Avatar f tn I'm curious if you are on any prescription meds? I have had patm for over two years. I take Wellbutrin (bupropion) for depression. I'm experimenting with a few weeks without the medication and I think it may be reducing reactions. Any one else on prescription meds, specifically depression medication?
Avatar f tn Get your urologist or GP to prescribe you an anti-spasmodic medication. I use Oxybutynin, as it works best for me, but there are numerous others on the market. Are you sure your stone is 4cm??? That's awfully large for a kidney-stone. There are 'staghorn' stones that form inside the kidney itself and fill the cavities of the kidney (the 'poles' of the kidney) that may get that large, but the chances of having a 4cm stone in your bladder are slim.
1335869 tn?1275658008 I've had more than a few catheters in my time, and I can relate to what your husband is feeling. Overactive-Bladder or Urinary Urgency is quite a common feeling when a catheter is present, in my experience at least. Ask his Urologist for a Urinary/Bladder antispasmodic.
Avatar f tn Can I take 2 or 3 Ibuprofen and 1 phenazoptridine 100mg and 1 oxybutynin 5mg The Dr, gave me Cipro to take 2 hrs, before I go to Drs, will this help me or not? If not what can I do to prevent the bad pain I hear about after stent removal. please help me.
Avatar m tn And the doctor suggests it no harm in using for longer period. Problem with this kid is that he is asymptomatic. He is active enough and good in all other aspects. Every six months we have the tests and assuring that the kidney growth and capacity is as per his age. At what age he will be cooperative for doing this test? Please advice whether the usage of medicine for longer period causes any side-effects in future. Also suggests any further care to be taken for the kid.
Avatar f tn A doctor who was a MD looked at my genital and said looks like no disease but some yeast infection it looks dry,she asked me if I am diabetic, then I explained the situation what I did with it,she was assuming i myself cause the problem with the sanatizer and later she took tests for STD and it came back negative, but mean while I had frequent urination and sudden diarrhea for 3 days and when I went back for second visit the doc said she will see my urine in microscope and results still normal no
Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.
Avatar f tn Testing TSH is the general practice in diagnosing for hypothyroidism. If TSH is above about 10 it is called overt hypothyroidism and treated. If the TSH is above the range limit, but less than 10 it is called subclinical hypothyroidism and the patient is typically told there is no thyroid problem and symptoms must be due to something else. This practice is erroneous.
Avatar f tn Hi, The med methotextrate has a warning on the packet in australia for sun exposure. It has a warning that sun exposure can make you feel ill and exacerbate any symptoms. Hope this help Take care.
Avatar n tn My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
359574 tn?1328360424 I happen to come across your comments as I was searching drugs for overactive bladder. I was taking enabled which I liked. Then I decided after a couple years to see how I did without it and for two years I had no urgency. Then it came back. I finished an unused bottle or enabled, but when I went to refill it, my newer insurance co. said no. So I HAD to try a generic drug, oxybutynin. I'm almost done with one months and it is just drying me out.
Avatar f tn I had blood work done today for follow up of the drug and notified the doctor that I had this problem. My body temperature is 96.8, which I realize is a bit low, but perhaps normal? Could the achiness be due to the Lovastatin? I'm quite concerned about this and have had kidney problems as a child. The feeling I have now is like it was 50 years ago. Any thoughts? I'm waiting for the results of the blood work to see if anything shows up.
4133020 tn?1350310377 I am so sorry your daughter is going through this. Have you tried doing some research online. Maybe it's due to her harmones changing. She is at that age. I am not a doctor. This is just what came to mind maybe something that could control her harmones would help. I am so glad she has such a loving mom. I will be praying for her. Keep us informed.
Avatar f tn Is this the result of a medication for Depression? or is it just that issue?
Avatar f tn Sound familiar to anyone? I also have severe kidney pain. Is that related to IC? Anyone else have kidney pain. What treatments have worked for you? The Dr. recently put me on Vesicare, but I heard it has some bad side effects, anyone have any opinions or thoughts on that?
Avatar f tn I just wondered how they work out what is neurological and what is not when it comes to the incontinence stuff.

Avatar f tn THE SURGEON SAID IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT SHE STILL IS WET UNDER HER ARMS AND THAT IT COMES FROM HER BACK. THE SWEAT STILL IS DEFINITELY UNDER THE ARMS BUT NOW ON HER BACK AND SOMETIMES LEGS ASWELL. WHAT CAN I DO? IT IS VERY EMBARRESING FOR HER. SHE MUST ALWAYS COVER HERSELF WITH SOMETHING TO HIDE THE WETNESS. ANOTHER DR SAID STRESS IS CAUSING IT. THIS DR DID BLOOD TESTS.
Avatar f tn I have a chronic pain condition but have never experienced pure hell like I have been. Pain meds, azo standard maximum strength and 2 ltrs of water a day is what I am doing now along with rest and a heating pad. Is there anything else I can do to make life more manageable?
Avatar f tn Hi all, a bit about my history, have had an overactive bladder treated for about last 20 years with oxybutynin and whilst not perfect, everything was fine to live a normal lifestyle, play sports, gym, go out drinking etc, I’m now 38, male. A couple of years ago I felt like what was a trapped nerve around my coccyx area and was unable to sit down for a couple of days, the pain was excruciating.
461014 tn?1233100391 My 6yr old still has issues with wetting the bed at night and having accidents during the day. We have had her tested quite a few times in the past few years for bladder infections and we have even tried Oxybutynin. The doctor can never seem to find any "problems" that are causing her to have these accidents. He just says she should out grow it. But it's only seeming to get worse. She wets the bed almost everynight and she's been having more than one accident a day at school.
Avatar m tn there is no best medication for the condition you described. And medication has to fit the whole picture about the person and that can only be done through a consultation with a well-qualified psychiatrist.
Avatar m tn There is Clonazepam. Also known as Klonopin. Which is an anxiety med. My question is what has your question got to do with anxiety? I'm a little bit confused. You can also check out the forum that deals with medication here on MedHelp. Just click on the list of forums. You will see it listed.
