my twin boys (26 mos. old) have been doing something very similar over the last 3 weeks. Diarrhea, mucus, foul smell, foul gas, more pale yellow smell. No fever, normal appetite, normal behavior (except for the diaper rash that the foul diarrhea gives). As soon as the BM hits their skin, it immediately burns and leaves it really red. I get it off of them immedietely, so I don't know why it burns them up so bad.
Im 36 weeks and have been losing mucus plug, contracting, throwing up and my cervix stretches to 3cm all since wednesday but there is just no sign of baby coming, its wearing me out already, im fed up i wish things would either stop or progress into labour, and i just know that even though i only have 27 days left its going to drag now cause of everything thats happening. Is anybody else having the same problem and how are you coping?
Not wanting to eat is not as much of a concern as not drinking is - a child can dehydrate very quickly and dehydration can be very serious, especially in a child. Dehydration will also happen a lot faster if the child is also vomiting and/or has diarrhea or a fever.

Today when he pooped it was a light green color and was rather slimy. When I checked him, he had also pooped mucus. He seemed fine. About 2.5 hours later he pooped again, lesser amount but still greenish, only this time with little black dots and not as slimy. I got him ready for bed and shortly after he threw up a little of his dinner. It almost smelled the same as the stool ( very different smelling). What could this be? This is the first time it happens.
I am hoping someone can please help me. I have been taking my son to a pediatric gastroenterologist for 9 months or more now because he was refusing to eat and had periods of recurring vomiting (not cyclic vomiting) and very low weight. He was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome (via genetic testing) and the Gastro put him on 30mg Prevacid for GERD. Nevertheless, the vomiting and not-eating continues.
Recently, i have had continuous flow of mucus and clearing throat of mucus. Exposure to air while driving causes a continuous clearing of throat and mucus. Last week it seems to be getting worst as i find myself coughing for no reason, pain in my throat, vomiting and shortness of breath some times with a bout of hot flash.. I now have to travel with a bottle of water. Everything does not subside until i clear my throat fully of mucus. During this time, i cannot speak until i clear my throat.
ve beem to a Pulminlogicist, Eye, Ear and Throat doctor but no relief. I vomit for long periods and the vomiting makes me so weak I can hardly stand up. One MD says I have asthma, another says allegeries, other says sinus infections/post nasal drip. I agree with the last doctor but can't find the right medication to clear it up. I hope we both stumble upon the right treatment for our coughing/vomiting/exhausting condition.
Has anyone experienced severe vomiting and diaherra around 26 weeks? I'm not able to keep anything down.
Hey ladies have any of you experience having extra mucus doing your pregnancy?? I find myself always blowing my nose when I don't even have a cold or sometimes it comes up outta the blue and I will have to spit and because my gag reflexes are ridiculously sensitive I end up vomiting and it's food but mostly mucus.
I am 6+1 and I haven't had the morning sickness kick in full force yet. I'm having to choke down food but no vomiting. I also have a toddler. Dreading when the vomiting starts! Maybe this babe will be a boy and I won't have any morning sickness because with DD I was barfing from 6 weeks well into mid-2nd tri. No advice, just empathy.
My dog was vomiting mucus several times a day so I took him to the vet who took 2 xrays, blood and determined he had allergies. She gave him antibiotics, prilosec, benedryl and something else for his stomach which he took for a week. I stopped them after a week and he is throwing mucus up again. I have spent $500. so far. What can i do?
I cannot eat because i get even more mucus and my throat is full of it and my stomach and my intestines and colon, from one end to the other...I was throwing up all night last night and it was mucus coming out both ends. It feels like I am going to drown. When I was a kid I would get it when I drank drinks with allot of sugar so I avoided sugar as much as possible but now......I recently got a thyroid blood test and TSH was high 5.8 but the uptake soft tissue test was normal.
I have mucus at the back of my throat too but it doesnt bother me soo much. just cough it up. What color does ur mucus have? if its white it maybe just an allergy. Yellow/green mucus usually a bacterial and viral ones. if ur too anxious just go to ur doctor. the stomach issue you got, for me suggest a gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD). This is just a self-proclaimed diagnosis, i might not be sure about this.
I have a 2 yr old that started with vomiting 2 weeks ago. Afetr 3 days of vomiting and stomach cramping almost mainly at night, he was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and testing. the Dr ordered blood testing, urine testing, and xray. He seemed to get better and testing showed nothing out of the ordinary. He was released on the third day, but began vomiting as soon as we got home. He was readmitted on the next day.
We have a male rottweiler who in the last month or so has started vomiting mucus, sometimes with a small amount of food in, no blood or anything untoward. He hasnt eaten anything he shouldnt and apart from the vomiting he is fine in himself. He does a slight hacking noise like he is clearing his throat and he seems to throw up after he has been laying down.

Its tough when they are that little. Pedialyte will be of no help unless they have vomiting and diarrhea. As for meds, unless they have an ear infection or something bacterial meds won't be of any help. There are a lot of viruses going around now, including influenza... you should take them to be checked out by the pediatrician just to be safe.
So my daughter has had trouble with vomiting 3-5 nights a week since she was a toddler (she is almost 11). She has been diagnosed with Asthma and a few environmental allergies. Her allergist stated that the vomiting is due to the asthma. However, I am starting to suspect the opposite may be true. I know vomiting is not good for her esophagus.
She does not experience pain before vomiting.
