If you are having anxiety this bad why are they not treating that? It truly is a real problem for people. Hang in there and try to figure out if there is something that triggers this to happen. Sucking on some ice or drinking a coke can help the asthma too if you don't have an emergency inhaler. A cold wash cloth around your throat can help too. Goodluck.

It states you posted your comments 16 hours ago. I think it's time to get a
second opinion. Don't know what proair is. I'm guessing it's an asthma
medication. Asthma as you know can get quite serious. Perhaps you
should seek medical attention for your daughter. By this I don't mean taking
her back to the pediatrician. I think you might consider going to your nearest
hospital and going to the emergency department.
Oximetry with a saturation of 86 to 87% is on the borderline of indications for the continuous oxygen. You will need further information, for example what are your saturations while asleep, before making any decisions concerning the use of oxygen.
You are correct in wanting to wait until you have achieved optimum benefit from the Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol, before any consideration of oxygen use.
For Prevention Steroid inhalers are used regularly for prevention of attacks. The steroid content is very low in an inhaler and only acts locally. Use will prevent the causative allergens from triggering an attack. Repeated cold with nasal blockage can trigger attacks. Keep the nostrils clear of blockages by using nasal drops. For the steam inhalation you can use eucalyptus oil or you can use just the steam also.

I been smoking for 11 years now. The er at the time prescribed me ventolin hfa. I went to my regular dr a week later and they ordered me a pulmonary function test. I got the results and it says that there is nothing wrong with my lungs. But i still continue to get the cough off and on every 3-4 months. Every time i use my inhaler, my chest gets aggravated and congested and it makes me cough more...as of 2013, im 28 weeks pregnant and im still smokin cigarettes.
The “near fatal reaction” may have had a component of airway inflammation, that served to “tip-off” your asthma, much as can happen with a severe respiratory infection, such as bronchitis, resulting in what is called bronchial hyperreactivity, a feature of asthma. i have used proair and the little red abuteral inhaler and now im on flovent none of these has worked for me. abuteral makes me really shaky and nervous and flovent is useless and really expensive. do you know of any other good inhalers or medications to try and also is there any meds to stop the irratation and itchy feeling in throat and chest due to asthma.
I have no idea what causes these strange things, and the doctors that I have been brave enough to tell, have dismissed them. I really want to know if there is an explanation for any of this. Is there a significant difference between using an albuterol inhaler as opposed to a Combivent inhaler? I have a family member that receives an extra monthly Combivent inhaler but am not sure if it is safe to use long term instead of the albuterol I was prescribed.
During the attack, asthalin inhalers are used. Asthalin is used only during the attack and is not used for prevention. In the meantime try to take warm oral fluids and do steam inhalations prior to your meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions.

i have been battling strange behavior from my body. in my condo, i have two AC units on the roof of the building. one AC controls the Bedroom, bathroom and the other one controls the livingroom area. at one time i could not walk from the bedroom to the livingroom area unless i stopped to catch my breath. i recently found that pigeons were nesting in my bedroom AC unit. i have taken care of that problem. the guys said it was at least 30lbs shoveled from the unit. i can now walk more freely.

I took it and now Im on prescription number 3. The Dr had given me a prescription for an inhaler one that is used for asthma. I researched and a lot of our symptoms seem to be the same as those who do experiance asthma. I went to the MOA yesterday and the cold did seem to really set it off. I had just filled the inhaler (ProAir HFA) at CVS so I figured I would try it. I am so frsutrated I feel like theres nothing else I can do. It seems to work.
Ive been in and out of the hospital for muscle pains(undiagnosed) chest pains(undiagnosed) epididimydus,ortitus and hormone deficiencies, im on dilaudid,oxycontin,valium,cortisone,protonix,doxycycline, and levafloxacin, flovent, pulmacort, proair, my resting heart rate is anywhere between 65-80 and right now its dropping to 53 and if i get close to sleep even lower ive been bed riddin and sick will i wake up if i fall asleep or will my heart stop im not in good physical condition i havent even b
