Common Questions and Answers about Mobic get you high

mobic

518798 tn?1295212279 I have never been prescribed either, but after reading this forum, I opted NOT to get the tramadol filled. I did get the mobic filled because I only take it once daily so I figured it would be okay. Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn what is mobic? Ssgtwirtz--when did you realize you had worries about this combo of drugs? And i see this sort of question a lot about patients leaving the dr. office without full knowledge of effects. Then many times unless directly asked the same for the pharmacy! I know it should be patients responsibility but often they are occupied with more pressing concerns---pain---sickness- anxiety etc. so maybe----maybe the drs. ands pharmacists are just not taking the time for it?
Avatar f tn He has been taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure a little over a year. He has been taking Naproxen for arthritis for several years. We have not been able to isolate a trigger for the Afib other than his controlled blood pressure. Now I am reading that a side effect of Naproxen use is high blood pressure. Has any one else encountered this?
Avatar f tn Hi, I have everything you have so I know how you are suffering. Relafen didn't do anything for my pain, plus it's bad to take any NSAID drug if you have high blood pressure. My cardiologist doesn't want me to take it. Sometimes I do use Advil, but not every day. Tylenol sometimes, but it doesn't do much either. I refuse to take Lyrica because of the weight gain thing. I am already overweight, which is bad for my bp. With my fibro, I get hand pain.
Avatar m tn not long enough to get addicted if they are addictive..have you tried lyrica? some have good luck with it>..
Avatar n tn It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
493368 tn?1209757681 Skelaxin and Relafin are two which have helped most, but go to a doctor and explain the pain you are experiencing to them! If they are a good doctor at all, they will help you to alleviate the pain with a mix of medication and physical therapy as they did with me. I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn I think you need assessment by a physical therapist, who is likely to have you fitted with some sort of leg brace, and to help you with other issues. I also think you need a decent doctor, a neuro specializing in MS. Are you on one of the MS disease-modifying drugs? I urge everyone to do this if at all possible. I hope you're getting regular MRIs.
1905190 tn?1321792581 s even more important that, if you are not feeling well, that you be persistent with your doctor to try and determine the exact cause/s of your ailments, whether they be from fibro or not. Remember, you know your body best and you know how you are feeling - so be completely honest with your doc about symptoms, etc. I hope you feel better soon!
Avatar n tn m concerned that your doctor went ahead and put you on prednisone without finding out the cause. You should be seen by a rheumatologist to determine what kind of arthritis or auto-immune issue is causing this. You need to treat the disease, not just the symptoms.
Avatar m tn I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop. Stress can also heighten our sensations and may contribute to your symptoms. Regards and God bless.
Avatar n tn Mobic is an NSAID pain reliever (same class of drugs as ibuprofen, motrin, aleve) and not a narcotic so the addiction potential is very very low. You should be fine as long as you have no stomach issues as NSAIDS tend to aggravate those symptoms or if taken in excess, create stomach problems. Good luck to you! I think the Mobic is a much better alternative to pain management than any narcotic.
Avatar n tn What dose of Vit D are you taking?
Avatar n tn let me know if you get any replies. i even have the mayo clinic looking into this. i do/did have cardiac issues, 11 stents, triple bypass and a stroke. the chest pain felt nearly like a cardio incident. went to my cardiologist and found that my pipes are extremely clear. thats when i started to take a different tact. the chest pain is very bad at times. sometimes while sitting i will get it lightly but if i go up a set of stairs (12) twice, i hurt so bad its almost unbearable.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Enough that if you are on a low sodium diet you should talk to your doctor before taking this drug. Hope this helps.
773755 tn?1328119777 It was about eight months i was on it. I hope this helps you out....I think that you have to weigh your options and dont stay on it long..It has side effects.....
1311475 tn?1274198780 HI and welcome to the forum..sounds to me like you have built up a tolerance to all your meds...the benzo's will quit working after a wile and you cant just stop taking them you have to go off slowly to avoid seizures as for the methadone I got up to 150ml and it quit working for pain it took 6yrs but eventually even 150ml wouldn't work any more...
Avatar n tn Can you discuss tthe EMG results I noted in my post?
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
176838 tn?1211460374 Wow, your history is almost exactly like mine. I was first dx'd with fibro and then it was taken away when the swelling of the joints started and the daily fevers. I have Still's disease and it is a rare arthritis, it just took forever to get dx'd with it. Do you have fevers or rashes of any kind? I have on my profile all the info about Still's, your welcome to check it out. Hopefully your labs will pinpoint the direction of a dx.
1770281 tn?1315399993 , but they are in a sense of our brain chemistry and neurotransmitters get used to them. Effexor and Cymbalta are hard to get off of. I have been on and off 8 different SSRI's over the yrs. so I have experienced these withdrawals. I would sometimes get feelings of electric shock and kind of a vertigo feeling even when I was just LATE w/my dose! I am only taking Effexor XR. The extended release helps. You need to talk to your dr.
Avatar f tn I do not know you, but Congrats , you have come a long way. There is a drug called Mobic, that is for pain, you could ask your DR.
Avatar n tn ve heard that it is a pressure change either way--low to high or high to low--just any presure change. have you heard that low is worse? do you know why? of course, i live in idaho where the joke is "if you don't like the weather in idaho, wait 15 minutes and it will change." basically, we get alot of weather changes. i need to live somewhere that is more stable--if such a place exists!
Avatar f tn IM HAVING BAD HEADACHS ON MY LEFT SIDE OF THE HEAD. ITS THAT BAD THAT I GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.NO MEDICATION HELP ME. I GOT CT SCAN DONT EVERYTHINGIS FINE. IT GOES AWAY FOR FEW MONTHS AND COME BACK.. I DNT UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON WITH ME.
Avatar f tn t, then they may be fine for you. Something else to think about is that they warn you that if you are allergic to sulfonamides you should not take drugs like Celebrex since they do contain sulfonamides. Celebrex, Bextra and another one on the market that I can't think of right now fall into this category.
