The problem is because of slow down of stomach. As you said it right; GERD / Acid indigestion are often caused by slow stomach. When the stomach slowed down there is a build up of food and once you had mucus which was probably because of recent cold, it does not have a way to get out normally through colon. So what happens is that it tries to come out through mouth.
One way to get this problem resolved is to take necessary steps to empty the stomach through detox.

As you are vomiting you need to maintain water and electrolyte balance. Anti emetic, antibiotics, antispasmodics will help reduce symptoms against prescription.
I am a male age 60. In the last 6 months I have experienced coughing, choking and mucus for about 30 minutes after eating. I first thought it was related to a food allergy, but I cannot isolate it to any specific food group. I do not experinece and acid reflux or vomiting, just constant choking. This is very irritating and is a bit strange. Does anyone have an idea of the cause or where I should go for resolution.
Mucus is an irritant to the stomach, which is why whenever you get sick your stomach goes crazy for a while. Your doc is right: So long as the post nasal drip persists, so might your acid. In addition to the Zantac (which is a histamine (H2) inhibitor) ask your doc about taking some decongestants to help clear the mucus. This should also help.
My doc thinks my vomiting and indigestion could be helped with over the counter indigestion meds. Is anyone else taking anything? Have they worked? How have they reacted with your anxiety meds?

m a 25 year old male currently suffering with month long post-nasal drip, aswell as indigestion (usually belching after eating, and intermittent nausea which is sometimes worse at night).
At first, i had a dry cough for about one week that slowly began to produce yellow phlegm in my throat after eating.

I ate trail mix earlier today and have been paranoid I was getting a stomach bug because the indigestion and reflux is so bad. But now, hours later, still not nauseous or vomiting, just the acidity. I also don’t have a gallbladder and will now be avoiding trail mix.

Hmmm... sounds to me like an indigestion. Can't really tell which one, since I don't have enough information. At first I thought about problems of gall secretion or pancreatic secretion, but since you have those foul smelling feces, I am more inclined to think it could be a fructose intolerance. Have you noticed any foods, which could disprove or prove my theory correct? Get well soon!
To say this pregnancy has been easy would be a complete mistake. This is my second pregnancy. My son is now and six and I am pregnant with a girl. Excited but very miserable. I'm on anti nausea medicine (I'm up to taking four dicligest a day) just to keep from vomiting everything or anything I consume. I have indigestion/ heartburn from hell. Nothing helps. I swear I'm getting it just from smelling food. I can't sleep and even if I could the indigestion makes it impossible.
Recently, i have had continuous flow of mucus and clearing throat of mucus. Exposure to air while driving causes a continuous clearing of throat and mucus. Last week it seems to be getting worst as i find myself coughing for no reason, pain in my throat, vomiting and shortness of breath some times with a bout of hot flash.. A lot of your symptoms sound like gall bladder trouble. Although an ultrasound CAN detect problems with the gall bladder, a HIDA scan is a much better diagnosis tool for this. You can have problems with your gall bladder even if you don't have stones - you could have sludge or a non-functioning gall bladder.

For the past several days there has been a squeezing mild pain in the upper middle part of my abdomen. I recently developed a chest infection (coughing up mucus and such) and this began when the infection did. It is very random and when the wave hits, it only lasts about 2 seconds and I feel completely normal again. I'm concerned that it is something bigger than just indigestion due to the length of time it has been occurring. Could this be anything else that I'm not realizing?
My dog was vomiting mucus several times a day so I took him to the vet who took 2 xrays, blood and determined he had allergies. She gave him antibiotics, prilosec, benedryl and something else for his stomach which he took for a week. I stopped them after a week and he is throwing mucus up again. I have spent $500. so far. What can i do?
