Does anyone take Xalatan? I picked up my new bottle of Xalatan today and I noticed the pharmacist didn't take it from the refrigerator, but took it off the shelf where she keeps all her prescriptions. I asked her if she shouldn't have had it in the refrigerator since yesterday when I called in the refill. She said one day out of the refrigerator would not harm the unopened Xalatan. When I got home I put it in my fridge.

Is anyone putting their glaucoma eye drops in the fridge? If so, what is temperature where you store them in the fridge? My opthamologist said it is okay to store the drops in the fridge so that they become cool and therefore you know when the drops enter your eyes. Anyone?

l have been taking Xalatan for a year and there has'nt been any side effects except my eyes feeling a bit dry l have developed some floaters but my doctor says it most likley has nothing to do with the xalatan , but the past few weeks it has been starting to sting or feel a bit , sometimes l put in two drops at a time instead of one , could putting too much in cause this soreness, is there an eye drop such as a lubricant eye drop l could take that relieves the soreness.

Hi all I have just started using Insulin and chose the Pen for its ease of use and of storage. My understanding is that I should store my extra pens in the fridge but the one I'm using is fine at room temperature. Fortunately the ambient temps where I live just don't get too hot or too cold. However, I am traveling this month to Costa Rica where it will be much warmer. The insert says to store it below 80 degrees.

I wonder if anyone was ever using the brand name Xalatan and then had to switch to the Greenstone generic brand (supposedly made by same company- Pfizer). If so has it worked okay? My insurance might not cover the brand name any longer, which I have been taking for about 30 years, and wants me to switch to generic. (Insurance company and pharmaceutical companies are driving me crazy with their prices, etc.

Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash. Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids. Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream with little result. Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief. I tried using Xalatan in AM rather than at nite, no change. Tried just Trusopt AM and early PM, no change.

It could depend on what temperature it was exposed to. For example, if left in a hot car in Florida, it could easily go over 100, as opposed to room temperatures in the upper 60's. Was this more than one injection? They might be willing to replace them for you.

Hi, my doctor would like me to have SLT in one eye (has a test) to lower my IOP (Xalatan is not enough apparently)... I have been using Xalatan for the last 6 months for my eye pressure which was 23 and now is around 17. Over the last 3-4 weeks I have eye pain in one of the eyes, consistent dull ache. I visited my Optho and had eye dilated and checked and everything looks fine. He changed the drops to Travatan. But the pain is still present after using travatan for like 2 weeks. What else can be the cause? What else should I try to find out?

But, specifically the guidance says "Room temperature storage up to 30 days, if refrigeration is unavailable" Note: if refrigeration is unavailable Personally, I feel this does not include varying room temperatures and I would not advise anyone to leave it out in hi (hot) temperatures. But, that's my personal opinion. Would only feel comfortable to do something like that if I knew the temperatures at which the forumula/medicine would change.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma four years ago and was immediately put on Xalatan once a day both eyes. Two years later was taken off Xalatan and put on Cosopt & Alphagan, twice a day, Lumigan once a day, both eyes. For the past two years my diopter went from -4.00 both eyes, to -9.50 left eye, -7.00 right eye, as of today, in steady progression. I can already tell I'm probably not seeing 20/40 presently and need stronger contacts.
