I have posted here before in greater detail of my problem,but to make a long story somewhat short... This past year, I had three ovarian cysts rupture (2 were diagnosed -through u/s for the second rupture, and through ct scan for the third rupture). I also had the exact episode happen in February, but did not know what it was as I did not seek medical attention. I had been having these episodes happen numerous times over the years, but never knew what it was until now.
Majority of women do experience ovarian cysts and they generally do go away on their own without any damage. Caution that if it is on the larger size then it could rupture or twist in which you will experience extreme pain. If this happens it is an emergent situation and you need to go to the ER.
Many women find that they need to get second and third opinions in order to get answers they need from someone they trust.
I am not a Dr by any means, but can tell you experience about a ruptured cyst. I had numerous ovarian cysts, some would rupture, some would need surgery. When I would have a rupture usually it was a very serious, intense, double me over type pain that would ease in a couple of hours, but still feel tender. My last cyst that ruptured however did become a more emergent surgery for me.
t know anything about ovarian cysts, I need to do some research on it. My main concern is that we are trying to get pregnant again and I don't want them to affect anything. I don't know what happens when they rupture, or is there any symptoms where you can tell if you have one? I'd like any info please. Thanks!

I get functional ovarian cysts. The kind that form during ovulation. Then rupture. Sometimes i get pain that goes all the way up to my ribs, and in my lower back. When mine rupture they disspell fluid into my abdomin. And the fluid irritates my insides. Call your doctor and make a appointment to be safe. If the pain gets worse or you develope a fever, go straight to the ER, cause it could be something else. Motrin helps with the pain.
i was told i have two ovarian cyst one on each side. I was told one ruptured and they found fluids. How long will the pain last. My cyst are only 1. something centimeters.
I unfortunately have recurring cysts but have had enough to know when they rupture and what to do. As far as the insurance thing goes I didn't have insurance for years either but I found a doctor who will see me on a sliding scale. In other words they base my payment on my income (which is currently unemployment). Just a suggestion. Or maybe you can also find what's called a physician's directory to find a doctor that will take you on little or no payment!
i never had bleeding with sex but sometimes it would hurt. i find that my cysts burst when i was on the toilet. tmi- i think it was when i "pushed" to urinat or have a bm. Using those muscles would sometimes burst the cyst. not that i tried to burst them, but it would happen if i had to go to the bathroom. does that happen to you? sometimes they just burst when im doing nothing, but most of the time if i was using those muscles (pc muscles maybe?
t have to worry about ruptures, but after I stopped taking the pill, my cysts came back with a vengeance and I endured a few minor ruptures. I have always had nausea when cysts were present, and I do believe even after the rupture I had nausea and I did certainly have pains afterwards. The thing is you may have more than one cysts and though one had ruptured, it can cause others to become inflamed or prone to rupture - like a chain reaction.
Ok so my pelvic area feels ok now still a little achey though. Do ovarian cysts cause sharp jolting pain to my backside. Does this sound like an ovarian cyst? For any ladies that have had them what were ur symptoms? On a scale of 1 to 10 what would u rate ur pain? The other day mine was about a 12! I was bawling my eyes out! I do have PCOS (diagnosed last yr) BUT I have never had a cyst before.
I have a history of ruptured ovarian cysts in my late teens/early twenties which landed me in the hospital 3 times, but have had no problems since. My Dr says we will just keep an eye on them and not to worry.I am set to have regular ultrasounds to watch for shortening of the cervix (i had a pretty serious leep done after the birth of my son), so she has told me we will catch anything. But we should keep sexual activity gentle so as not to rupture them.
