i'm now on 14 days of stimulation, (decapeptyl) subcutaneous injection...i had my hormonal blood test today and my Estradiol level is <20 pg/ml...what does it mean? i'm so confious...please help,!!! ANYBODY???

Start of my third week suppression, i was given a shot of gonal f for 225 ui for 5 days, after my lab test, estradiol is low and follicles are not present. dosage was increase to 375 ui for 3 days and still, estradiol is low and no follicles seen. doctor advised to cancel the ivf due to abandon cycle and try next cycle again with an increase dosge of 450ui. Why is it that my body is not responding to gonal f even though the dosage has been increased? Is there a problem?

I am currently taking Lupron and Estradiol leading up to my IVF. I am having awful headaches and some nausea with the estradiol. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Thanks!

Thank you all for commenting. This is our first frozen cycle so it is so different. Less shots. My wife is taking Lupron and combining that with vival patches and estradiol vaginal suppository. I really want this to work. If it does not I will be devasted...

6, Estradiol 72, Day 10 FSH 16.1, Estradiol 482). We are planning to start IVF this cycle. During my baseline today, I had only 5 total antral follicles, and my ovary size was smallish. I am extremely discouraged. I started Acupuncture 3 weeks ago, and wish I had started sooner. Can in still help me conceive or have a successful IVF cycle with these results? Thanks!!

I am trying not to get discouraged but doctor says I was on most aggressive protocol so no sense in trying to stim again. Next step I guess is DE if the IUI does not work. Anyone? Anyone? Thanks so much for anything you can tell me!!!

Well, the doctor who did my transfer told me to take 2 estrodial per day and 3 prometrium per day and shot of progesterone every other day and I wasn't due to go back until my pregnancy test 10/7. However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy.

And I don't see it used in that way. For heavy periods, it's not uncommon for girls to be put on birth control. But this one? Weird choice it appears. Some birth control pills use estrogen to decrease period issues and prevent pregnancy. But Femoston seems to be used more for peri menopausal and post menopausal women.

However I would have been so frustrated if he had not taken the time to tell me why he was making me wait. Something to keep in mind is (as frustrating as it is) the busier your RE is the more successful he is. We don't get to see ours very often as well. When I have a question for him I have to make a special apt and pay more money out of pocket since that apt is not part of my program. But he is very highly recmomended. So, I am ok with that.

ve been ttc for over three years and i have had the fertily workup done back then and there is no blockage in my tubes, or anything.

I had my trigger shot yesterday at 9am. My doc prescribed estradiol, prometrium (both in pill form) and progesterone suppositories for the next 2 weeks until my pregnancy blood test. Your FSH is great! (measures ovarian reserve). I think the other numbers are great, too! (not sure about prolactin) One of your tubes is blocked? That will decrease the chances somewhat, but plenty of women have conceived with one tube. At our age, though, we all have the time factor to consider, so IVF would be an excellent option. I know it's very expensive. We're considering it but I have no idea how we'd pay for it! I have a very high FSH. Last year it was 22!

When I did IVF, they would monitor my estrogen level and adjust the amount they gave me. It is for the uterus lining, but everyone is different. If your doctor does not monitor you closely, you might consider using a different doctor.

My RE had me start taking DHEA about 2 weeks ago and wants me on it for 3 months before we do ivf. Im currently on CD 7 and spotting has anyone else had this happen while on DHEA?

So, today is my 4th day of stimming for IVF (I'm on 200 iu's of follistim a day) and my estradiol level was only 19!!! The nurse called me, and I will now be on 400 iu's a day of follistim, but I'm still so so nervous that for some reason my body isn't reacting. Has anyone else experienced this? I went to a specialist- he said because I dont have so many eggs that he have to go agresive - gave me 150 iu Bravelle injectebles, estradiol, DHEA, and baby aspirin. After for 4 days I have to go for sonogram to see how I am responding. I want to do IUI. If anyone had IUI with Bravelle? Please, I need to know how it works!! I am 36, DH is 45.

I was told it is unlikely this pregnancy will result in a baby. Due to slow raising numbers. She is now 13.

I used it in conjuction with Lupron (to suppress ovulation) and Follistim (stim drug) in my last fresh IVF cycle. I produced more eggs than I did in my previous cycle where I used Follistim alone (I went from 4 eggs to 12 eggs). They transfered 2 eggs from that fresh cycle and unfortunately they did not take, but we also had one frozen embryo from the same cycle. We transfered that frozen embryo a few months later and I am now 20 weeks pregnant.

I can only imagine how frustrating this is! I have only done IUIs (IVF in March) and I know how you feel! I hope that there is time for those follies to grow and I pray that you have a successful IVF : ) Good LUCK!
