Common Questions and Answers about Will mobic get you high

mobic

Avatar m tn what is mobic? Ssgtwirtz--when did you realize you had worries about this combo of drugs? And i see this sort of question a lot about patients leaving the dr. office without full knowledge of effects. Then many times unless directly asked the same for the pharmacy! I know it should be patients responsibility but often they are occupied with more pressing concerns---pain---sickness- anxiety etc. so maybe----maybe the drs. ands pharmacists are just not taking the time for it?
Avatar f tn They work so well for pain and immflamation that it is a real shame. Some will have more of an effect than others. To note, Mobic is also an Nsaid. But perhaps has less heart effect. Here's an article I found helpful https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/heart-safer-nsaid-alternatives Tylenol? Tramadol? Physical therapy? Exercise? Those are on the list as potential options. My suggestion is to discuss this with your doctor.
Avatar m tn Yes Ive tried lyrica and it did help, however Im with a new doctor now and he didnt want to prescribe it for some reason. I didnt really get into the why not, Im just hoping this Mobic will help. But from what I understand about it, its just a stronger NSAID so Im not sure how helpful its going to be with nerve pain. I have to go get a lumbar MRI to hopefully see what the deal is.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have everything you have so I know how you are suffering. Relafen didn't do anything for my pain, plus it's bad to take any NSAID drug if you have high blood pressure. My cardiologist doesn't want me to take it. Sometimes I do use Advil, but not every day. Tylenol sometimes, but it doesn't do much either. I refuse to take Lyrica because of the weight gain thing. I am already overweight, which is bad for my bp. With my fibro, I get hand pain.
493368 tn?1209757681 Skelaxin and Relafin are two which have helped most, but go to a doctor and explain the pain you are experiencing to them! If they are a good doctor at all, they will help you to alleviate the pain with a mix of medication and physical therapy as they did with me. I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn I think you need assessment by a physical therapist, who is likely to have you fitted with some sort of leg brace, and to help you with other issues. I also think you need a decent doctor, a neuro specializing in MS. Are you on one of the MS disease-modifying drugs? I urge everyone to do this if at all possible. I hope you're getting regular MRIs.
Avatar n tn Mobic is an NSAID pain reliever (same class of drugs as ibuprofen, motrin, aleve) and not a narcotic so the addiction potential is very very low. You should be fine as long as you have no stomach issues as NSAIDS tend to aggravate those symptoms or if taken in excess, create stomach problems. Good luck to you! I think the Mobic is a much better alternative to pain management than any narcotic.
Avatar n tn It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar n tn let me know if you get any replies. i even have the mayo clinic looking into this. i do/did have cardiac issues, 11 stents, triple bypass and a stroke. the chest pain felt nearly like a cardio incident. went to my cardiologist and found that my pipes are extremely clear. thats when i started to take a different tact. the chest pain is very bad at times. sometimes while sitting i will get it lightly but if i go up a set of stairs (12) twice, i hurt so bad its almost unbearable.
1905190 tn?1321792581 s even more important that, if you are not feeling well, that you be persistent with your doctor to try and determine the exact cause/s of your ailments, whether they be from fibro or not. Remember, you know your body best and you know how you are feeling - so be completely honest with your doc about symptoms, etc. I hope you feel better soon!
Avatar n tn m concerned that your doctor went ahead and put you on prednisone without finding out the cause. You should be seen by a rheumatologist to determine what kind of arthritis or auto-immune issue is causing this. You need to treat the disease, not just the symptoms.
773755 tn?1328119777 It was about eight months i was on it. I hope this helps you out....I think that you have to weigh your options and dont stay on it long..It has side effects.....
5082295 tn?1371250911 Do you think there would be anyway for me to follow the exercises they have online for this condition? They did tests (scans) and said things in my back & spine looked fine, so he thinks that bc I had bursitis so long in my hip and cant (& couldn't) rest it very often, that muscle is very tight and obviously gets irritated more when I work bc I have to bend and kneel down a lot, so that's why it is compressing the sciatic nerve.
Avatar m tn I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop. Stress can also heighten our sensations and may contribute to your symptoms. Regards and God bless.
Avatar n tn What dose of Vit D are you taking?
1311475 tn?1274198780 now im in less pain now then I was on the methadone and now that im narcotic free I find things like regular ibuprofin actually work now so I would suggest you detox your body and start fresh keep posting for support wile you do this will try to help you thew it but consult your doctor b/4 you do anything good luck and God bless....
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar n tn ve heard that it is a pressure change either way--low to high or high to low--just any presure change. have you heard that low is worse? do you know why? of course, i live in idaho where the joke is "if you don't like the weather in idaho, wait 15 minutes and it will change." basically, we get alot of weather changes. i need to live somewhere that is more stable--if such a place exists!
176838 tn?1211460374 Thanks for all of your wonderful comments. The specialist was surprised that my primary doc didn't do any rheumatology labs. I don't think he did a HLA-B27 test so I'll ask him about that next time. I still haven't made up my mind about the mobic; I have a fear of taking new meds anyway and the fact that I can't take any motrin or excedrin migraine (I use one or the other or *both* almost every day) while on mobic I'm still unsure.
3122657 tn?1357432602 I almost hate to tell you this---mine seems to of gone away!! The minute you claim anything good with this treatment it turns on you!!! (Please achy joints don't come back) lol! I still have a bad knee that's been off & on forever. I got a spray called salonspas, they make the patches also. Its helping! But if you have real joint pain you may need to ask your Dr. about anti inflammatory drugs. One is called mobic generic for (???). Dr. Mayo (yes the real mayo!!!) had me on it.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar f tn I do not know you, but Congrats , you have come a long way. There is a drug called Mobic, that is for pain, you could ask your DR.
Avatar m tn Enough that if you are on a low sodium diet you should talk to your doctor before taking this drug. Hope this helps.
459853 tn?1283140514 If you can consult a chiropractor or a physiotherapist, then lower back and leg exercises will help reduce the pain considerably. Also, you can take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Apply local pain relief gel. Improve your posture. Lie down on a hard bed with knees folded or use a mattress on the floor. Meanwhile try and see a doctor. Take care!
