I hear music as if you would if you were listening to a radio. I wake up in the middle of the night by the music and need sleeping pills to get to sleep. My doctor keeps telling me that is is racing thoughts? I have been put on large doses of Haldol which helped but made me look spaced out! I have a bsn degree and want to get on with my life. Can anyone suggest something? The doctor I go to and his associates are all puzzeled with this.
YES I get this aswell, repetitive music all the time unless I am doing something ...if I watch a show the next few days I hear the music from it all the time ....I am trying to research online find out what I can do about it .

I have bipolar disorder. I have been hearing music for 5 years. My doctor gave me clozaril which worked on and off for the 5 years. Recently he took me off all my meds and then put me back on Clozaril. The music will not go away this time. Are there any treatments for this.
Like the "deep cut" stuff. I like the "deep cuts" station and Vault on satellite radio. The while I listened to the "Radio", it was mostly heavy metal / headbanger stuff, which is OK, but I like the older hippie rock 'n roll a little better. I give it another tune-in to check it out again.

I'm the same way. I pray through my very anxious moments. I also listen to KLOVE radio station (you can find it online) the music is so encouraging that I find it sticks with me. When I'm anxious I find myself remembering the songs. I've also read an old book by Dr. Claire Weeks on anxiety and that helped. It's old but the concepts remain true. Remember you're not alone.
I sorta have the same 'problem'...but I like it. It doesn't matter where or how I sleep, or for how long....and there is no specific time during the day/night it happens.
I just make a mental note of when I want to wake up, either from sleep or a nap...and I wake up to music. I do not even own an alarm clock.

I have had this since I was a child, I would tell my mom I heard music and she thought I was nuts. I pick up radio stations, static, and news. I was sitting in bed one morning (completely awake by the way, I was eating breakfast and drinking tea) and clear as day I heard music in my head, and a traffic report for a specific highway, then the station name as they went back to playing music. I googled the road they were talking about as well as the station name and it was in Kansas somewhere.
i hear music in my head. I call it the transistor radio in m head, and it changes stations randomly. Its mostly 60's music, when i experimented with lsd. It doesnt bother me, but i feel like i am never really alone with the music to comfort me.The problem is the same tune will repeat over and over with occasional interruptions of other tunes. i am currently taking wellbutrin which seems to have no affect on the music. I fear as i get older it may cause problems.

When I am trying to go to sleep, I will hear music in my head, is usually a song I hear from a radio that I don’t Particularly don’t even know that well. The only example I can come up with for what it sounds like is if you were to turn up a radio so loud that it’s no longer fun to listen to. i cant believe how much my lil man loves music , I wonder if he is dancing to the beat in there lol , as soon as his dad put music on he drives me insane , yesterday was 1 in the morning and we had the radio on and my lil man was going crazy hahaha .. so cute =) ! what does ur babies like ??
