Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''. The extra dopamine and norepinephrine you produce using this drug is contributing to the well-being feeling, focus and energy.
Yes since anxiety and depression go hand in hand feeding off each other in a vicious circle so you can get so agitated that you cant tell if you are more anxious or more depressed or which is the root cause.
he refered me to a psych. my psych told me that vyvanse would help my add and my depression. he started me on 30mg and had to move me up to 50mg after 2 weeks because it was wearing off half way through the day and i would get extremely tired. when i first started taking the drug i noticed that i was more clear headed and driven through the day. at the same time i noticed that my appetite had decressed,my throat stayed dry and i was having trouble falling asleep.
my 11 year old son is coming off of Vyvanse. He has been off for a month and he told me he was going to commit suicide becasue of is grades at school. I know this is not normal, but is tis one fo the side effects when coming off the drug?
m not to sure about how this stuff works and I was curious on how it works. Does Vyvanse help depression? I tend to think poorly about the future and about working out. But when I take a 40-50mg pill, I feel happy, confident, focused and smart. Am I the only one who experiences this? Is Vyvanse for just focusing or can it be used for depression? My 20 year old son recently gradually weaned off 60 mg/day Vyvanse so that he can join the Marines (must be off for 1 year - military rules). He is having a very rough time. Extreme fatigue, totally unmotivated, extreme focus issues. He says he feels like a totally different person off totally off the med. Appetite is high too but he knows how to control that. My question is are these symptoms temporary - does it take a while for his body to adjust to being off the med?

I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work. However I am really leery of taking new meds especially if I do not need them and even so I would like to see how I react to one before taking others on top of it.

For example, I would have really low energy and couldn't get out of bed, but at the same time I would have a crazy sex drive. I would be irritable but I could only think about how much I hate myself. I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.

I asked a question the other day about my daughter possibly abusing Vyvanse. Now my question is how does a 16 year old (or others of any age) abuse adderall? How exactly do they abuse adderall? How is it done? Im asking because I have high position that my daighter is not only "trying" to abuse her vyvanse but I think she also doing adderall and getting it off the streets (from friends she may know or known drug dealers). I can just see a big difference in her behavior.
It made me alert and focused, but most of all, it worked way better than Lexapro or Xanax ever did for depression. The Lexapro/Vyvanse combo put me in an extremely happy, positive mood, to the point where I would occasionally find myself being a chatterbox when talking to people. However, I wasn't "amped up" or jittery. I actually found it very easy to just sit at my desk and work all day.

i seriously want to quit taking EFFEXOR 525mg a day and vyvanse 50mg a day I can't handle the withdrawel symptoms. It has been 10 years of this medication nightmare. What should I do? Rehab?
I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. I am extremely tired, have anxiety with everything going on around me at once, and I cant concentrate at all, I walked around my kitchen for 15 minutes not knowing why i wass but knew there was a reason then finally got my car keys that i was needing to get in the first place. Is this normal?
Im a 19 years old boy and i have tried vyvanse which did miracles at first at 20mg until the effect decreased and had to go up to 60mg with no effects except the bad ones and went back to my old self(lazy, tired, unmotivated etc.). I am now on concerta 36mg and it seems like working but not all the time and clearly not as much as first time vyvanse.
I have never taken a pill like this before. Realizing I could possibly overdose and maybe die or even to get high... I took 3, 60mg Vyvanse capsules. I popped them at about 10:20 PM.. later in the night, I started to have a faster heart beat, having a hard time breathing, I was dizzy, my pupils were very big, I was panicking all night, my depression and anxiety only seemed to get worse, my forearms and legs started to hurt.
