i have gone to the doctors for 3 months trying to figure outwhy this cough for so long. My father was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer in his lungs 2 years ago and my grandmother on mothers side died from lung cancer also. This really bothers me. I have been on 4 rounds of different antobiotics, nasal sprays,mucinex dm, xyzal,delsem, robitussin, prednezone and I also take protonix for gerd. Nothing seems to work I am 37 years old and for the most part have been healthy.
I've been on Xyzal tablets for 5 years. was given these tablets because I suffered from itchy and runny nose. when I do not take the tablet for more than a day i experience itchiness all over my body especially on the arms and legs. please can you advise whether this is a withdrawal symptom?
But the past few days, some hives have started to come back. I have been taking benadryl along with the xyzal as needed. I was wondering if I could take 2 xyzal a day instead o 1. The only other medication that I am on is ortho cyclin birth control. Would I be okay if I took a 5 mg of xyzal early in the morning and then another in the late afternoon? Thanks in advance!
Two months ago I was sitting in a meeting and for a very brief moment I blacked out. I lost all vision for less than a second and then was back, but felt like I might pass out for the rest of the day. That feeling has morphed into lightheadedness some days, dizziness, headache, depending on the day, but has been with me almost every day for the past two months. Doctor suggested sinus infection and gave me steroids plus antibiotics.
My 12 year old son started itching without a rash uncontrollably shortly after getting out of the shower. I started about 3-4 weeks ago and is very painful for him and painful for me to watch him with these episodes. About 2 or 3 years ago at the same time of year (end of August beginning of September) he had this happen and it lasted about 4 to 6 weeks. The dermatologist as well as his allegist both say it's classic Cholergic Urticaria. He is on Zytec in the am and Periactin at night.
I have been dealing with hives since 2000. All i have to do is be in the sun and i break out. I have tried Zyrtec, Allegra, Singular and now i'm on Xyzal. The Xyzal i only tried one time and woke up the next morning feeling like i was drunk and hit by a train. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. I am so sick of these hives. I'm getting married in August and have a terrible farmers tan and i am asking for any advice on what to do.
for 7 months i was on 40 - 50 mg of ultralan DAILY (it seemed to work better than Prednisone), 2 atarax tablets, 3-4 Xyzal (or zyrtec) daily. if i even tried to lessen the dose then my lips, tongue, eyes and throat would swell. the hives lessened but never fully went away. my weight ballooned and i was in a constant stupor and NOT HAPPY. oh noooo. eventually i started bi-weekly sessions of acupuncture which really really helped and finally i was off the medication.
The doctor told me to stop using it immediately after he heard that my body got some allergic reaction toward the drug. The doctor gave me XYZAL-sample medicine- for itching. He gave me four pills and plus a Cholestorel medicine called NIASPAN. He said if itching goes away after four days of using the XYZAL, then I will try Niaspin and see how my body will react.
Now, after using XYZAL for two days, my body is still itching, there is no diffrence yet. I got two more pills of XYZAL.
Please help! I am a mother to an almost 4 year old boy with severe behavior problems. He spits on people, kicks, hits, screams 'shut up'. He does this on a daily basis and often without warning. He is in preschool and even acts this way to his teachers and classmates. He spits on his teacher, in the past has played in his feces (happened a few times months ago), calls me ugly names. He has broken windows in our home and broken my car windshield.
My 3 year old doesn't speak. When he was around 9 months to a year and a half, he would say mama, baba, hi, bye and he would repeat words. Now he doesn't say any of it. He sometimes says word here and there or singing when I have nursery rhymes on TV but, only when he thinks no one is listening. It's weird to me. Sometime he'll see something and say it's name but if u ask him to say it again he won't. He seems like a perfectly normal child.
Please help! I've had a low grade fever ranging from 99 to 101 for a year. It is every single day. Sometimes ibuprofen and tylenol won't break it. I've had labs for past year even including arthritis panel, hepatic panel, inflammation and your basic labs. Thyroid, even T3 and T4 tested for thyroid storms. I just recently had a CT of head and sinus, which revealed enlarged ventricles hut that was said to be genetic. Everything comes back normal.
Was on antibiotics for 4 months straight, last year. This year Feb/March been on antibiotics Amox/Clav. Each time, I complete course of antibiotics, I begin sneezing up a storm !! My eyes feel horrible, swollen, pressure, ithcy, etc.... Opthomology did a very in depth exam of my eyes twice, could not find anything abnormal. Since last year, I've tried Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, and now Xyzal. No allergy meds works, I still sneeze up a storm.
My 7 year old son has been taking 10 MG of Adderall daily for the past 2 1/2 months. Recently his Dr. RXd him Clonidine to help him sleep. Since he started taking the med Adderall I have noticed him starting to tic. After discussing this with his Dr at a med check, his Dr assured me that it is normal, but within the last week or so it has gotten worse.

Then recently it has just been red patches that are around my nose and under my arms; with occasional patches on my arms, legs. I have been to my internist weekly since the last week of July. She sent me to a dermatologist who I have been seeing for a month now. No one can figure out what it is.
