ditropan

Avatar m tn t hurt the dog. Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic drug that is actually used in dogs to treat urinary incontinence. It doesn't work on the actual bladder sphinter, it works by relaxing the bladder muscle so that it is able to store more urine without feeling full. If the dog were to ingest one, there should be no ill effects.
Avatar m tn And the doctor suggests it no harm in using for longer period. Problem with this kid is that he is asymptomatic. He is active enough and good in all other aspects. Every six months we have the tests and assuring that the kidney growth and capacity is as per his age. At what age he will be cooperative for doing this test? Please advice whether the usage of medicine for longer period causes any side-effects in future. Also suggests any further care to be taken for the kid.

Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.
Avatar f tn I Cher, I too was diagnose with IC in 2008. It is a tricky disease that one. Have you had any surgeries that would account for the pain? Did you try Hydroxyzine by any chance. I'm sorry you have to deal with this and there is no easy answer. Do you have ulcers in your bladder, have you tried instillations? I personnaly have not used elmiron or instillations because my URO doesn't believe in them, so curious if you have tried them.
Avatar f tn Testing TSH is the general practice in diagnosing for hypothyroidism. If TSH is above about 10 it is called overt hypothyroidism and treated. If the TSH is above the range limit, but less than 10 it is called subclinical hypothyroidism and the patient is typically told there is no thyroid problem and symptoms must be due to something else. This practice is erroneous.
Avatar f tn It affects mostly hands wrists elbows and occasionally feet. I also have marfan syndrome (mild) and have had cardiac ablation for 2 extra pathways through AV node still have an inappropriate sinus tachycardia. My question. I get parasthesias starting I'n my hands and feet starting a few hours after sun exposure. I try to minimize sun exposure but not always possible. After a sunny week parasthesias will last into the first few cloudy days. My rheumologist says he has never heard of this.
Avatar n tn My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Lovastatin for 2 months. For the past couple of weeks I've been experiencing aching kidneys and I'm very tired. I had blood work done today for follow up of the drug and notified the doctor that I had this problem. My body temperature is 96.8, which I realize is a bit low, but perhaps normal? Could the achiness be due to the Lovastatin? I'm quite concerned about this and have had kidney problems as a child.
1335869 tn?1275658008 I've had more than a few catheters in my time, and I can relate to what your husband is feeling. Overactive-Bladder or Urinary Urgency is quite a common feeling when a catheter is present, in my experience at least. Ask his Urologist for a Urinary/Bladder antispasmodic.
