Avatar f tn I know what it is like to get jipped out on your REM and I dealt with that for too long. You feel sluggish, unmotivated, tired and lazy. What helped me and what I suggest for you is this: Exercise. Your doc is right. And it's been long and ancient knowledge that even 30 minutes of moderate exercise (jogging, going for a brisk walk) releases endorphines and other "happy hormones" that keep your body functioning at its best.
Avatar m tn And sometimes when you have inadequate sleep, it could cause sleep debt and make you to sleep soundly. However, if it persists consult your doctor to rule out sleep disorders. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I've been feeling like I'm getting to much sleep too I don't get to sleep 12 hrs bc I have an almost 2 yr old but I feel like i could very easily. This is my fourth baby and I've always felt so tired with each pregnancy but this time is the worst! I have an appt. Tuesday and I'm going to have the doc see if my iron levels are low or what else could be causing my extreme tiredness. I'm tired of being tired lol.
Avatar f tn It will tell you a wealth of info. regarding your sleep quality. Your primary care doctor should refer you to a sleep clinic to help diagnose this sleep problem.
Avatar f tn Your energy will come back. Be thankful you are able to sleep as many do not (not sure if that is due to the Tram anti-depressant property). I get that you want it all back...and NOW. However, you used Trams for quite some time and now it will take a bit to heal. You will get there girl...you will. You are doing GREAT and feeling about what is expected. Just keep pushing thru each hour...the time will add up.
405820 tn?1205272948 I got too much junk. Junk as in fat. I don't have the time to run like i used to. Now I am rapped up in school and all these pre-adult things. I need to lose weight now, before it gets out of my hands!!! I just don't have a clue what i can do. I can't afford weight loss programs and I am not allowed to walk the du-plex because of the people that live around us. Any advise.
Avatar n tn Yeah dude i know exactly what you mean. For something like 4 months now i've been having terrible sinus problems which was diagnosed as chronic sinusitus by a CT. My head feels foggy all the time and i can't concentrate on anything. I'm in high school still and i missed a lot of days because of my headaches and I'm having the hardest time making up the work, I can't get anything done at all.
Avatar f tn Over the past year I have had so much stress,3 friends have passed,my friends son,the birth of my daughter, gallbladder attacks, bowel attacks, cousin going into cardiac arrest while giving birth to her child,my uncle having a stroke (still in hospital),another uncle died (4days ago) and now my grandfather is going to pass anytime now, not to mention the normal daily stresses of life of raising 3 kids and trying to get myself better. I have gotten 4.
1238554 tn?1339420116 s really solved my sleep problems. You may want to ask your doc to increase your dose of amitriptyline and see if that helps. Does it help you now at all? I tried it decades ago and found it much too stimulating for me.
Avatar f tn I sleep better at night when I take a nap after work.
Avatar f tn ) would a pillow on the back help too?
Avatar n tn My 4 year old did that, and when I asked him pointedly why he always is making noise he said my brain tries to go to sleep if I don't. How astute. He's sitting next to me now on his own computer, tunelessly whistling, but it's soft. I'm sure she feels the same way. She's making audio noise so her brain is alert and functioning. Maybe you could get earplugs, or teach her to humm in a sweet way by humming with her?
3360193 tn?1365871889 My baby is 19 days old and just wants ti be held constantly when he is not sleeping. I'm happy to cuddle and hold him but i dont want him getting into the habit of constantly being held, and don't want him to be wanting cuddled all the time, how much is too much? can you cuddle a new baby too much?
Avatar n tn That is very normal in the first trimester. I would sleep 12 hours and still feel tired. When your body gets used to the hormones you won't be feeling so tired. Second trimester is the BEST. You'll have energy and feel great.
Avatar f tn What do you do after you stopped working and stay home before baby comes I feel so tired I just sleep a lot but I know that's not a good way to spend time at home.... tell me what you do?

918275 tn?1254068752 You can't worry about offending your doctor, especially since she isn't doing anything to help you. This alone would make me switch docs! I have gone thru periods where all I want to do is sleep, and my doctor told me not to give in to it, and I didn't. It was very difficult, as I could have laid down in a parking lot and gone to sleep, I was so tired. I kept fighting it, and eventually I got over it.
Avatar f tn babies eat, sleep and poop, like the above mentioned...just make sure you are waking up the baby every 2 to 4 hours to eat. And check on the baby frequently to make sure all is okay.
5159375 tn?1368562728 So my mom and I were talking today and she asked me what do I miss the most from my pre-pregnancy days since I'm not reaching the halfway point. I think one of the biggest things I miss is the spontaneous sex lol. It's just so awkward now with my belly covering so much. What do you ladies miss the most???
Avatar f tn Sleep all you want. You need to rest, besides you won't be sleeping much at all when the little one comes.
