Avatar f tn I was really ashamed of what I did and I went to the doctor almost 3 months later. He told me it was a yeast infection and prescripted me a cream. Almost 3 weeks with treatment and they arent cured. Is this really a yeast infection or it can be something else? Symptoms: red dots, red and white spots, some testicular inflamation and a little pain (sometimes, not always).
Avatar f tn Guys can indeed get yeast infections. Men have yeast in their bodies as well and have the potential to have yeast overgrowth. So sometimes, though not that often, if their female partner has sex with them and she has a yeast infection, he can potentially be affected by it.
Avatar n tn I have only had sex with 2 guys, one of which is my boyfriend of a year. Almost every time we have sex or fool around, it is painful. I have had yeast infections in the past and have used over the counter meds and even the pills, which tends to help for a while, but it never seems to get completely better. My vaginal area is just sore and I think I produce enough lube, but sex or touching can make it feel raw and sore. Sex is uncomfortable sometimes.
Avatar n tn Well I have posted a topic a week or so ago regarding a recently diagnosis of a male yeast infection. The symptoms and scenarios matched according to my doctor. The specifically located white patch/redness on the tip of my penis has not subsided even after following the treatment directed for me to do. Diflucan x 1( recently have taken a second one to see if it changes anything) monstat x3 daily for 2 weeks, selsun blue x1 daily for 1 week, and acidopholus x1 daily for 2 weeks.
Avatar f tn Can my boyriend also have yeast infection? he has no symptoms.. but if he doesnt get treatment will he then pass it back to me when i am cured??
Avatar n tn You can get a bacterial infection from having sex with someone who has one or just from having poor hygiene in general. What type of bacterial infection do you mean?
Avatar f tn Now having sex with this second guy kind of scares me, each time I have sex (unprotected) with him i contract a yeast infection. I contracted my first yeast infection with him. I also tested positive for hpv at 17, my question//Is it common for men to pass a yeast infection without knowing he's infected?
Avatar m tn Anyone have any advice? I have a yeast infection and my Dr told me monsitat is safe to take so I bought the oral capulase and took it then thought after maybe that isn't safe and I should have got the suppository kind. Any know if it's ok to take the Oral medicine? Even though what is done is done.
Avatar n tn 10 months later, (Dec. 07) days after performing unprotected oral sex on two men, white bumps appeared on my my throat, (which was very sore). My roommate had also seen white bumps on her throat about a month before this. I went to a clinic and got antibiotics for what I was told was an "infection," which cleared it up within 10 days. The exact DAY after being off antibiotics, I woke up with a yeast infection, and took Monistat 3.
Avatar m tn Is it possible for a man and woman to "pass a yeast infection" back and forth? My wife had a yeast infection. She used Monistat-7 and her symptoms went away. We had sex. The next day (and for about 5 days after) the glans (head) of my penis and the frenulum area (under the ridge of the glans) had a red rash that was mildly itchy and rather sensitive. It went away on its own. We had sex again, and a few days later my wife had symptoms of her yeast infection back.
Avatar n tn is often used in the UK to mean yeast infection in general, whereas on this side of the Atlantic we tend to use thrush to mean oral infection only. It wasn't always that way; the change in the US seems to have evolved in connection with awareness of oral yeast as a possible indicator of AIDS. (There is nothing in your situation that raises HIV/AIDS concerns.) Whether yeast causes urethritis in men also is subject to differences of opinion on each side of the Atlantic.
Avatar m tn I have a stubborn penile fungal infection for over 2.5 years and now several months ago it has spread onto my face and scalp. I have consulted several doctors who have prescribed me anti-fungal creams and oral medications which has helped me very little, but not able to cure it permanently. Once I stop applying the anti-fungal cream within 2 days I notice red bumps on my penis head & within 4 or 5 days I see a thick yellow cheese like mold on my penis head.
Avatar m tn Hello, You are right in thinking that it can be a male yeast infection. Men yeast infection can develop due to the overgrowth of Candida albicans. It can be transmitted through intercourse but may develop due in diabetics, weakened immunity and when taking a course of antibiotics also. Some of the symptoms of this condition are irritation and soreness in the head of the male genital, white curdy discharge and redness in the head of the penis.
Avatar f tn About 3 months ago I had a major yeast infection by accidentally using moisturizer for lube. This went away and I had a vaginal swab test done and a visual test done. I came back clean and negative for any STDs. Therefore I was STD free. The doctor did tell me I had a vaginal skin tag. I recently noticed some bumps on one side of my lower vaginal opening. They are not itchy, and they do not burn.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for the info Redilma! He did wear a condom during sex btw but I have another question. Since I don't have any symptoms at all, when I use the creams and the tablets, how will I know I treated the yeast infection and it actually went away. To be honest I don't even know if I have a yeast infection. It has been two weeks since we had sex. I feel perfect and everything looks fine too. Is it possible to have a vaginal yeast infection and not have any symptoms?
