I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.

The researchers do know that people who have Fibro, do not hit the level of sleep that is needed for the muscles to repair themselves; it is during sleep that that process takes place. This is a chronic problem that people say gets worse over time, it certainly has in me. Have the MRI done; this sounds like you have done something to yourself to cause an injury.

ive been asking for my drs to switch up my medication for a bout 6 months as this conconction isnt working but they tell me there is nothing else for me to try, ive also been on fentanyl patches before. has anyone tried anything or is on anything they can suggest to me? i cant beleive that with everything they can do in the medical world there are no other pain killers available? i get that im 23 and they dont want me to run out of things for when im older but i need pain releif now!!!

t work for you.Flexeril only works for 3 weeks then it is a sleeping pill really. I would go on an off as needed.

Doctor prescribed bentyl - didn’t work. Blood test is normal except for low protein due to diarrhea. Not dehydrated. Stool sample test is normal.

Can anyone tell me what Symbyax is and what effects it has on you? I have been on disability for two years and the insurance company video taped me pushing a grocery cart and lifting a bag of potatoes and canceled my policy. I had no restrictions. Long story short, I am in chronic pain and on heavy pain meds so my doc took me out of work Right now I have ZERO income and happen to have a dr's appointment today and when I saw my PCP I broke down. He gave me samples of this Symbyax.

it works just a little too well. It is prescribed for pilots who ahve to be alert for up to 36-48 hours...and it does just that. Brent really dislikes taking it but it's preferable to lying in bed all day. He takes a half and that about sends him thru the roof....but, it does get him up. You can always try it..take a quarter (50mgs) and see how that goes. Better than lying in bed..I agree with that comment! BTW, Brent is on week 71 of an 84 week TX. Somedays he just needs the boost.

I took this medication as prescribed. 1, twice a day for 3 days. I had my last pill with dinner yesterday. But the infection is still causing a small amout of pain during urination. And I am still experiencing pains in my abdomen. Is this normal? Normally when I take medication, I feel better before I'm even done the pills. This infection came on suddenly, and got worse by the hour until I took the second pill. My urine is still quite dark, but I know this is a side effect of the medication.

This is not a new pain treatment. Amitriptyline has been prescribed for years to relieve pain that is suspected to have a neuropathic component. I too am glad that it is working for you. it is also prescribed for sleep disorders (at low doses) as they found it does not work for what it was initially intended for...i was prescribed it, but havent resorted to it yet and probably wont...but it is used for sleep and as a boost or addition to antidepressants for depression...for use at night only as it does induce sleep...(25mgs-100mgs) 600 mgs is what was prescribed when used for bipolar etc...doesnt work well for that, it now has other uses...

hi.. i'm 21f.. i feel like there is something stuck in my throat for the past two weeks and cough.. i consulted the doctor soon after and he said there is nothing to worry.. he prescribed a antibiotic, painkiller and gargling for five days.. but i don't feel better.. last night i had blood taste when i cough and today i bleed when i cough.. what should it be..? is it dangerous or serious?

The only thing that seems to be helping it is tanning. I do not know what to do or how serious this is. Alli know is it is notgetting better.

i am not prescribed methamphetamine. while yes methamphetamine is highly addictive and highly abused. IT CAN BE PRESCRIBED FOR ADHD AND WEIGHTLOSS. Meth is a schedule 2 drug which means that it has a HIGH POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE but HAS MEDICAL USES. I dont believe it is used much at all but it is out there under the brand name of DESOXYN. i was curious if anyone out there was taking it. cocaine is schedule 2 as well. They can be prescribed.
