Avatar f tn I still Jazzercise 4 times a week and I'm 13 weeks along. You can keep doing your pre-pregnancy workout if your body is used to it. If you're starting from scratch, try walking or water aerobics. Water aerobics is actually awesome during pregnancy! I was told no flat-on-your-back abs after the first trimester, and not to get my heart rate over 160bpm.

Eat lots of veggies, fruits and brown whole grains instead of white. Stay away from processed foods, they tend to contain a lot of sodium and added sugar. Talk to your doctor, since you are overweight, your Dr will probably recommend that you gain less than someone who started out at a healthy weight.

I don't really have any problems with working out but there are days when i can't workout because i feel so tired even though i haven't done anything strenuous. Just a few minutes ago, i was doing my step aerobics but i was already feeling so out of breath. Strength training, perform one to two sets of 10 to 15 repetitions of weight bearing exercises two to three times a week. If you don't have dumb bells then use resistance bands or machines. You can perform pushups against a wall and squats by sitting in a chair and then standing. You could join a yoga class.

I still do that and a Leisa Hart pregnancy workout video now. Congrats to you for trying to stay fit during your pregnancy! Just remember not to push it if you don't feel like it.....

Aerobics or dancing is the fastest ways to lose weight. 1 hour exercise daily. It could be cycling, jogging, or aerobics. I mean cardiovascular exercises. Don't skip meals or else you will gain weight instead. Eat healthy. Lower down your carbohydrate consumption. Intake more proteins and fresh fruits whenever you feel hungry.

It is also essential to rotate between various exercise regimens like swimming, biking, jogging, aerobics etc.
Avatar f tn You are so early I wouldn't lift any thing to heavy mama, you dont want to trigger a misscarage. I am a high risk pregnacy so I haven't been able to workout like I used to pre. pregnancy. I would stick to aerobics, walking, and eating healthy. But that just me:) Good luck to you:) take it easy, enjoy being pregnant.
