mobic

Avatar m tn what is mobic? Ssgtwirtz--when did you realize you had worries about this combo of drugs? And i see this sort of question a lot about patients leaving the dr. office without full knowledge of effects. Then many times unless directly asked the same for the pharmacy! I know it should be patients responsibility but often they are occupied with more pressing concerns---pain---sickness- anxiety etc. so maybe----maybe the drs. ands pharmacists are just not taking the time for it?
Avatar n tn The others here are better at explaining how long withdrawals last, what to expect, what to do, what to buy. It was 5 good days of the harder withdrawals off of lortab for me back when I quit it abruptly or as they say here, "cold turkey," or CT. I don't understand why your doctor didn't work up a plan to taper you off of the lortab. He had to know what you would go through.

Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar n tn You should be seen by a rheumatologist to determine what kind of arthritis or auto-immune issue is causing this. You need to treat the disease, not just the symptoms.

Avatar n tn I have a question. Are drugs in the benzo family ever used to treat seizures? As in Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, etc? I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. I started realizing I got less of my sensory and motor seizures which have always been uncontrollable since I started getting them back in 2000.
Avatar f tn There are many, many medications available to treat not only the pain and inflammation, but also slow down and hopefully halt the progression of the disease itself. The frustrating part is finding the right medication or combination of meds for you - no two people respond the same way to the same medications. My "cocktail" is Enbrel and methotrexate, plus an anti-inflammatory called meloxicam (Mobic). These three meds only scratch the surface of what's available. Good luck!

Avatar m tn But from what I understand about it, its just a stronger NSAID so Im not sure how helpful its going to be with nerve pain. I have to go get a lumbar MRI to hopefully see what the deal is. My previous doctor said I had reflex sympathetic dystrophy, but when I talked with others who had it there pain seemed much more severe than mine. My main concern was to find out if it was similar to tramadol at all, but I just looked it up and they seem completely different.
1770281 tn?1315399993 It should be monitored by a doctor and a clear plan in place as to how the tapering down is going to be done. You should contact your doctor tomorrow and see what he/she suggests since clearly your cold turkey off your effexor is causing you problems.

1699107 tn?1307306696 I'm scheduled for appointment at t=a pain clinic in an hour. I have been completely off Oxys for about a week and never did have really bad withdrawals. But the PAIN in my knee and back is devastating. I can hardly take care of myself it hurts so bad. Simple thinks like showers or getting down stairs are very hard. I don't know what is going to happen at this appointment but I do NOT want to live in this kind of pain.
Avatar n tn Hello, Did your symptoms begin when you began to take Mobic? Tell your Doctor right away. I don't know enough about Mobic but I do know that any unusual symptoms, especially when you begin a new drug, need to be reported to your Dr. If you're having an adverse reaction you need to let the Dr. know before it advances. Take care, and take care of yourself.
Avatar f tn I really dont want to take steroids I seen the afftect that they have on your body because of my husband having to take them for over 2yrs for a kidney disease. I know this is going to take time to figure out what is wrong because I have already been through an ordeal like this with my husband for 5yrs not knowing what was wrong with him and almost losing him before they found out that he has a liver diease that was causing everything else that was wrong with him.
Avatar m tn I suggest you take this to your doctor. You may also want to hold mobic for a while and see if the symptoms would stop. Stress can also heighten our sensations and may contribute to your symptoms. Regards and God bless.
Avatar f tn Everything flares my IC. The only antibiotic I can take that doesn't feel like battery acid is Keflex. Every NSAID I have tried feels like battery acid (ibuprophen, mobic). My doc put me on methylprednisolone as a last ditch effort and EVEN THAT feels like battery acid, but unlike with all the others.. after the medication left my system I felt 100% like a normal, pain free, human being. I desperately, desperately want to continue with steroid therapy but I don't know what to try next.
Avatar n tn Well, you should NEVER stop medication on your own without notifying your doctor. Do you have a mood disorder or bipolar? That is really important to treat. Talk to your doctor. Seroquel works well instead of Abilify as you know (why did you change?) but there are others in the same class of drugs as well that are good medications. There are several to choose from. Seroquel is one and if it worked before, no reason to change. But that is between you and your doctor.

1311475 tn?1274198780 When I quit taking the clonazapam I was continuing to have ALL of the side effects on the info list. I could see up to a month later but beyond that something is wrong. My Dr. that I used to see had just gotten done with a physical where I was given a clean bill of health despite my Hepatitis C, and chronic pain issues. Now I am even having stroke symptoms. The laxative I took, I got the order for when I called my new Dr.
