Avatar f tn There are many Neurological disorders and many MS mimics so it may not be MS. It is not common for children to get MS but it does happen. I got MS at two years old. Unfortunately back then they did not know children could get MS. Because they could not figure it and they knew my brain was involved I was put under Psychiatric. Now days they had Pediatric Centers of Excellence in different areas of the country.

Avatar f tn My hospital doesn't provide anything, keep you in 5 nights for a csection even tho its my 2nd, and expect you to wear normal day clothes and go for little walks to the cafe and garden etc so I've packed yoga pants and loose tops, pyjamas, flat shoes and slippers, black underwear in the next size up for comfort and 'leakage', maternity bras, maternity pads, breastpads, a nice body wash for my first shower, hair brush, shampoo/conditioner, make up, toothbrush and toothpaste.

Avatar f tn There are a lot of things you can cook that are delicious, low calorie and good for you. Now is the time to teach your children good eating habits, as well. Have you ever looked into stir fries? Veggies, lean meat, mushrooms, etc all put together and sauteed... Make veggies (roasted, steamed, grilled) the center of your meals, then be sure to add a lean protein, in the form of lean meats, chicken, fish, low fat dairy, etc.
Avatar f tn I am a professional horticulturist. I'm degreed but have been advising folks with my job for 12 years so have answered just about every weird question there is. Once you look it up a few times it sticks with you. I'm also an avid gardener and being in treatment is just about killing me since I can do so little in the garden. About all I've done this year is clean up the leaves and throw them down for mulch, fertilize the fruit trees, plant some tomatoes and...and nothing else!
Avatar m tn has any one noticed an increasing rate in children with ADD? as a child i had a mild form. I am now 20 and my little brother 9, he has quite a bad case and really struggles in school with his friendships and school work. these are probably quite common issues as i experienced a similar situation. now when I meet his friends round the family home i notice they are all showing signs of misbehaviour, ill concentration and hyperactivity!

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.
Avatar f tn Omg it's a life saver. I've been doing yoga for years & it's so good for your body but most importantly your mental state. I'm only 9 weeks but plan to keep practicing throughout my pregnancy. Just tell the teacher you are pregnant if its not obvious & they will give you options if there is anything you should avoid. Stick with it you won't regret it.

973741 tn?1342342773 I think it is really helpful to have an idea of things that CAN help with Anxiety naturally and depression too. Here are some ideas I've either read about or come up with on my own. Please add to them. So--- we learn how to cope often from our parents. If we have calm, stress free parents, we learn through watching them. If we have stressball parents, we learn that too. My son was born a stressed baby, colic from the get go. So, his anxiety just is and always was and NO!
