Avatar f tn enlarged prostate regardless of biopsy outcome. Flomax does not seem to be making an improvement in frequency of urination--does this have an indication that cancer is more likely? In other words, if nodule were benign would the Flomax be likely to work better? Does progressive increase in frequency indicate a higher chance of cancer?
Avatar m tn Dear SonOfZeus, I have exactly the same symptoms like you - penile and testicular pain, especially after ejaculation, terminal dribbling after voiding. I've been to a dozen doctors and they say very different things. I hope it's the CP/CPPS condition and not urethral stricture (the latter being impossible to remedy). Please tell me the outcome of your condition because I'm really confused and not sure what to do.
Avatar m tn is this typical of strep prostatitis? Do you think the uroxatral and advodart are an over kill? The ultrasound of my prostate looked back to somewhat normal other than some calium deposits, which he said were a result of prostatitis. Seems like we are starting to weed out causes but the symptoms still seem to be lingering around.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?

Avatar n tn He was surprised by results, which showed a strong bladder function and even too much pressure inside the bladder. Based upon what he saw with cystoscopy, he expected to confirm a decompensated bladder. He and the 11 urologists in the group have never seen such a scenario. He wants to be cautious before preceding...which I appreciate. We are looking for a urologist who may have seen similar conditions. Any suggestions or help will be welcome.
Avatar n tn ve also been to a urologist who thought my problem might potentially be prostatitus or prostadynia, or possibly interstitial cystitis for which he prescribed a regimen of Prosed DS and Uroxatral. All treatments have failed to provide any significant relief. As a last ditch effort today he prescribed acyclovir as a clinical trial, being that we've tried everything else and I've not had any relief. If this doesn't work he's going to send me to an infections disease specialist.
Avatar m tn He put me on Cipro 500mg 2x day for 4 weeks and uroxatral 10mg 1xday. This regimen did not help so I then went on septra DS for only 9 days (3 week prescription) because I didn't notice an improvement (hindsight probably stopped this one too early). He then put me on 10 weeks at 100mg 2x day.
Avatar n tn Normally, I ignore the feeling and wait for it to masked by the filling of my bladder, but sometimes it is so annoying that I force myself to urinate again. This second time produces much less fluid and takes longer but still does not give me satisfaction. To get out that last quirt, I have to reach under my penis and put pressure on the urethra at the base of my scrotum.
Avatar m tn I do drink on occasion. I constantly find myself going to the bathroom to urinate. When I finishing urinating, I nearly immediately feel the urge to go again. I have been to the doctor but nothing came up. I was tested for infection and an STD (I've not been sexually active in four months). Any ideas? I have to be really careful how many times I go to a doctor because I cannot afford to change my high deductible insurance right now...
Avatar f tn What do you do if you have loved someone for 3 years and you put up with their weed habits but you never wanted a guy who smokes but you still gave it a try but you know that that is not what you want but you love them?
Avatar n tn I have not seen any improvement at all in my flow...how long does it take for a obvious difference? What if this does not work at all? He also gave me a booklet on Prostiva RF...which he said might me the next step. He is quite concerned on the size of the prostate as well as the very limited flow that I have. So my question is...what are next steps if the uroxtral does nothing to improve my condition? Also...should I be concerned that this is occuring while I am relatively young?
Avatar n tn Please consult an urologist. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn t use Flomax or other alpha blockers due to side effects -- disturbed sleep. Uroxatral even caused me to sleepwalk 15 feet from a nap on the sofa one evening, waking when I fell flat on my face in the next room! Separately, due to a Vitamin D deficiency my doc found, he put me on 50,000 units Vitamin D per week for 8 weeks, followed by biweekly doses. And guess what...the Vitamin D almost instantly "cured" the BPH.
535882 tn?1396576685 what does synthriod do? other than regulate your energy. what other functions does it help control in the body. or feelings, in the body. want to know, starting on it soon after total tyroid removal. 6 days after now. thanks for all info.
Avatar m tn If you are not allergic, do not have any problem with kidney function and do not have any ulcer history, you could take 600mg.four times per day for a week and see if this makes a difference. The dripping after urinating is something that often occurs as we get older and is not related to a urinary tract infections. You may have to wait a few seconds longer at the urinal or consider taking a medication such as Uroxatral for the rest of your life to try and control this.
