I'm on generic cosopt and recently started xelpros.

t have had it in the refrigerator since yesterday when I called in the refill. She said one day out of the refrigerator would not harm the unopened Xalatan. When I got home I put it in my fridge. Would the one day out of the fridge in the pharmacy have damaged the Xalatan. Some people have told me that "It is only for prolonged storage before opening that it makes any difference." Can anyone help?

Also about what you said before about eye pressure changing hourly, when l was first diagnosed with glaucoma my eye pressure was 33, and l started using xalatan , when l went back 3 months later it was down to around 20 then when l went back 9 months later it was still 20. Does that mean for sure xalatan has lower my eye pressure or could it be the readings were just taken at an hour of the day when my eye pressure was low and it could still be as high as 33 at other hours of the day.?

Will all these symptoms decrease in intensity and frequency as my body gets used to the drug? Lastly, will the BAC preservative in Xalatan cause any ill effects to my dry eyes or corneal health in the long term. Thank you.

Taking the Cosopt three times one day and not doubling up will not hurt you, but I recommend that you start the correct dosing of twice a day for optimal therapy and let your doctor know that you did not use it correctly for that short period of time.

Pfizer makes Xalatan. By the way, if you use pills, your MD (I doubt) will agree, because the drug is not concentrated in the eye, plus you have "systemic" side effects because the drug is running through your body (rather than staying mostly in the eye). Xalatan, and the others that are similar lower IOP more than other drug classes...you need to ask what your IOP is and see that it stays in the healthy range, since glaucoma damage can be permanent. Both the Alphagan and Xalatan can cause redness. I am sure your physician will start to decrease these drops since the pressures in your eyes are normal.

Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash. Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids. Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream with little result. Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief. have had the iridoplasty and have follow up in two weks i am still taking xalatan and timolo drops for now. what are the chances i will have to continue these drops??? what are the chances i wikl need the iridotomy.

Last few months l noticed when l am outdoors if l cover each eye with my hand on look in the distance l noticed the vision in my left eye is not as good or as sharp as my right eye. For example if l read the words on a sign 50 or 100 meters in the distance l can still read the words with my left eye but they seem slightly blurry or not as sharp as my right eye, but this is only noticable if l cover one eye at a time not with both eyes.

mjk i have had a laser iridoplasty(have plateau iris) however still have episodes of mild blurriness eye discofort and slight headaches occasionaly and still on xalatan. optholomogist have said the Laser surgery has worked and angles are no longer as narrow and pressure has dropped to 10..Does this sort of laser stop an Acute angle atack?.
