mobic

Avatar m tn so maybe----maybe the drs. ands pharmacists are just not taking the time for it? Time is money--know what i mean.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar n tn if you are not abusing you pain meds then i don't think suboxone is the right choice at all for you. it is mainly used for relapse prevention. it's does little for pain. i have a friend who is on pain med yet does not abuse. when he becomes tolerant, he has his doctor switch him to a different medicine rather than up his dose. he absolutely refuses to be put on oxycontin. it is my understanding that withdrawing from suboxone is very very hard and long lasting.
Avatar m tn The proximity of your mobic intake and the symptoms may point out to a possible adverse drug reaction. Adverse drug experiences can come in many forms and not just with the rashes. We cannot also discount the possibility that the burning sensation can be an impinged nerve as you have a history before a bulging disk. I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop.
1699107 tn?1307306696 I have been completely off Oxys for about a week and never did have really bad withdrawals. But the PAIN in my knee and back is devastating. I can hardly take care of myself it hurts so bad. Simple thinks like showers or getting down stairs are very hard. I don't know what is going to happen at this appointment but I do NOT want to live in this kind of pain.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar m tn Enough that if you are on a low sodium diet you should talk to your doctor before taking this drug. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......
635402 tn?1270162477 From a strict treatment point of view, yes, the medication probably is better than Imitrex alone for a migraine. The reason for this is twofold. First of all, several years ago, Dr. Silberstein of the Jefferson Headache Center was able to demonstrate through research, that Imitrex combined with naprosyn taken at the onset of a migraine was better in treating that migraine than either drug alone. Such a combination is deemed synergistic, meaning basically that two plus two equals ten.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the responses!! You know, the whole reason of why I ended up at the neurologist’s office after the orthopedic, rheumatologist, and a string of others, is that I was struck by lightning nearly two years ago. It came through the water and up my left leg, as I was attempting to enter the shower, throwing me back into the bathroom closet. There was no sign of rain, but just as I had put the one foot in and began to get in completely, there was a BOOM!
Avatar m tn 50 mg and yea motrin 800 doesn't work for me either and is rough on my stomach but mobic(that's the non generic name for meloxicam) is only 15mg and doesn't bother my stomach.
Avatar m tn ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.
Avatar f tn Have you tried antiinflammatories for regular pain and toradol for bad pain? Many of the medication they prescribe for fibromyalgia is non narcotic , but I can't recall the names off hand. I know many are on nuerotin for pain, but not sure it thats addicting. I know I was not much help, but wanted to tap in to say CONGRATS on all those clean years. Hope you get some long term relief.
Avatar f tn Arthrotec works well but is useless as most nsaids are during a R.A flare. If you are only having mild RA pain and just need something to keep it under control I highly reccomend trying Arthrotec. I am not a physician so of course speak to your RA Dr before using arthrotec dont want any issues with contradicting other meds you may be taking. Of course only you know what your pain level is and on major flare days only strong narcotics will help sometimes.
1311475 tn?1274198780 I am on methadone 10mg twice a day, I am supposed to take clonazapam .05mg 4 times a day. I tapered myself down from 90mg over a months time span. The clonazapam I take occasionally and rarely. I stopped taking the clonazapam because I was having all of the side effects listed on the drug. I mean all of them. I haven't been on it on a regular basis for over 4 or 5 months now. I didn't want to be on this drug, but this is what the psychiatrist recommended.
Avatar f tn I do not know you, but Congrats , you have come a long way. There is a drug called Mobic, that is for pain, you could ask your DR.
Avatar f tn I realized that this all started (chest pains) around the time I was perscribed Mobic for plantar fascitis. Found out side effect of this RX is chest pain. Have stopped drug. Visited my GP today who shows me a copy of my heart cath. It says I have a LED Sep (Ostial) Calcified Discret 70% lesion. The cardiologist told me all was well. Is this a minor defect or should I be concerned? Thank you.
335728 tn?1331414412 Voltarin and Mobic (anti-inflammatories) both caused me to be super sun sensitive. The Voltarin came with a warning on the prescription bottle, but the Mobic didn't. With the Mobic, I got a light sunburn and ended up breaking out in sun poisoning. Thanks for the warning reminder!
3122657 tn?1357432602 Mobic is the brand name...Meloxicam is the generic...I take it for my joint pain brought on by TX. Its a prescription only NSAID that is easier on the stomach than Ibu and Naproxen. It helps some. I also use Arnicare (arnica gel)...its homeopathic stuff that I rub on my knee, wrists, etc. I'm not sure about rubbing alcohol thing.
Avatar f tn The steroids that are used as injections or instills for IC have different ingredients than pill forms of steroids. It could be a filler/binder or dye that's causing the burning feeling. Are you doing the steroid therapy for your IC or another condition?
Avatar f tn t know what is causing the pain above my mouth and through my head. i go to a large teaching faciltiy. Should I get a second opinion?
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
Avatar n tn I came across some soma and really do not know what it is for. is it a narcotic? is it addictive?
Avatar f tn Is it bad to stop taking Zoloft cold turkey? It really works for my anxiety, but I've been taking other meds and I'm afraid of interactions. I take Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Mobic.
Avatar m tn i have taken mobic before..not long enough to get addicted if they are addictive..have you tried lyrica? some have good luck with it>..
