be donation based. Meaning, you give what you can. Please give this a try.
Avatar f tn Check the gym's class schedule and sign up for a beginner-level class. Many gyms have a wide selection of group classes that include yoga, aerobics, step aerobics and dance-style workouts such as Zumba. Joining a class for beginners can help if you feel unsure of how to proceed with your workout. Remember, you're likely not the only gym newbie in the class. As you exercise in a class, you might feel more confident and even find a future workout partner.

Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga can help a lot. Until you get to a class try some cat/cow, pigeon, and hamstring stretches. You can find lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do them. I'm 22 weeks and still work out and do yoga. Have had plenty of symptoms but hardly any back pain.
6725113 tn?1392847526 This is my first pregnancy. I've had TERRIBLE lower back pain (sciatic nerve pain). It literally hurt to sneeze! Lol I'm 16 weeks. I just started prenatal yoga and walking a few times a week. OMG... It has done wonders. I was ready to try a chiropractor & acupuncture if the yoga didn't work, but so far it's working. If you do try a yoga class make sure it is specifically a prenatal class.
Avatar f tn I would start off easy with walking everyday, increasing slowly until you can walk two miles slowly then start walking briskly. I am overweight and 40 with fimbrmaygia. anemia and asthma. I started slowly and have added swimming to my daily workout. I find the water helps with the muscle pain. Water arobiecs is also a safe bet because the water helps by lessoning the impact on the joints.
Avatar m tn Thanks everyone for the replies! Selma - I have not had surgery yet. I had not had a problem with my chiari until this past year. My symptoms have been getting progressively worse, and I've been feeling progressively worse...which, come to think of it, could be a result of the yoga (?). I have an appointment with my neuro back home in Canada a few weeks from now...not sure if he'll suggest surgery or not. I think what you are all saying is very reasonable.
Avatar f tn So today is my 7th day off hydros, my first yoga class in a year not taking pills and my teacher felt inspired to do the entire class with liver care, liver detox - how fortuitous that pushed myself to go tonight.
