I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this,
Estradiol- normal
Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446)
Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600)
Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49)
DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300)
I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
i had the birth control patch and the the depo and nexplanon but really worked for me for a while was the depo but almost after a year on it the shot had me gaining weight so i got off of it but i was scared of getting the pill because i thought i was going to forget them but i went for it and got on the bc pills and instead of taking during the day was horrible for me i always would forget to take them during the day but what helped me my phone reminded me every night at 9pm to take it because

And I don't see it used in that way. For heavy periods, it's not uncommon for girls to be put on birth control. But this one? Weird choice it appears. Some birth control pills use estrogen to decrease period issues and prevent pregnancy. But Femoston seems to be used more for peri menopausal and post menopausal women.
I did an iud and my body rejected it so I had to get it taken out. I also tried the depo which made me start losing mass amounts of hair:( thank god I have a lot of it. I always used the pill because I can remember it and it doesn't give me any unwanted side effects. Beware of the depo,it works for some and is a living nightmare for others. If you're that active, using any birth control and CONDOMS everytime you should be fine.

What is estradiol? Estrogen? If it is estrogen, this is used to thicken the lining of the uterus. I don't think this should continue to be taken. My doctor has me stop this on day 15 of my cycle.
If it is progesterone, then yes, 12 weeks.... but depending on why it was prescribed.
I would be checking with your doctor asap, as he is the best one to answer this.

I have been on Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol birth control pills for more than 1 year. My last period occured during 10th Sept 2012. I stopped taking the pills from the 5th day of the current period cycle. We had unprotected sex from the 12th day of the current menstrual period cycle. Now just after doing the sex, I have started feeling sore nipples, dizzyness, cramps in lower abdomen, very thirsty and sometimes pain in one side of the body.
It has been 6 weeks since I had my Lil peanut butter, I had a c-cection and I bled ( like I was on period) about 2 1/2 weeks I went to the doctor a week ago and they put me on the depo shot. After I bled me and my bd had sex about 2 times one unprotected ( he used the pull out method) and second he used a condom this was before I was on birth control and I still haven't came on my period yet. Im getting very nervous. Is this normal??????
Hey, I'm a 60 year old women who is on Armour thyroid, and I am menopasal, I had a estradiol test, I believe it was 30 but should be 90 if I'm remembering right. Should I have a Progesterin test also? I read that Estriol is a good estrogene suppliment to use, I guess its used vaginally is that right? and it says I should use Progesterone along with it, do they have a progesteron that can be used vaginally? or is the cream good?
I'm 44 and have had very sporadic periods for a couple of years. My last period was last July. I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my doctor has confirmed perimenopause. My fsh was 58 and my estradiol was 223. He said that explained why I had had any "normal" menopause symptoms and said it means I don't need to consider hrt yet. Having Googled it seems unusual for estradiol levels to still be so high. Does anyone know what it might mean?
I used donor eggs for my last cycle. My donor had extremely low e2 levels but had follicles. I thought the cycle would be cancelled at any moment. But RE allowed it to continue and the e2 did rise but very very slowly. The whole process was torture but I'm delighted to report that it worked out perfectly in the end and I got my bfp. Hang in there, things can turn around very quickly.
Start of my third week suppression, i was given a shot of gonal f for 225 ui for 5 days, after my lab test, estradiol is low and follicles are not present. dosage was increase to 375 ui for 3 days and still, estradiol is low and no follicles seen. doctor advised to cancel the ivf due to abandon cycle and try next cycle again with an increase dosge of 450ui.

Yes, it's used routinely for that purpose. But there are many reasons for delayed puberty, and your perception of "puberty not progressing" might not be accurate. So it might be the right drug for you, or it might be the wrong drug for a problem that needs some other treatment, or it might be the wrong drug becaue your problem is resolving itself anyway. You need to be evaluated carefully by a doctor. Please, please don't just try something on you own.
Hi, everybody. My name's Kristin. I really, really hope someone here can help me. I'm terrified. I'm twenty-four, but for the last eight months or so, I've been having menopausal symptoms. My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results:
FSH
first test: 6.2
second test: 6.8
LH
first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was
second test: 7.
