xalatan gtt

Does anyone take Xalatan? I picked up my new bottle of Xalatan today and I noticed the pharmacist didn't take it from the refrigerator, but took it off the shelf where she keeps all her prescriptions. I asked her if she shouldn't have had it in the refrigerator since yesterday when I called in the refill. She said one day out of the refrigerator would not harm the unopened Xalatan. When I got home I put it in my fridge.

l have been taking Xalatan for a year and there has'nt been any side effects except my eyes feeling a bit dry l have developed some floaters but my doctor says it most likley has nothing to do with the xalatan , but the past few weeks it has been starting to sting or feel a bit , sometimes l put in two drops at a time instead of one , could putting too much in cause this soreness, is there an eye drop such as a lubricant eye drop l could take that relieves the soreness.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING COSOPT ABOUT 8AM AND 1100AM THEN I TAKE XALATAN ABOUT 9PM WORKING THE NIGHT SHIFT.MY PRESSURES WENT FROM 30S TO TEENS IS THAT OK?TO KEEP USING THOSE TIMES OR SHOULD I TAKE A COSOPT AT 8AM XALATAN AT 11AM AND ANOTHER COSOPT AT 9PM.?

I wonder if anyone was ever using the brand name Xalatan and then had to switch to the Greenstone generic brand (supposedly made by same company- Pfizer). If so has it worked okay? My insurance might not cover the brand name any longer, which I have been taking for about 30 years, and wants me to switch to generic. (Insurance company and pharmaceutical companies are driving me crazy with their prices, etc.

I MISSED A COUPLE DOSES OF COSOPT AND XALATAN THE PAST MONTH SHOULD I JUST GO ON WITH MY REGULAR SCHEDULE/

Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash. Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids. Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream with little result. Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief. I tried using Xalatan in AM rather than at nite, no change. Tried just Trusopt AM and early PM, no change.

Hi, my doctor would like me to have SLT in one eye (has a test) to lower my IOP (Xalatan is not enough apparently)... I've red a couple of studies on SLT and some pretend that SLT is coutner indicated for Juvenile glaucoma (it could raise IOP instead of lowering it) I'm 31 years old... Any thoughts ?

Dear Sir, I have retina detachments in both eyes after surgeries I had eye pressure problems but on last visit to doctor on wednesday my eye pressure were normal 14 (Right eye) and 9 (Left Eye) I am using using Cospt, Alphagan, Xalatan( Twice a day and Pilocarpine 2% six hourly.

How much can Xalatan lower IOPs by? If it is not enough to get into safe figures, can other prostaglandins be tried? Is it realistic to hope that some of them will work for more than 2 or 3 years or is tolerance almost always built up to the drugs?

I have been using Xalatan for the last 6 months for my eye pressure which was 23 and now is around 17. Over the last 3-4 weeks I have eye pain in one of the eyes, consistent dull ache. I visited my Optho and had eye dilated and checked and everything looks fine. He changed the drops to Travatan. But the pain is still present after using travatan for like 2 weeks. What else can be the cause? What else should I try to find out?

How long would you say it would take pressure in eye to increase from normal to 50. I am on timoptol and xalatan at moment.

m 32 weeks preg i went for my chk up and they found some sugar in my urine and also some UTI. i had my GTT at 28 weeks and it was -ive which means that i hve nt developed Gestational diabetes. I cant understand that if my GTT ws -ive y did i get sugar in my urine now? The annoying thing is the sample i gave to the hospital for further investigation they have no results for it in their system. So now i hve to go again in two days time to get it chked again till then i will be in agony.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma four years ago and was immediately put on Xalatan once a day both eyes. Two years later was taken off Xalatan and put on Cosopt & Alphagan, twice a day, Lumigan once a day, both eyes. For the past two years my diopter went from -4.00 both eyes, to -9.50 left eye, -7.00 right eye, as of today, in steady progression. I can already tell I'm probably not seeing 20/40 presently and need stronger contacts.

Did your doctor order a GTT? If you get a GTT, make sure you get a 6-hour GTT, not the 2-hour GTT used to diagnose diabetes. Do you ever check your blood pressure during these episodes? Some people have hypotension and actually need medication to keep their blood pressure up. You might want to get a BP kit. You can also get a finger-stick glucose kit pretty cheaply and do your own GTT.

Till now I have no history of either diabetes or hypertension. I am 26 weeks pregnant and have to undergo glucose tolerance test (GTT). It is usually advised to take the test early morning as metabolism falls in afternoon due to diurnal rhythm. My problem is that I have an upside routine for the past 5 months, I sleep during day around 8-9 AM and wake up at 5-6 PM in the evening. Can I take my GTT in evening, I assume that my biological clock is now set according to my sleep cycle?

I failed my 1 hr gtt and passed my 3 hr with flying colors in my last pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much about it (easier said than done, I know). As for the iron, I just had to take an over the counter supplement twice daily. I could have gotten a prescription, but otc was much cheaper.

Hi ladies i have gtt today and I have been told not to eat anything befoe the test. So I just want to know is it OK to have some kind of drink. I havnt been told about that.

Sitting in the doctors waiting to do the GTT. Bored.. and they're so late doing this I'm almost 31 weeks, surely that'll effect the results?

i had my glucose tolerance test (gtt) today, i have had it with all of my preganacies and have never had a problem, but today about 30 mins after the second lot of blood was taken i felt sooooo ill, i was very tired, but then i got really light headed and dizzy and neally passed out, i had to eat some chocolate and have some sweet juice pretty quick, i have never expereinced this before, so i am a bit worried about the results of this test, has anyone here had this test done and felt like this

today we had a doc appt and had to do the 3 hr. gtt. cause my one hr came back high. and my little guy has been measuring big im only 32 wks and im measuring 36 so im a little nervous about that. i asked my doc. if we could get another u/s just to get some real measurment to see how big he really is but he wants to wait till the gtt. results come back.. we did get to set our c-section date today as well so my little guy will be here on 5-30-09 if not before.

Hi, I took a OGCT – Oral Glucose Challenge Test during the 27th week of my pregnancy and the result was 153 (borderline was 139-140). Now I am advised to go through Modified GTT test (3 blood samples in 2 hours). I am very worried about the results of Modified GTT test. Please let me know what I should do if the Modified GTT test results also come more than normal...

I went for my 24 week scan last week and was told there is to much fluid around my baby I'm very worried because I don't understand what this means I have my gtt on monday but have no signs of diabeties and didn't have it in my 1st pregnancy can anyone help me please
