Avatar f tn Hi, a lot of the yoga moves bothered me also. What I do is just the breathing and the simple moves that don't hurt my back. I pick and choose.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Joy and I'm the community leader over in two of our pregnancy communities (18-34 Pregnancy and Teen Pregnancy Concerns). No, I'm not pregnant! But I'm still blessed to be the CL over there. The fact is that I'm actually trying to lose 50lbs. Husband and I started a WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE (wrote about it in one of my journals if anyone is interested in doing this with a loved one or friend).
Avatar f tn I am in the same quandry now! Dr. Kula in New York accepted me and I have appt May 5th, but doesnt take my insurance. Dr. Heffez in Wisconsin has reviewed my records and made me an appt on May 5th TOO (lol), then 20 minutes later Dr. Hampf's office called and said he reviewed my records and wants to see me too!!!! Dr. Kula and Dr. Heffez are both a 2+ hour plane trip, Dr. Hampf is a 6 hour car trip. I want the best fo ME and my personality. Dr.

Avatar f tn Hi ladies! I accidentally posted in the wrong group smh so let me tell u a little about myself. I am 23. I just found out that I am pregnant with my first baby jan 31 and I am so excited about going to the doc tomorrow to get it confirmed! Im shocked and overwhelmed with emotion because I am graduating with my bachelors in May and was going to apply for grad school! But now all I can think about is starting my family.
Avatar f tn Hi ladies! Maybe I'm the last person to discover this but I was shopping yesterday for sports bras I can sleep in - my boobs are sorest in the morning when I wake up. I'm petite but boobs are big, but the problem with most sports bras is they are meant for sports, hello, so they actively compress. I stumbled upon what turned out to be a yoga bra ($5 on clearance!) and it's PERFECT. Not a lot of fabric or compression but just enough support for sleeping and lounging.
Avatar f tn Im 34+2 is it okay for me to be doing yoga ? My babies prefectly healthy and i am to, does anyone know ?

Avatar f tn Is beginner yoga safe while pregnant? Or would I have to do yoga for pregnant women?
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar n tn i want to ask that if yoga therapy is the best way of losing weight.
Avatar f tn Hi ladies. I am 37 weeks with #3, dilated to 1.5 and 50% effaced. Today I bought one of those big exercise balls to bounce on, hoping to get things progressed. Anyone have experience with this to share?
1587684 tn?1296927270 Hi...I do not have a syrinx, but had surgery to help prevent the formation of one.Yes, they can continue to grow, but they can remain at the same size for a long time too. Go to a true chiari specialist to see how this syrinx is impacting u and ur overall health.
738075 tn?1330575844 I've lurked occasionally in the last few weeks, but unfortunately, I've been working too hard, both at work, and keeping my own health up, to actively participate. I'm sorry for that. Truth be told, I've still never recovered from my last flair last November, and I'm weak, spastic and exhausted. I finally got an appointment with an MS specialist up at UCSF. I have just two pressing questions for her. 1) When does the "remitting" part come in?
1282925 tn?1286412039 Hi everyone! I just found this forum about 2-3 nights ago and I am sure glad that I did! This is a great site and I am learning so much here. About me, I am a 41 year old mom of 4 kids and a yes, life is busy busy busy! My oldest daughter is quite overweight (she is 14 years old, 5' 6", 215 lbs) and this is what started the weight-loss journey for both of us.
