, and "qvar beclomethasone diproionate hfa" will this go away on its own eventually?
In July I thought I was having allergy problems. Turned out to be pneumonia. I thought I was ok after meds. Then I had a really bad asthma attack. I did not know what was happening. Really bad coughing and hard to breathe. Went to ER and they gave me breathing meds. I saw an allergist yesterday and he put me on Adviair and Proair. I haven't had the Proair prescriptioin filled yet as I still have proventil. Sorry to ramble on.
Advair is only a maintence drug which will only help you over time but it is not an emergency inhaler (like ventolin or proair). Advair if not taken as prescribed can make things worse and can make you very ill. Please never take more than the 4 puffs per day. Anxiety can do really bizarre things to people. It can make you feel like you are sufficating.
Pediatrician prescribed proair with chamber for my 5 yr old. She a nagging cough since a bout of bronchitus this past Christmas. Gave her 2 puffs at 1pm. Now at4:35 pm she has been coughing nonstop.
Is there a significant difference between using an albuterol inhaler as opposed to a Combivent inhaler? I have a family member that receives an extra monthly Combivent inhaler but am not sure if it is safe to use long term instead of the albuterol I was prescribed.
ve lived in the same town my whole life and no change in living conditions. My doctor prescribed me Pro Air HFA. Immediately I was using it more than the recommended amounts. It makes me very jittery and makes my hands shake. When I came in I was told to keep using it and then prescribed Qvar. The Qvar gave me debilitating headaches. I've since stopped taking both but the headaches and shaking still continue.
She is being referred to a pulmonologist now due to the some of her meds not working well. She is experienceing wheezing a bit but not really the heavy coughing this time. Its wierd. Her doctor has been closely watching her and put her on symbicort and the proventil hfa, and singulair. thanks for the heating pad tip!
Well I had this terrible cough that soon caused chest pains and now I'm choking on phlegm and can't eat anything because whatever I eat makes me feel like I'm going to choke except for chicken noodle soup. When I cough, I spit up clear phlegm and sometimes the coughing hurts my chest really bad. Sometimes when I cough the phlegm I sometimes choke on it a little bit and can't breathe for 1-5 seconds and I also sometimes have trouble swallowing.
What will happen if you don't rinse your mouth out after you use the Proventil HFA inhaler?
A month later I had a similar episode and I used the inhaler and it didnt seem to help. At least not soon enough. My symptoms eventually subsided. I went back to the doc and he ordered a chest xray, blood tests and heart tests which all came back ok. Anyway, these symptoms have been occuring more and more regularly lately, on a day to day basis, which can be very unsettling. I havent had 1 day in the last month that I didnt feel short of breath and or my irregular breathing.
So my doctor had me use 2 different inhalers. Azmacort and proair. The inhalers help a lot with my chest pain and breathing difficulties. I had 2 chest x-rays done, a Catscan done on my chest and some blood work but when the x-rays came back they didn't show anything. Though my doctor also said this could be a long term thing, but hasn't told me what exactly was wrong: So I am wondering if this is some kind of asthma?
In August of last year, my 10 year old son developed pneumonia. From that day on, a severe cough would show itself about every two weeks. I had just filled the inhaler (ProAir HFA) at CVS so I figured I would try it. I am so frsutrated I feel like theres nothing else I can do. It seems to work. while walking through the Mall I felt like I could breath. i felt like fresh air was getting into my chest. Its been weeks. I think it helps to open the air way but I still was coughing. Just not as much. Right now Im at home and the cough is bad again. I tried the inhaler an hour or so ago and it doesnt really seem to help.
