1420847 tn?1289326502 As for chakras, the lotus position is designed specifically to open the chakras, or at least cross-legged if you can't get in the lotus. Now, this is all spiritual theory, so again, make up your own practice -- whatever works. The rosary is a Catholic meditation, and that's usually done standing. There are walking meditations. Sufis meditate by twirling. Orthodox Jews meditate by what's called dovining, or bending over repeatedly in prayer. Whatever works.
7729616 tn?1393795492 There are machines that purport to find and test chakras, but really, chakras are a way of explaining the world, not something that actually exists -- we have learned to cut open the body and look around. It's more the theory of the energy in the body and the world and whether you're in or out of balance. So I wouldn't take a reflexologist's word for any of this.
2198453 tn?1343244740 Have you ever tried yoga or meditation? As corny and hippie as it sounds you can redirect a lot of negative energy. Not only that but when I do yoga my mind goes completely blank. Cleansing for your soul. I've always enjoyed yoga and working out, both can be very beneficial for many reasons, one being getting this good natural endorphins going!! For that hour, I'm in complete lighted darkness if that makes any sense. Worth a shot.
1926359 tn?1331588139 Hi All- I have discovered this wonderful guided meditation. It is called Yoga Nidra and is meant for those dealing with addiction and chronic pain. I just did it and after a hellish morning of pain where no meds would help, I feel much better and may even be able to function. I think it would be a powerful tool for those of you that are in detox hell right now, for those of you that are dealing with chronic pain issues, anxiety issues, or even just normal stress.
Avatar m tn I am a gay male who had penetrative sex. I was the receiver of this. Condom used but felt wrong and then slipped off. I have an appointment to get tested and in UK, and I understand it also does the P24 antigen test. The appt I have is for 18 days after the event, I am wondering if I should be leaving it another week so that it will be 28 days. Would this be more accurate.
10456991 tn?1427890197 s hard but finding a way to even yourself out helps. For some people it is meditation, some yoga, some music, some playing with their animals, some aromatherapy, some going for a walk, some reading a devotional or uplifting quotes. But try to catch it before you lose it. Try to take note of the signs and switch your mind set before you sink deep into the tears.
Avatar f tn Try meditation before you sleep. And in the mornings. Simple 5-15mins will do. I think it's more nasal. You will notice the difference. Give it a month. It's said when breathing issues occur in nose or throat- it's due to the individual needing grounding. A lot of women suffer from this just before and through their monthly cycle. It's the lower based chakras(energy centres) of the body. They require activation at a certain speed. They could be over active or under active.

Avatar m tn I usually do not address this in posts but since you are into yoga perhaps you are familiar with the energy centers in your body, your chakras. Chakra clearing can be extremely therapeudic and I would definately encourage you to check it out.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
